They did a great job repairing my car! They were wonderful to work with and I felt very confident leaving my car in their care. The car was ready before they promised it, on top of that they cleaned and vacuumed it! I am recommending them to everyone I know!

Our vehicle was done well in advance. They said 3-4 weeks & we got it back in 2. They were generous in fixing the dent on the rear bumper at no extra charge. I'm very impressed with their customer service & quality of work.

My mom was in a minor accident and we chose Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders to fix her car.They were helpful, polite, and a joy to work with from beginning to end. Mike made the entire process very easy and kept us updated the entire time.The car had a lot of damage around the front drivers side (from the door, wheel and bumper to the light) and it looks brand new. Plus, it was beautifully cleaned when we picked it up!While that would have been more than enough to be thrilled with their service, they went above and beyond by helping us fix a little scratch on the rental before we returned it. They did not have to do that, but just goes to show how fantastic these guys are.I HIGHLY recommend them.

I was involved in a collision. State Farm took a week to admit liability. They gave me a choice for where to get an estimate. I chose Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders. When Mike called, I was in the self-checkout at Jewel. He explained it would be three weeks until they could get to me. I thanked him and hung up. Five minutes later, when I was driving home, I called him back. I explained I would wait. I wanted a local shop, not a faceless corporation, to repair my vehicle. I ve lived in this town for 65 years. I shop local whenever possible. I also chose Enterprise for a rental car during the repair. On January 29 I met Mike. He looked at the damage and I explained the damage he couldn t see. Then I waited for Enterprise. Ten minutes later, Mike came outside and told me Enterprise called him and said they wouldn t rent to me. Then he told me he called Hertz, and they would be there in about 15 minutes. The following Friday, Mike called me and said my vehicle would be ready early next week. (He was waiting for parts.) When I arrived to pickup my vehicle, Mike explained exactly what they had done and that Hertz was on their way to pickup the rental. I looked my vehicle over. It was PERFECT! In addition, when I drove away, the steering was also perfect. It was like the collision never happened. This is why I shop local. Not only did Mike repair my vehicle, he went out of his way to make sure I was not frustrated by the rental car companies. Ten stars isn t enough.

I made an appointment with DG Auto Rebuilders because my front bumper was falling off due to hitting a snow drift. These gentlemen were able to reattach the bumper while I waited. Their professionalism and reasonable prices are Outstanding. There Are nice people in this world. I highly recommend Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders.

I can t say enough about the wonderful service I received from Mike and Matt. They are patient, kind and honest. I have had my fair share of dealing with car repair shops, but I ve never received this kind of service. They even cleaned my car inside & out and had my car ready earlier than expected. I am hopeful I don t have any car issues anytime soon, but if I ever should need car repairs in the future, this will be my one stop shop. Thanks again!

Went to another body shop for decades (teenagers will do that). These guys do equal or better work and are much more friendly and customer oriented than the other guys.Found my new shop!

I went to Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders because I have been in an accident and the rear bumper was affected. The gentlemen were very nice and helpful, they gave me an estimate quickly after which they set up an appointment for me. The car was done 1 day faster than estimated, and it looks perfect, like new! I had a rental car reserved and they called the rental company to pick me up and also to come and pick up the car back when mine was done, they made the whole process very smooth for me. I would definitely go back to them if needed and I recommend them if anyone is interested or in need! Thank you!

I stopped in for advice on fixing a parking lot scratch and they buffed it out on the spot, free of charge and gave me touch up paint for the future. They have a very friendly and helpful crew!

I chose Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders because of their convenient location. It turned out to be a perfect choice for far more reasons. The family run business (Mike and Matt), are very personable and straightforward with communication. They fixed the issue with the trunk of our van and cosmetic problems from an accident at no cost. This is clearly a customer service first business, which is hard to find in the mechanic and auto repair industry these days. I would trust them with all future repairs in giving you a fair rate and high quality service.Service: Body & Trim

I needed to have my bumper replaced and this was one of the places that my insurance company recommended. I was beyond pleased, from start to finish. The team was super communicative every step of the way, ordered my bumper and had it painted prior to me bringing in the car to minimize the time I would be without it and had it completed a day ahead of what was promised. They said they "washed the car" which I assumed meant ran it through a quick car wash. Nope, the car was immaculate, inside and out. Completely vacuumed and wiped down inside and spotless on the outside.While no one wants to have their car in a shop for repairs, accidents happen! I got an estimate after making an appointment and they were able to work on the small hood dent within 2 weeks even though they were very busy. They had an expert come into their shop who knows how to get rid of the dent without scratching the paint. I dropped off the car early morning and it was done by 2 pm, sooner than they had expected. These folks are TOP NOTCH! From beginning to end, they were professional & congenial. This applies to every person I dealt with. They re highly experienced & well-organized. They kept me informed every step of the way, delivered my car TWO DAYS AHEAD OF THEIR PROMISED DATE and even got stains that I d been unable to remove from my seats! Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders were fantastic! The people are friendly. They followup and are excellent with fixing my door, etc. they even cleaned the inside of my car which was Yucky!! Also, they did a nice job cleaning the outside of my car. Overall, I would recommend this company! The guys are great and care about your car and how to give great customer service. Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders is by far the best auto shop I've ever been to. I had gotten rear ended and my trunk got damaged. I brought it into Downers Grove Auto Rebuilders and they had it back up and repaired within a week of bringing it in! Looks brand new and you cannot even tell that the car was ever in an accident. I got rear-ended by a semi and had some major body damage. They were able to work on it quickly and I had the car back about two weeks later. Took a while to get in there with all the holidays in the summer but once i got it in, it wasn t long before it was returned. Even before the estimated date! My vehicle was in an accident that did not have much outward cosmetic damage but a lot of damage underneath. Even with supply chain shortages, they were able to assess the damage, give a quote to insurance and make all the needed repairs in less than 3 weeks. They even noticed transmission issues caused by the accident and got that resolved at the local Nissan dealer. I highly recommend them.Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Air conditioning

I couldn't have had an easier time with all of their help. After my estimate I ended up not even going through insurance it wasn't worth it. They had my part within a week of the estimate and had my vehicle back in a day. They were a pleasure to do business with and my vehicle looks like nothing ever happened. They did great body repair but I have a lot of swirl marks on my door that I believe is from them buffing the door.They invited me back to fix the swirls and they buffed it out and it looks shiny and new. THANKSService: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Mike was very honest and helpful throughout my experience with the shop. He explained every detail of what was going to happen and what repairs were going to be done to my vehicle. He kept me updated throughout my experience with the shop. I had asked about other repairs which were found to be unrelated to the damage done to my car from an accident. He was very willing to investigate those repairs. He diagnosed those repairs and offered to fix those repairs in the future. Mike even helped explain the rental car process and called the rental car service to pick up the rental car for me.. I felt relaxed,comfortable, and at ease throughout my experience at the repair shop because everything was explained to me with honesty and detaiI. I was referred to these guys by auto reply shops in the area. Since going to them I have never considered going to any other body shop. As soon as you walk in their office or do you notice how clean and organized it is. They are friendly while not wasting time on idle chitchat. Their focus is on efficiently doing an estimate on your vehicle, then scheduling it so it will be in the shop the shortest amount of time needed. The quality of their work is outstanding and attention to detail wonderful. It is a family business and the pride in their work shows.
