Had a great experience with southside allstar. They took care of my Tahoe with care and excellence. They went above and beyond in every element of the repair. They worked well with the insurance company and the whole process was painless. Highly recommend!

I had a run in with a deer and needed body work on my 14 year old Tacoma. My State Farm agent recommended South Side Allstar and I'm glad I took their advice. They are a trusted provider with State Farm so the cooperation between the two made the process very smooth. South Side did an excellent job on my truck. I've had it since it was new and I have babied the drive train but the paint had faded over the years and I had let that slide. I guess they buffed the hood. When I picked it up the hood shined like it was new. The front end looks great. All the lines between the hood and fender are straight. They washed the whole truck inside and out and even cleaned the tires with Armor All. My truck hasn't looked this good in years.In addition to the deer damage, I had a couple scratches that were deep enough to get some light rust over the last 10 years. They asked me to pick up the touchup paint and said they'd get the rust off, apply primer, and touch them up for 1 hour of labor charge. I know it took more than an hour and the scratches are gone and the touch up paint blends in perfectly. On top of a first class job they did this work for free.I highly recommend South Side Allstars and will use them for any future body work I need.

This shop has been great to work with! They ve kept in good communication with me, updated me about the status of my vehicle, and worked to have my vehicle repaired as quickly as possible. Absolutely would recommend them.

I don t know why I haven t written a review sooner, but I have been coming here for years. From door ding repairs to getting rear ended and needing repairs done, this will always be where I go to get repairs done. Everyone is always so friendly & helpful. Every time I get a repair, they clean the interior and exterior of my car. It comes back to me in better condition than how I left it. They address any concerns I have quickly & get everything done well. I highly recommend coming here!Services: Full body wash, Body & Trim, Wheel washing, Auto interior vacuuming

My experience with Southside was excellent. I knew the previous owner and the new owners seem to be carrying on the same tradition of high quality work and very professional service. Amber and Michelle dotted all the eyes and crossed all the tees, made sure nothing was overlooked and all of the paperwork was accurate and in order. As a business manager myself I was very impressed with the way things went. And they completed the job right about the time I thought they should. I have only good things to say about them and all the help. I cannot say enough great things about this business and owner/employees!! My SUV was a victim of a hit and run in a parking lot in late May. They were able to get my vehicle in a month later which was much quicker than other places I called. I was also kept apprised of the progress via personal telephone calls. It came back looking like new!! Then 2 months later a careless person must have sideswiped the same door with a shopping cart. My husband took it up to be looked at and the owner came out and personally buffed out the marks. Absolutely happy with their service!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The staff here was very helpful and very professional. I received a quote on the spot that was accurate and much better than what I was receiving at the dealership. They replaced the back tail light cover for my Volvo XC 60 which required more manual work than I had the tools or expertise for. I can t rave enough about this place!! I got into my first accident in early September and Southside made the horrible experience so much better.Heather at the desk was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. The morning of the accident, I called and the first thing she said was are you ok? . Being my first accident, she walked me through the entire process, answered all of my questions, and immediately put me at ease.They were very upfront about how long my car could potentially be there and thankfully, the repairs happened quicker than any of us thought.They called to give us updates throughout the repairs process.When my husband went to pick up my keys after the car was ready, someone from the shop came out and talked with my 4 year old son about cars.My car is sparkling and the repair work was top notch. They called a few days after picking my car up to make sure everything was how it should be and we couldn t be happier with the repairs.This was my first time using Southside due to my insurance referring me there, but it won t be our last. We will continue to use this shop for any of our vehicle needs.Customer service was the best I ve experienced from a business in a very long time.Thank you Southside!!! Best Auto-bodyshop in IL. Received a quote to fix my all my rims the price came out exactly what I was quoted. They took care of my insurance claim at same time and car came out phenomenal. I went in with an appointment to see if they could pop one side if my bumper back in without needing to order parts. Not only could they, they did it right then and there in the parking lot without charge. I was amazed at that kind of customer care in this day and age! Thumbs up!

Excellent work and great customer service. After a little fender bender with my truck, I went to South Side. Norm was very helpful in explaining the needed repairs and did a great job working with my insurance company on the claim. I was kept informed during the progress of the repair and very pleased with the quality of their work. They even thoroughly cleaned the interior of my truck, returning it to me in like new condition. My experience was very good and I highly recommend South Side.

I came here to get a quote for repairs to my bumper for my insurance. It was going to be a couple of days before they can get me in and they offered to tape up my bumper so was a half hanging off my car in the mean time.I have a plastic bag shoved between the back panel and the rear window to keep it from squeaking. I put a sign asking them not to remove the bag during the detail. When I got my car back, the bag was still there! Their employees can actually read, unlike some other places I've been to.They estimated the repairs would take 4 days. They ended up getting it done in only 3 days.Everyone was super friendly. I highly recommend this body shop to everyone.

Headlight assembly replacement on my Nissan Altima ~ Excellent, most enjoyable experience at South Side's Allstar. Long time customer of the previous operation and staff. Mr. Mike & Norman continue to run a superb service center...quality, timely work and attention to customers needs were excellent, and the wash & clean of the car prior to pick up was icing on the cake! Salute, and my hat is off to you and your crew.

I was in a bad accident and my car was rear ended. It was in bad shape. The staff were so kind to me and kept me updated. The job was better than new. When I got my car back it had been detailed and even the tires were shiny. Thank you so much.

Outstanding customer service and work. I have needed body repairs only a few time over the years and have never been as happy as I was when I picked my truck up after the work was complete, to see that Southside cleaned my truck completely inside and out. They have definitely earned my business for life.

They lost a customer today, and here's why:[I've removed names on purpose to allow you to make your own judgment call about the character of their staff.]My wife's car was backed into and we took it to them to repair--no problem. The problem began when I asked them for an estimate to have the windshield replaced in our Kia Forte. $290 was the estimate, which was higher than I had anticipated, but I still gave them the green light--I wanted to surprise my wife.After replacement, I noticed my eyes were strained looking out of the windshield because of consistent imperfections throughout the glass--strike 1. I asked them to replace the replacement glass at no charge to me because I wasn't satisfied. They agreed with the understanding that manufactured glass sometimes have imperfections in them. We took the car up there and left it overnight on Tuesday to be replaced Wednesday.They called me Wednesday to try to up-sell me to more expensive glass, which was assumed to be higher quality. I said, "No, just replace the glass with another sheet and I'll hope for the best. I don't want to pay any more than the $290 I've already paid." After agreeing to that, they said they will have to order another sheet of glass, which means they'll have to keep the car another day. Slightly annoyed at strike 2, I allowed it.On Thursday, they call to inform me that my car is finished and all they'll need is $180 when I arrive--strike 3. I said, "No, I did not want to pay any more than I already have." The person who called said, "If we put the same damn piece of glass inside, it would have the same damn problem." I said, "I wanted a replacement for the replacement. I told you I did not want to pay anything extra." He/she said, "Fine. I'll eat the damn cost. Just come pick up your damn car." I said, "Okay, thank you" and hung up.After arriving to pick up the vehicle, the person who called me did not look me in the eye or acknowledge my presence. He or she rudely handed me my keys. I made sure I did not have to sign anything and then left thanking him/her.Here's the rub: the quality of the service is superb. That is the only reason I'm giving two stars. However, their staff (really only this one anonymous person in particular) could benefit from a customer service seminar or two. He/she backed me into a corner by not presenting me with my options at the outset and then became aggressive and rash when I would not accept the extra charges. Although a small amount of blame can be placed on my ignorance as the customer, his/her arrogance is what gave this company a two star rating.

The staff was very easy to talk to and generally worked well with us and our situation. This was the 2nd time we took our car there after being rear-ended. Our side view mirror was damaged and needed replaced. The first replacement mirror vibrated at speeds over 45mph. They were willing to try another, but the same issue continued. We were told that the standard practice is to replace with a used part. The 3rd time, we were told it was an OEM new mirror but we actually had more vibration/shaking than in the "used" parts previously installed. We finally gave up and asked them to re-install the one we determined to shake the least. After this final work, we get a lot of road noise and wind noise at high speeds through the mirror mount and window area of the car.Long story short is that we hoped to have a simple fix completed to put our car back in the condition it was before the accident. This was not done as we still have a shaky mirror and now road noise from that location.Employees were very responsive and easy to work with on time and appointments to fit in the work. The results were just disappointing.

Norman and his team are top notch. The main fact I like them and will use them for all my auto repairs is that they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that all repairs are complete and done with a professional touch. Thanks to the whole team for their work of excellence!!!

Our go to place for body work. Work has always been well done and finished when promised.They are in the State Farm network where State Farm accepts this shops estimate and works and pays directly, I just do the copay and no getting caught between the repair shop and insurance company

COVID-19 has put the fear into the front desk lady at Southside Auto. You cannot wait in the lobby if you don t have a mask on. They tell you to wait outside in the heat and lock the door to the lobby. They treat you like you have the plague.Melisa S. Is wonderful!I have patronized this place before and was planning on just having them do the work. Now I have to get more bids.

This place is fantastic! They got me in a whole month earlier than another place, back in March. Then recently, when there was an issue with that repair, they got me in and out with about 30 minutes to fix it.
