My cars stock exhaust had a bad leak and I wanted a louder muffler so I took it to Velazquez and was very satisfied. I came in with no appointment and within 15 minutes had my car on a lift where they showed me the issue. I brought my own muffler I wanted to replace and within 30 minutes it was welded in and ready to go. Still working great after a week and happy with their service!

Came here for muffler work on a car I was buying from South Elgin Auto Sales. These guys got me in quick and got me fixed up nice, along with a year warranty on their repair. Maybe they could smile a little bit, but I ll keep coming back as long as they do good work.

Service is always fast and affordable. When I see an automobile service provider that is always busy, I have confidence that the technicians are only going to fix what is necessary. For years before online reviews, word-of-mouth has brought the best reviews of this establishment. This is the first and only place I go for Muffler/exhaust service.

Drove in this morning (10:00) with my daughter s F150 that desperately needed exhaust repairs. They pulled it in and within 15 minutes had me under the truck explaining what the issue was and what was needed to repair it. Turned out a pipe had rotted away and left the rest of the exhaust hanging on top of e-brake cable. They fabricated a replacement pipe, replaced some gaskets, clamps and a hanger or two and I was out the door end on my way for $160 parts and labor! Great job, great service and all done quite quick. When it comes to exhaust work this shop knows their stuff

To my knowledge, repairs are only first come first serve basis, but I came in on a Monday, after work and they took me in right away. I was in and out within an hour. I had a bad flex pipe, they cut it out and welded in about 2 feet of exhaust with the flex. Great price, quick and quality service I got a 1 year warranty on my part with no extra charge. Mechanic also recommended I change my catalytic converter, since it was very rusty and close to my flex pipe, he offered a reasonable price for it but I chose to wait on it. I appreciate him looking further into the entirety of my exhaust. Overall great experience, first time customer.Service: Exhaust

Just had exhaust work done; extremely fast, David was straight to the point with the problem and amazing cost for the repair. In and out in 15 minutes. Certainly will recommend Velasquez in Elgin to everyone

Being in sales, there are 2 things that will make me a customer for life. Customer service (the way you talk and treat me during our time even if there is no clue of a sale) & Integrity. Recently moved to the area, on the road trip to my new city, my Subaru started making a super loud noise (not the good kind). I checked around and got some quotes. 3 Other shops gave me the "issues" and only went for an up sell. 1 week down with searching and I was losing hope.Stumbled upon Velasquez and they diagnosed within 15-30 minutes while I was present. Turns out my Gaskets were shot, flex pipe had a bad leak due to corrosion, and the end tail pipe had a minor hole. They gave me the their price and I was shocked! I had to re-ask just in case. I went from being quoted almost $1,100-1,500 at multiple competitors to only paying a 1/5 of that cost with Velazquez. It was close to closing and they said if I wanted to do it they'd order the parts and upon arrival they couldn't finish the work in 1-2hrs.Gave them the Ok. I got the call the following afternoon so I dropped off my car. They reused my Catalytic Converter and my Performance exhaust tip while doing new piping from about the front passenger side seat to the end tail pipe (and I got a new resonator). When I picked it up I was at a loss for words on how efficient they were and the quality of their work. Honest shops are around but they're hard to find. Look no further for your exhaust needs!

I've had work done in the past with acceptable costs and quality but I recently went there for some minor repairs and their costs are ridiculously high now. I would suggest another option if possible.

In n out , five stars but really could use a team effort stay late n clean blinds n windows n paint just to bring it up to a better customer waiting experience other wise keep doing g business as u always have , good job

These guys are amazing! I rolled in with the intention of making an appointment to bring my car in at a later date. But they got me right in, identified the problem with my exhaust system, and had me out within a half hour. (And they fixed just what needed to be fixed, and didn't try to sell me an entire exhaust system). Everyone from Sandra at the desk, to the mechanics working on my car, were awesome. I wish everyone ran their business like this!

Don t trust them they lie , there is nothing wrong with the muffler they said they fix something I confronted the manager saying that nothing has been fixed. The car is still making noise. They still charge me.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

I was referred by a friend. I went on a weekday in the afternoon. I walked in with no appointment. I was there for no more than 45 minutes. Mechanic identified a faulty flex pipe. He took the time to show me. Provided a reasonable quote with a 1 year warranty. I was in and out in no time and happy with their work. I recommend them!

Don't go on the weekend unless you are dropping off your car or you will wait forever, everyone just knows this is the spot for muffler repair so it's busy AF. Other days you can be serviced right there on the spot within 2 hours. Even if you wait, it's going to be a fair price for muffler stuff. Been going here for decades now.

What can I say but WOW! Our regular mechanic said he thought we needed a whole new exhaust system that would cost about $1500. But, they said it wasn t really their forte and suggested we take it to Velasquez s. We went over after work and got there at 5:30, expecting to drop it off and pick it up the next day since they closed at 6. But they immediately put it on the rack, said it wasn t that bad, got it done in 15 min. and charged us $240. AND the vehicle is so quiet you can t even hear it! Very impressed with this shop.Service: Exhaust

I got 2 referrals to this place. A friend from work, and from my own mechanic. Now, I have enough experience to recognize what the problem was. It required a replacement flex pipe on the exhaust and nothing else. I called a number of places that tried to upsell me on parts I didn't need. This place took me seriously and gave me an inspection when I told them I couldn't see everything else after crawling under the car. But they were honest, quick, and reasonable on price. This place is definitely worth a look. Friendly staff to top it off.

These are good people that you can trust to work on your car. I stopped there thinking my muffler was leaking and stinking up my car. they discovered oil leaking all over due to an engine failure. They filled my car up with oil free of charge and showed me what was going on so I could explain to my mechanic. Good people!

Went here a few times for different exhaust repairs on my 20y old car that the dealer quoted me $1-3K each time to fix. This place fixed each instance under $50. Coming here is a no brainer. I could give them 10/5 stars if I could.The wait can be a bit long on weekends (~1h first come first serve) since they are super busy (for very good reason!) but the actual repairs themselves are done within 15-20 mins.
