Can't say enough good things about the service I received. The atmosphere in the store feels more like family than a business/customer interaction.Day one... I came in for new tires for my car. Everything went perfect. Got a great deal on a set of tires. Warranties and road side hazard coverage were explained in full.Day two ... My son's car lost the serpentine belt. I walked in and they were able to fix it that day. They also were able to replace the AC compressor that had frozen and was the cause of the belt tearing. I happened to mention that my son's car needed tires and that they are a non standard size. They happened to have them in stock and were able to install them during the same visit. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to this location for anything automotive you may need.

I never leave reviews on people's businesses. But I couldn't believe what this Firestone did. After being told I can bring my vehicle in to have transmission cooler lines replaced I did just that and was told that my vehicle will be done that day. 4 to 5 hours go by and I haven't had a call so I gave them a call and asked the status of my vehicle. They told me the vehicle is not being worked on and that the store manager should have never brought it in. I asked why didn't anyone call me? He replied I'm sorry sir the manager should have never brought this car in. I also was lied to because tech told me that the service technician said the vehicle wouldn't go in reverse and they couldn't pull it into the shop. I decided to go get my vehicle and take it to Merlin's right in front of them I started my vehicle and it reverse right away there was no issue with the reverse they just didn't want to work on the car for some strange reason. That all could have been avoided by them telling me that they couldn't do the job in the first place or even calling me right away to tell me that the mechanic doesn't want to touch the car instead they led me to believe my vehicle was being worked on and didn't even bother to call me and also lied about the situation

Scott and Louie were so helpful! They were both so funny and nice. They made this the best oil change experience. I have gone to other Firestone locations around me and this one by far has provided the best customer service.

The service that they did on our car was fine, but I m positive they tried to scam me and also my sister in law. I brought my car in for an oil change, and they called me saying Your windshield wiper fluid container must be cracked, we can t fill it up and it s pouring EVERYWHERE. We can fix it today for like $250. I said no, and I m glad I did because there is literally nothing wrong with it. I filled it myself, no leaks or anything and it works just fine. Some time later, my sister in law brought her car in for an oil change as well, and they called her and said Your tire is completely flat, how did you even get here?? We can change it for you right now. She said no, because she knew for sure she didn t drive there on a flat tire. There WAS a flat tire when she picked it up, but it was literally a screw on the SIDE of the tire. No way she could ve driven over it, it had to have been put there by someone.I just want to put this out there so no one gets caught in a scam and ends up paying money for nothing. I m definitely not returning there, and I would just advise others to be really cautious, especially if you re a female. I know they wouldn t be the first to take advantage of women, thinking that they might not know much about cars.

The advisors are total rubbish. My mom went in for a diagnostic ONLY. So, this location did a diagnostic, told her it would be 2000 dollars for the estimated work to be done. She said no because we dont 2000 dollars lying around for labor + parts which is the single reason why we asked for a diagnostic.Advisor proceeds to treat her like a pest and disregards us as human beings. Sorry man, 2000 is a mortage payment and you're upset that we turned down reccomended work? Get over yourself man.

They didn't correctly check the fluids on my car after paying for a complete car inspection. It would have been nice to know that the transmission fluid was so low that it barely registered on the dip stick and that the coolant was low. Also, after 3 hours, I had to call to see if my car was ready, only to be told it's been ready and someone should have called. Went in to get my car and had to ask for the checklist, which had no information on it as to any issues, just their suggestions for high mileage cars. Tried calling after I found out that the fluids were low, and i was never told I spoke to someone who said they have no record of my car being in there for service recently... yet I have the receipt and paperwork.

Hey guys, my car was parked in a hole connected to sewer drain. At least a foot deep and 2 ft wide. If I didn't know it was there, backing out could of caused damage. I also worried about my car getting parked there. I checked and seems ok. I wouldn't say anything if it was a dip, a small depression but it was deep.Work was done, but nobody called to tell it was finished like promised. So it was there 10am til 5pm. We could of used that time.

Visited today for an Alignment on my truck. The manager Scott took amazing care of me & in performing the alignment they found a suspension component needing replacement. They SHOWED me the part/issue & it was super clear what the issue was & I had complete confidence in their recommendation.They were able to rush the part from a local supplier & get it fixed while I waited.I will 100% return for future service & will 100% recommend them to friends or family.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Went for an alignment, they claimed to have aligned my car and that it was out of alignment. To my surprise the car ended up worse than before. Brought it to another shop same day and said the car wasn t aligned at all. The photo attached shows my steering wheel on a flat Straight road after my alignment

I went in to have a battery replaced that is under warranty. Lance at the desk at the Elgin, IL Randall Road store said he only had 2 service people working and that it would take a few days to get to it. I asked what happens if the car battery dies while out on the road and he said they are not responsible. I would avoid this place due to uncaring attitude, only 2 mechanics rushing through jobs may mean sloppy service, and not wanting to swap batteries (an easy job) means that they just hope warranty work goes away. Future work from me definitely went away to other service providers who are more professional. Many low reviews on Google and Yelp are an indicator that this location needs a major revamp in staff and management.Update: There is no need to reply to the owner response. I took the car to Firestone in Rockford. Takisha and Jennifer looked up the prior battery service and arraigned for a battery check. The battery turned out to be bad and was replaced under warranty. The Rockford Firestone was completely different than Elgin. All of the Rockford Firestone people were friendly and professional. Perhaps some of the Elgin staff should be detailed for a week to develop their skill set at Rockford? Driving 50 miles for better service was worth it.

Horrible! Got new tires and 1 went flat a few hours later because of a bad installation,had to take it to another place and that mechanic said that I was charged for work that wasn't done..dusty coffee machine,trying to oversell...just ugh! Go somewhere else.Car was also NOT aligned and now it's pulling right,Nick didn't do a great job and he was kinda rude to an elderly gentleman who needed service,but the place was busy...I guess I got the rush job,luckily my tire didn't blow on the freeway.

Open until 7:00pm and it was closed at 4:15pm when I got there. There are employees in the shop and they would not open. They never plowed the snow and you have hard time walking to the drop box. What is going on?

Had a great experience for just dropping my car off on a random weekend. I was given an appropriate time estimate and was in and out.Scott was great at communicating what issues they found and options going forward. Definitely plan on getting my car serviced more often when I'm out here!

Back in November my tire blew on a holiday weekend and I was stuck 40 minutes from home. I called a few places and explained my situation and no one could take me, they were all booked. I called Firestone and they were short staffed but were sympathetic to my situation. They took me and got both back tires replaced. The service was wonderful and they did everything they could to get me the best deal. The new owner was kind and professional. 7 months later (present day) I needed the front tires replaced and I knew exactly where I'd go! I called and got an appointment Immediately. Was very satisfied this time around too! My husband will be bringing his car in next.

Stopped for a replacement battery. Scott was there to help me on the spot. I was don in less than an hour. He also have me a First Responders discount because my husband is a police officer! Great work and friendly service!

They don t honor their appointments. It s likely that if you make an appointment, they will reschedule it. Happened to me twice. Rude manager and employees as well. Never again, with these guys.

I made an appointment for Oil change and wiper blade change. They inspected my van and it ended up needing a wheel alignment. They are very affordable and fast, I was not even there over an hour. Loved the service will always go to this location.

I had never been to this location before. Yesterday I was dropping my kids off at school and all of a sudden my engine light came on and I had issues accelerating and keeping my truck in gear. Firestone just happened to be the closest thing to me. They were able to get my truck in the same day, diagnose the issue and do the repairs. I was back on the road with my truck the same afternoon. It was quick and efficient and the price was reasonable. They didn't try to push a bunch of extra services on me and the staff was friendly and helpful. I'm glad I gave this place a try and will definitely use them next time I need work done on a vehicle.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I had a bad experience with a defective tire recall on this location couple months ago, i tried to give a second chance to this workshop since my neighbor works there and gave me his business card , i had to repair a Flat tire , i told them to place the hubcap and the spare tire under the truck like it should go , they over-inflate the tire they repaired , hubcap was not installed and they didn't put the spare tire where it should go , they offered me apologies and a 30$ oil change , i scheduled an appointment for today at 2 to give them the opportunity to make it right and the called me within 10 minutes to tell me they have no availability, the same thing they did when there was a firestone recall they tried to avoid warranty related jobs .

I just had my tires replaced at Firestone last week and I m so happy I did. It s raining today and I feel confident driving in the rain-no more slipping. I m loving the traction of these new Bridgestone tires. I have been going to this particular Firestone for years. They are courteous and capable. Half the time I find out that I need another thousand dollars worth of repairs, but I have an older vehicle, and it isn't unreasonable. As they drill it all down for you. Fenerally I can put parts of it off if needed. We started going here because another repair shop across town lied to us and we caught their lie. Never such an issue at Firestone.

Scott and Lance both provided great customer service. Scott identified an additional discount available to me on the tires I purchased. Great tires for a competitive price, and they completed the work in a timely manner, getting the car back to me well before the time I requested.

Poor customer service, clerk was obnoxious and rude and definitely needs to work on his customer service skills! Made an appointment to get my tires changed on a company vehicle and they failed to mention it would be a drop off service and that they would need to authorize with fleet, when arriving didnt give me any information about fleet service and tried to assist next customer even when i still had questions completely disregarded me and was not professional. Will not be using Elgin location again and I'll make sure to let as many people know the customer service stinks. Discount tire has better cistomer service skills.

Call and made an appointment on my only free day during the week to get my alignment done on my truck, told them the exact year make and model and motor and they said they could do, then when I get there they said it's to heavy for the their lift and I'd have to call the Firestone in St Charles to have them do it... How is it not to heavy over the phone but it I'd once I show up for my appointment!?! Why not just tell me that over the phone instead of wasting my only free day to do it!? NEVER GOING BACK TO THE SOUTH ELGIN LOCATION.

Called the number on the website. Was given a Sunday appointment 3pm have confirmation. Just to find out when arriving they are closed. It would ve been nice if you guys updated the online site or informed whoever runs your store after hours. Called today Monday just to hear oh well I don t know we are closed Sundays we don t know who you spoke with. Businesses are just getting lazier and customer service is just not it!

The entire staff here is amazing and very friendly. They go above and beyond for their customers and I have been coming here for years! They are very honest and accommodating! Set appointment for 8 am the day prior. Get in at 7am to drop off my vehicle. I m the first customer in. Told 45 minute- hour for it to be done. Told front desk person I d be back after lunch for work. I work 9-5 and they close at 5 so it works great that my nana would pick me up and I even told the female working that If it takes an extra hour from the original appointment time no issue I get that your busy not an issue I even told trying to be an understandable be a good customer. After all I m working so no worries with a 45 minute appointment at 8am. I won t be there until 12-2 anyways.Now 1st strike) my mom who walked in after I was finishing dropping off the keys, the front desk female (I m in my 20 s mind you) went oh this must be your nana. Made my mom very upset the entire day. Fine it s still a good deal for an inspection we re here and prior to that comment she was very nice who I worked with. Just go through with the inspection after all it s only $10.It s around 2pm i have a late lunch I call 3 times. 2nd strike) every time I call you hear someone pickup the phone and physically hang up. I m in sales if I would do that??? Are you kidding.Well at least it should still be done at this point and have my sweet nana take me to the shop to find out my car that the car hasn t even been looked at. Mind you again I had an 8am appointment and was the first person in the door. The guy was apologetic and you can tell felt bad but I don t have the time and energy to deal with that for a $10 inspection with work and having multiple people involved. You get what you pay for though. Don t recommend. Will never go back. Was willing to put over a thousand dollars in repairs as well.Service: Brake service & repair
