Louri and Tim addressed my needs . Then got on the real evaluation of what I needed asap. Very happy. Another shop tried to rip me off , I went to Mavis to confirm what I suspected. I needed approx $1200.00 less than what I was quoted 2 miles at a competitors shop. Well Mavis has a new customer fir more than just my tires

Fantastic experience, they were able to evaluate my vehicle quickly and comprehensively. Friendly staff as well, helpful in addressing any concerns or issues I had with my Toyota. Absolutely will be coming back, 5 stars 100%.

I need a last min oil changed and called the store and the manager Corey. Told me to come in he will take care of me and he did just that. The services was fast and great. Thank you guys. Great team. And definitely good work. !

The staff were helpful and flexible with my appointment time because I have a bit of an unpredictable schedule. Ultimately, they provided quick service and a reasonable price (after negotiating). I absolutely recommend doing your research before coming in here, or any other mechanic for that matter, as the original quote was far above average. However, once I pointed that out we were able to come to an understanding and move forward.I did however appreciate that they let me go back and be shown the damage to my car. I also wanted to see the removed rotors and they were willing to help me out. I do think they appropriately identified areas of maintenance.These 5 star reviews are skewed because they ask you to leave one while standing at the front desk and show it to them before paying (if you got any sort of discount or negotiated a lower price which you should). I originally complied and am satisfied with the service but just recommend doing your best to be knowledgeable on average service costs for your car.

Took my car in to get an inspection and the workers were very helpful. My car ended up getting fixed and Tim definitely did a good job with helping me. 5 stars because they are very nice , fast , and understanding. They will work with you . Thanks Tim , now I can ride smooth now.

Great place, great staff, friendly people and quick. I had an appointment at 4pm and I was able to come in earlier. Totally recommended! I came in for a tire check, they found a needle and charged me nothing for repairing the tire. COME HERE!!!!

Incredibly kind employees that are focused on helping to the best of their abilities. Transparent and honest service. I can't believe I would say this about a tire shop, but I am looking forward to buying my next set here. It's one of the only places open on a Sunday so patience is needed if you come in first thing.

24-48 hours initial time quote (after I had already left the car) to replace brakes and honestly, they still sound and feel like they were either not done right or they were dishonest about how much pad I had left on the pair they said they weren't going to replace.Honestly I was asked to give a 5 star review for a 5$ discount and truth be told I'm beginning to doubt they provided service on my brakes since there is definitely still a strong rubbing noise.

The service at Mavis Downers Grove was very good! Everyone there was super professional.! I walked in to ask about my tire constantly going low and Kyle without hesitation got me in for someone to take a look and got the problem fixed in a timely matter! Kyle is always super friendly, funny, and professional as well as the other workers!! Keep up the good work guys and Kyle keep that upbeat energy and humor it made my night!

Brought my car here yesterday and when I got back in to drive it, it felt like new again. I had been looking everywhere for two tires, as mine had recently popped. Anywhere I called either did not have them in stock or were trying to charge me just short of $500 for installation and tires. Then my grandfather recommended mavis and from this point on, I too will be recommending it to all my friends and family. I was Very pleased with their staff and their customer service. I will definitely be coming back any time I need car work done.

Do not go here. Go somewhere else. I stood in the lobby waiting to be helped while associate played on phone. When he realized he was ignoring me he asked if he could help. I told them I was here for an appointment to get my oil changed and tires rotated and if my brakes could be checked. He said that they could not do it till 10 because he didn t have anyone in. I said I had to be at work at 10 he just shrugged his shoulders. Would not recommend.

Everyone at Mavis was friendly and professional. They performed the services needed and did not push anything else. Their pricing is affordable and I will definitely go back!

Went in a little over two weeks ago for an oil change and although they were short staffed on a Sunday, they were able to accomodate me very well and went above and beyond on the service. They gave me a few recommendations for next time and even topped off my fluids and checked my tire pressure. Please have patience with the staff - there is only so much they can do.

I needed an oil change. Staff was friendly.. location was clean.. They took my car in right away. They checked everything (fluids, battery, brakes, filters, tires, etc) and said I should look into a tune up soon and recommend I change the filter and flush brake fluid soon. I declined additional services and staff gave me discount on full synthetic oil change. I used my Mavis credit card and paid $74.

Did a good job replacing the two tires I wanted repaired. Did however find extra repairs that are possible needed for the car. Which I have since gotten a second review and the repairs they were trying to get me to have done. Were not as serious as they said or as expensive. ALWAYS get a second look if you think they may be trying to scam you

Mavis Tires and Brakes was a great business and has great and honest staff. My car ended up breaking down unexpectedly and they were very honest about the state of my car. They would have been able to fix it but told me it would be very costly to fix and maintain it after. Which would be more than what the car is worth (due to its age and problems it had) and I would be better off finding another car. Although this was not fun to hear, I appreciate the honesty and trying to prevent me any further stress later down the road. They allowed me to keep my car in the shop for awhile so I could figure out what I wanted to do and did not charge me for it staying for a few days or the evaluation they had initially done on the car (which I greatly appreciated). Although it did not work out in my favor, I would 100% recommend going to them as I saw their honesty and how friendly the staff is with their customers. They really do want to try and help you and were very understanding of my situation and if something were to happen I believe they are very reasonable and fair people to have look at your car and fix it.

I bought new tires and brakes at Mavis. Yesterday, I came here to do an alignment and to finish with a tire work. Got the car in the shop, and they started work on it. After a while, the manager came out to negotiate with me about the price, asking $160 to make my car going straight. The online price was $90. I asked him if he wanted to do an online price, that is ok. Or I can go next door and do the work. So, I got my car fixed in 30 minutes with the key and the bill in my hands. When I started to drive, I noticed that the car was pulling to the left and that the steering wheel was turned to the right. Drive pretty same as before alignment, and my sterling wheel wasn't straight anymore. I went back and I told that to the manager. After some time, a mechanic guy came out to discuss with me what is a problem. He pointed flashlight light at my face, started yelling at me, "What do you want?" I was shocked. I tried to explain to him that the car drives like before alignment. He was keeping yelling, " Do you know who I am?"... The manager stood still by the side, and he listened to his employee yelling at me. After that, the police came, which I had to call for my personal safety.I checked in another tire shop to compare alignment results and found out that they did nothing.

Checked if they were open today and they were. Came in for a TPMS replacement - Scott was very patient and helpful. Explained everything, the why, cost etc.. Ended up getting an oil change too which I did not expect from a tire and brakes place. Again, thank you Scott!

While filling my tires I found a screw in one of them. Called Mavis to see if I could bring it in to repair. Staff member Lourie told me to bring it right in. On arrival he met me in the lot. I pointed out the problem. He got me right in. Upon inspection he found a second nail in another tire (that was not expected). The price was fair, the repairs were done well and the service was professional. Based on this experience, I will consider Mavis for future repair needs.

Called due to dead battery and they were willing to wait until they officially closed to sneak me in!! They were willing to push the car in all the way with a smile. Great & fast service when I needed it most!!

Today I had a low tire indicator on my SUV and searched the nearest tire shop. Mavis conveniently was open on Sunday. The staff was very curtious and aiding. Quick service with a smile!!!! Tim was awesome as the place was busy!!! Here's what he found!

My first and last time visiting this service. Once you call and ask about tires' prices, they give you more expensive ones. Once you negotiate and mention better prices elsewhere, they reduce it for you over the phone. Once you come to service in person for tire change, the prices are inflated again, and they keep lowering prices until they are close to original agreed prices. In my case, they still cheated me $4 per tire. I just didn't want to argue anymore. Changing the tires + balancing + tires recycling fee is more expensive than other places. Then, they offer you alignment even without looking at your tires if there are any issues with thread wear. In my case, they recommended alignment for brand new 2023 vehicle after tires are replaced. The original appointment was scheduled for another day. They called me asking if I could come sooner as they are not so busy. I came and it took me 2 hours to replace the tires. So would it take all day if they were busy? 1 guy was working while others were just walking around and watching. Looked like they don't know how to do the job. This service was recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, it was my first and last time here.

Scott & Crew were very helpful in indicating problem spots on my tires and replacing fatally damaged ones with one that was reasonably priced. I appreciate them being open on Sunday when I had an emergent situation
