I originally came in for a repair and that s when I met Mike. Him and I went out to my car and he asked me a lot of questions pertaining to me , my driving habits, and what we use our car for. Mike pulled my vehicle into the bays. He then showed me my tread depth on this chart. He explained where my tires depth was at and asked me what do you think? I replied not very confident of my family s safety. He then asked if he could make a recommendation under the umbrella of safety? I said sure and of course he recommended if he could give me pricing on a new set of tires. We looked at tires and compared tires in the computer. It was great to see how tires are rated in those categories. I then chose the tires that best fit my needs and our budget. 10 minutes later a guy named Josh came to me to inform me that my car was in the bay and it would be done in about 15 minutes. He handed me my invoice and went over all the services that I get after the purchase like Mike did. I came in for a repair, but I left feeling that I gained a friend. What a wonderful experience and thank you for keeping me and my family safe!

Unfortunately, I had gotten a flat from an unavoidable pot hole. I called ahead. Just to make sure that I wasn't an inconvenience. Arrived about 10 minutes before they closed. I am extremely grateful for the staff. Wasn't able to salvage the tire. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. Customer service was phenomenal. I definitely recommend them moving forward.

The manager/owner Mike is wonderful. Stopped roadside to put on my spare when I was stranded with a flat. He wouldn't take payment and directed me to Discount Tire for free air since my spare was so low. It was 2 days before Christmas. Thank you, Mike for a wonderful gift.

I brought my Rav4 today with what I thought was a nail in my tire. My tire was fine and no nail. I was happy with the professionalism I received from my service advisor Josh. My husband and I will be moving our tire service to Discount Tire Elgin in the future. Happy customer.

This is the best tire shop in the area. Everywhere else didn't really "allow" walk-ins and those other places gave me quotes over $100 what I paid at discount tire. I will be coming back here for my future tire needs.

I have been a loyal customer of Discount Tire for over 20 years. I had been thinking about replacing the wheels on my car as whenever we have a 20 degree drop in temperature, I lose tire pressure. That and my old rims were pretty beat up. A week ago I stopped by to have them add air to my tires. Staff members there, descended upon my car like a Nascar pit crew. I had 1 guy checking the tread deptth and two more filling my tires.When I asked what I could do to stop the leaking when the temp drops, the senior staff member told me my options. The best would be to replace the wheels. He just gave me enough ammo to help me convince my wife to agree with the investment.I jumped on their website and a few other competitors and found the wheels I liked best. It just so happened that Discount Tire had the best selection and the best prices, hands down.I bought the set of wheels and made my appointment online. Two days later I got a call from Discount Tires telling me that the wheels came in and confirmed my appointment for today.In less than an hour, I had my new wheels on my car. The staff there is extremely friendly and professional. It was a busy day with lots of customers and they handled all of us with effectiveness, efficiency and class. I can't recommend them enough.

Fast friendly service. , tipped the guy for their service n I truely believe they should have a tip jar out , so at any given time they can get pizzas or drinks for the crew , considering maybe not all people are buying their tires from them , I do go to them, great service n pricing even considering I'm a 20plus yrs in the business technician myself I go to them ..Thanks fellas!Pics of my chargers rims n tires from there n my truck tires too

Three strikes....you're out! I'll start by saying Discount tire has done some nice things over the past few years - free tire air check (though I'm sure they regret that now) and free patch work (if they'll actually do it). Anyway, today I tried to get a slow leak fixed on a simple garden tractor and was told it was too old - corporate rule. Not sure what sort of safety risk I was facing with leaky garden tractor tire repair - just ridiculous. I didn't look for anything free and was not in a hurry (good thing). This by itself was not enough reason to write this. This repair rejection was told to me after waiting and watching associates answer phones with actual customers standing there - unacceptable. With only two people there I had to get in a "virtual line". How would they forget me with only two of us there? Getting my personal information was the real purpose it seemed. Before today's incident, several months back I had a car flat tire that I had brought in separated from the car. Without even looking closely at the tire I was told it could not be fixed. Firestone fixed it after dismounting and examining it first. Discount tire with their "virtual line" and free repairs seems driven to accomplish two things - acquiring personal information and selling tires. Little tip go to Farm and Fleet or Firestone if you need a repair for a tractor tire or tire repair. They haven't forgotten the full range of tire service and don't pester you immediately for personal information the moment you get there without actually helping you. I'm done.

Purchased a tire that was never installed on my car, tried to receive refund, waited 45 minutes and employee DANIEL REFUSED TO GIVE REFUND!!! WAS ALSO CALLED SUSPICIOUS (corporate will hear about this) Even with valid receipt present and invoice matching their own declaring that tire was never installed. Absolutely horrible experience WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN. I recommend Chihuahua Tire & Rims in Elgin for quick friendly down to earth service!

I needed tires, but didn't have the time to go in and shop. I found what I needed and wanted, in a price range that I could afford. Paid online, then went in to have them put on.Very quick. Very friendly. Very helpful.This is the third time, and third vehicle I have bought tires, here. Never disappointed.They do air refills for free (please tip them, though- it's hot/cold, thankless work), will patch tires, even if they were gotten somewhere else.Reasonable prices, and excellent service.We keep going back.

Amazing customer service and very friendly. Went in an hour before they closed for a nail in my tire. Mack and Garrett helped me. Got me in and out in a little over an hour. I ll definitely be going back.

Discount tire employees are great. I did not wait long to have my tire looked at. There was no charge for taking a screw out of the tire. They also patched the tire, too. I would recommend them for everyone. Do not try to fix a tire by yourself.

First they mentioned that it ll take about 30 minutes to change all 4 tires, but then it took about a little over an hour. Then I was driving home and it was making a weird noise, didn t think too much of it but then when I got home and looked, one of the tires wasn t on correctly. Do they not do a quick sweep to make sure everything looks good? I understand maybe I should of check myself but come on..Update: brought the tire back with my other car and they were able to fix it and refund the labor.

Free rotations and balancing with tires purchase (typical). Never ask them what tires you should get, do your research beforehand. I was given tires they do not even sell anymore (pulled off the market 9 months later) because so many people had issues with premature tread wear. (They were yokohama YK-GTX 740s). I assume he gave me whatever tires they were trying to get rid of that nobody wanted. Lesson learned. 22,000 miles later and I already need new tires (BOOOO) Also, they are (as of 08/23) remodeling the inside lobby so everything is outside for the time being.

Nothing but a great experience at the Elgin Discount Tire! I arrived before opening and they got me in right away two days in a row! My only complaint is that I wish they checked ALL the tires when I came in for the one flat repair. I had to come back the next day after noticing a screw in another tire. Overall, very friendly and quick service.

My experience at Elgin's Discount Tire was excellent. Started with first class service from Jason, walking me through my options to replace tires. He was thoughtful and thorough in his explanation of options. After the new tires were installed, my car was leaning to one side, which hadn't prior to the service. I called, spoke with Jason who was more than kind in his response. I set an appointment to come back in to have the issue looked at. Before I could even walk in the door, I was greeted by Doug, who welcomed me by name. We talked thru the issue, and within 30 min the issue was resolved. Grateful!

Discount Tire was great. The key to quick service is to make an appointment. The amount of time quoted was the time it took. I'll let you know how the workmanship works out.

Wow, I've been to several tires shops (including other Discount Tires Stores in the area) and this one is on a league of it's own - seems like a well oil machine to me!The front staff is super courteous and knowledgeable (they explained everything to me and even gave me examples of the issue). They got my tire issue fixed and I am happy with the quality and speed of the whole process. This is my new tire shop. Thank you.

Left one wheel needing a new tire at 8:30 am. Twenty til closing at 6 there aren t enough people to help the line of people waiting to check out and still no call that my tire was ready. If they needed to keep it overnight, they should have let me know when I checked in.

I was in at a dealership for other repairs, and they told me that my tire had a nail in it in an unrepairable state, that I needed to buy a new tire for $330.00. I said "pass" and decided to get a second opinion from this Discount Tire. At first they said that the identical replacement tire would be $270.00, not the 330 I was told earlier. But they also offered a less expensive tire if it needed to be replaced in the first place, so I left my car there to be diagnosed. When I returned they gave me the paper work and said "have a good day", to which I replied "what do I owe you?" They said "nothing, we repaired it and its no charge". So they gave me a free repair when they could have easily charged me $150.00 for the new tire I was willing to buy. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE with a smile! They have my continued loyalty, I will continue to purchase my tires from this store! Dave and Mack were great to work with, and my solution was unexpected. Thank you guys! I appreciate the human touch!

Let me start by saying I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer for well over 10 years. We have had 7 different cars taken care of there. A month ago they drove my GMC AT4 pickup truck into the side of their building pulling into their service bay. They caused over $1500 in damages to my truck including hitting my right rear quarter panel as well as scratching my rims which they rotated to the left rear of my truck. Their insurance company is denying getting my rim repaired leaving me with a $550 bill out of pocket. I will be getting a lawyer to fight for the rim repair and will no longer EVER be a customer at Discount Tire.

I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my tires to be changed and these awful 2 women came in demanding their tire be replaced in 30 min. There are 22 people waiting with appointments and she was so rude to the two men working. Neither of the men lost their cool and she was yelling in their faces until she left the store. Even had them cal her husband. This was the day after Christmas as well, so it was extremely busy. They even tried to accommodate her as a walk-in. The employees here have done a great job with customer service.

I recently visited the Discount Tire location in Elgin and I have to say that I was really impressed with the pricing and speed of service. However, if there were any issues that needed to be resolved, it seemed to be a bit of a cluster mess to get it taken care of. That being said, I highly recommend asking for Doug if you visit this location. He is very experienced and thorough, and really helped to make my experience a positive one. Overall, I would say that Discount Tire is a great choice for tires and services, but just be prepared for the possibility of some hiccups in the process if you do run into any issues. Thanks Doug, you are head and shoulders above in experience and customer management. You sir deserve more $$$.

Our regular service choice for tires. Repair of a slow leak was free. So was rotation and balance of all four tires. They've added replacing wiper blades, so we had that done at half the price our mechanic would charge.We value that service person measures tire tread every visit, so we know how tires are aging and when replacement might be needed. We appreciate the online link to track vehicle status, too. Staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful.
