I believe they do good work. I've never been disappointed after a job done. I will continue to go here if needed (hopefully never again). That's not a stab at the work....I just hope I don't have to deal with my car needing work again.

Nothing but lies. Ordered incorrect parts. Twice. Ten day job stretched to more than three weeks. Unwilling to take any responsibility. Manager claims not much is under his control. Allstate should drop them as a vendor.

My daughter had her bumper repaired there. It took only 2 days to get it fixed. They did a great job. Also, it had a small scratch on her hood - but, i didn't want to pay the 1,000 to get it fixed. But, when they did the bumper, they took the time to at least "white out" the 4 inch scratch with some sort of paint and I appreciated that extra effort. they know what they are doing.

Called and left message on national line (no direct was available.) No return call. Agent put in claim information for repair after estimate damages from being rear ended. Online estimate appointment for 11 today. Upon arrival told all booked and no Saturday or online appointments?!! When shown e-confirmation was told "I see, I can read. It doesn't matter." Back to the adjuster! Wasted time! Luckily car still drivable!!

My father brought his car to Gerber after being rear-ended. Damages resulted in the vehicle being a total loss. I went with my father to help take his personal belongings from the vehicle. We notice the OEM floor mats have gone missing. We ask the staff to look for the floor mats, but they could not find them. I spoke with the manager, Michelle, and she told me the floor mats were supposedly never there. In my humble opinion, if you do not want your personal items to go missing from your car, then do not bring your vehicle to this body shop.Update: Gerber responds to my review two weeks later. Google does not allow me to reply so I am adding an update to this review. No one from Gerber has made any attempt to contact me. Them claiming they sent messages and emails makes the appearance of them trying to resolve the issue after reading my review, when in fact they put zero effort.Services: Auto glass repair, Body & Trim

A great shop to take away your worries. I just dropped my damaged car and they fixed it in the most professional way. The entire staff from receptionist the branch manager were amazing and team of sound professionals. Thanks Mcanly and Gerber. I strongly recommend the Gerber for all auto repairs.

Had an accident took my car here after getting an online estimate. Brian was very thorough with explaining the damage and what needed to be done. The work was exceptional and the car looked great. The work was done quickly and the communication was fantastic. The value was great and I will return here if I have another accident or need body work done.

Personal thank you to Andrae and Michelle. I couldn t get my Challenger in to be fixed for at least 6 weeks at other places. Michelle took my Challenger and got it done within a week. EDIT: (Management has reached out to me and communicated details about the situation with me wonderfully. Chris did an awesome job taking care of my issue, and I have no hesitations to continue doing business with Gerber) The communication via email and text to get ETAs on glass repairs needs to be a little better. Personally I believe day of ETAs are not the best standard operating practice. That being said, everyone working here are great folks and I've had really good interactions with all the technicians.Service: Auto glass repair

I m updating my review to two stars instead of one as Gerber took full responsibility of the issue and covered the costs. I would give more however the issue at hand could have been much worse (resulting in a serious accident or worse!) Let this be a learning lesson to listen closely to your customers. I do know this place is under new management since my husband originally had his car in too so hopefully that is for the better.*original review of 1 star below*My husband was in a bad car accident last winter during an ice storm. Gerber assured him they d fix his car quickly as they were slow. They deemed his car was not totaled-this was their first mistake. As they worked on his car more and more problems arose. They continued to fix instead of totaling it. They took nearly a month longer than initial ETA of having car ready which meant we had to extend a rental so my husband could get to work.When he finally got his car back, he noticed the alignment was off. He brought it back to Gerber, who assured him the alignment was fine. They refused to fix it.Well, last week my husbands front tire blew on the highway. Today we had it replaced at Jeep and I was asked to please take a look at his OTHER front tire, which was replaced last year, ie basically new!!! It is about ready to blow too, DUE TO AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE. My husband was right, Gerber blew him off over it, now we re looking at over $650 for two new tires and realignment due to their negligence. Happy holidays.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

I brought my Honda CR-V in for the front passenger door to Gerber to be repaired/replaced after they had done an estimate. It took a month to get an appointment (busy times- not the issue). When i called to find out when i could pick up my car, they admitted that they had just found out my car was even there and they hadn't ordered parts yet. I picked up my car checked all of the door locks and windows, however a day or two later figured out that my back hatch wouldn't open. The manager refused to consider that the work they did was the cause and would only offer to charge me a $400 fee for a diagnostic to figure out the issue. Only after contracting my insurance and getting their specialist involved did they agree to look at it again. They looked up the issue on Honda's repair site. Their repair had disrupted the electrical system (something we found also on YouTube- but couldn't fix on our own) and the electrical just needed reset. A 20 minute fix, but hours of frustration!Service: Body & Trim

Body repair work seems to be done adequately - we'll see down the road how everything holds up. Just know that they lie to get the customer in the door but then there are various problems and the repair takes twice as long as they said it would. Also, there is no communication from them as to the delays.

I recommend working with this location. After a hit and run, Gerber Collision & Glass was recommended by my insurance company. To be transparent, I was skeptical at first, but the overall experience was great! They scheduled the repair immediately, kept me up to date regularly, and my truck looks like new. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.Thanks!Rich

I have a 2015 chrysler that I took to the shop for a driver side fender repair and small paint repair. Car looks amazing when it came out of the shop and they kept in contact with me about every detail and answered any questions I had. This was a light repair that took about 20 days but I want people to understand that things take time with ordering parts and your car isn't the only car there. Great experience with gerber so far and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.Service: Body & Trim

I can't say enough great things about this place. Unlike most other auto places, this one keeps customers informed "daily" about the progress in getting vehicles repaired. I dealt with a man named Marco and he was fabulous. Additionally, the car was done in just over a week when other car facilities said they couldn't get me in the door for nearly a month. Great place!UPDATE: I returned in need in November of 2020 and was not as pleased. Marco was gone, and I dealt with another estimator who I questioned. I was given an estimate that was over $100 higher than the next facility I went to for an estimate. Consequently, I have lowered my rating from 5-star to 2-star. Needless to say, I took my November 2020 repair tasks to the other facility.Service: Body & Trim

Darrell called with a detailed update... very nice ... very informative...The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful... and the assessor took his time with me and was careful to go over all the damage on my car... very nice people.

I worked with this Gerber location to fix come cosmetic damage on my car after a fender bender. The entire staff from front desk to technician (not sure what to call them) to management. The replacement was fast and getting the rental was easy. Fast forward about 2 months and I noticed one of the sealant strips near the license plate was coming off. I reached out to Gerber and they were able to fix it within 30 minutes upon my visit. The staff again was super friendly and the tech who helped me originally even came up to me to ensure everything was good with the repair. All around great customer service!

We ve had a bad experience with this place!! Very poor customer service! Especially with Dave and Nancy, We had are 2012 Mustang towed there on December 26, 2017. We forgot to give remote to unlock the doors but they had key for ignition. ( body shop and no slim Jim can t get into a wrecked car??) so had the key to them within 10 minutes. Dave said he would call that night Never called. Called him next afternoon was in a production meeting. Was told he would call back He didn t!! Called him he s at lunch. Finally got him my call !! Was told it was submitted to my insurance and would hear from them in 24 hours. I called my insurance trying to expedite my claim. They had nothing finally on December 29 my estimate was supposedly submitted. But as of 5:45pm on the 29th my insurance had nothing!! Was told he had to look up parts and find them blah blah blah. Like it was his first time doing this! I think 3 days you could at least come up with an estimate!! Its now January 1 2018 and I still don t know anything about my vehicle.. 1 week tomorrow since they ve had my car. It s taking this long for an estimate!! I wonder how long it would take to fix the car !! And then there s Nancy who will get rude with you No matter how nice you try to be to her!! They might be good for little touch up jobs. But I wouldn t recommend them for any major issues

So far so good, they refurbished my headlamps at a fraction of the cost for new ones. Saved me a ton of money. Thanks Dominic & the production manager & BTW Wendy is FABULOS

I was extremely impressed by the courteous and friendly attitude of Teri Dauksas at their Downers Grove location. She was extremely pleasant and helpful even over the phone when she called to inform me that my car was picked up by the towing company and brought to their facility. A comforting person with lots of patience is rare to be found and I greatly appreciate her help with all my concerns

Gerber collision is an excellent auto repair facility. I ve had two vehicles repaired this summer and both repairs were well above expectations. Having a car involved in an accident needing repairs is never ideal, but Gerber made everything easy. They work seamlessly with insurance and rental car companies so your rental can be picked up and returned all at their facility. Plus, the repairs are guaranteed for as long as you own the car. Look no further.

Had a small repair to my windshield they were able to help with after the company who did the repair wasn't able to do anything except suggest I replace the whole windshield. I appreciated the counter person. She was helpful and kind. Louis and the glass repair person did the job immediately and my problem is solved. Great and caring place. Thank you!

No sense of urgency. No immediate acknowledgement of customers. Lack personality and genuine initiative or motivation.Related skin on doors instead of replacing doors. Now there is noise while driving due to wind stress on car. Car is not even two years old. Found scratch in window as well.Cant say quality and service is good.Car was finished quickly, however. They worked well with my insurance and communication overall was acceptable.I wouldn't have gone here except for the direction of my insurance although I could've likely gone anywhere.

Contacted Gerber for a quote to replace the windshield on my 2016 Jeep Renegade. Gave them my VIN number to make sure I received the correct quote. Was quoted $288 total with a $20 discount on the phone and scheduled install for 11-30-2019. Installer showed up with wrong glass. He said the office would call me to reschedule. No one called. Installer called back on 12-2-19 asking if he could do the install that day. I mentioned that no one called me from the office and he was surprised. The office called me about 15 minutes later telling me that the price on the new windshield is now $475. I think I was being taken. The old bait and switch. I did everything correctly. Such a shame that this kind of practice exists. Please go somewhere else for your auto glass.

Gerber in Downers Grove,IL was so welcoming after i had issues with the Gerber in Naperville(Ogden Ave). Rick Koestner took great care of me and making sure the job was done right. He keep me updated with everything along the way and they had such great customer service there! At pick up Rick Evans walked me out went over everything, my car looked great. It just shows how taking care of the customer is their priority. Rick Koestner even followed up after I picked up because he couldn t be there. I call that above and beyond! Both Ricks and the team at Gerber Downers Grove,IL do an amazing job. One happy customer here!
