We trust our vehicles to Diehl Auto Repair.Rick and Brad make sure our vehicles are safe and fixed with the best of service.You are emailed repairs needed along with pictures before any services are preformed. Followed up with a phone call to discuss repairs and pricing. There are no hidden cost and money saving coupons(if available) are added to bill to reduce cost of repairs. Repairs are done quickly and efficiently.Very knowledgeable and highly skilled mechanics.We highly recommend them. Thanks

The team at Diehl Auto Repair is amazing. They were able to get me in for an appointment within a couple days of my request. I appreciated how they took the time to explain the repairs needed and also WHY the repair was needed. Their pricing was fair and I'm glad with my decision to trust them to complete the work. They kept me informed of the progress and even offered me a ride to come and get my car. Their hours are convenient- so will definitely be returning in the future.

I had my cars serviced here multiple times and have spent at least $3000+ at this place within my time/ history with these guys. They almost beg their customers to fill out 5 star reviews so please don t be fooled these reviews are not honest. I am almost certain they tamper with your car and they really do charge absurd prices for labor. I have also seen many people frustrated/ yelling at the guys at the front desk while I was waiting long for them to fix my vehicle, inside. I wouldn t even get my car checked up here for free anymore because I just don t trust them.

The staff at Diehl Auto has been great each time I have had service done there. I have taken multiple cars for basic service and one car for a significant engine repair (which Greg helped get covered under my extended warranty). Top notch service and they explain everything clearly.

I was very happy that I chose to take my car to Diel Auto Repair in Downers Grove this week when I needed an oil change. The service was fast, friendly, and refreshing. Though I hope not to have to return *too* soon, I anticipate a positive experience when I do!

I'm hesitant to leave an honest review because it may make Diehl so popular I have a hard time getting an appointment. Rick was super helpful from start to finish. I called ahead to make an appointment and they had the parts ready to go on the day of service. Vehicle inspection was spot on and identified everything I expected plus a burnt out bulb I was not aware of.Vehicle was serviced quickly and I was back on the road the same morning.

Brad Taylor was exceptional. Things were busy at the shop when I 'dropped in' to have a tire with a slow leak fixed. Clearly, without imposing on his own staff, Brad went above and beyond the call of duty to fit me in. It was a team effort from Diehl Auto Repair. On Wednesday morning I took my car in for a sensor fault and paid 450 dollars for the procedure. 48 hours later I had the same problem again. And when I go there they want money to check it again. Now I have the same problem and I paid 450 dollars for nothing. Definitely disappointing.

Went for a simple oil change and got a whole lot more. Really like the emailed report showing them items they checked, with pictures in many cases, and the status of the particular, like breaks and tires. These guys are the best. I had an emergency radiator situation in extreme heat and pulled into their parking lot and got me in and out in less than an hour! AND ended up less than they quoted me. From the front desk crew to the mechanic that did the work, top shelf service all the way. I will go out of my way to make them my go to car service spot.

My experience at Diehl has always been the best! I needed new brakes on the rear wheels.Polite and efficient service! Rick kept me posted about the timeline as I waited for the repair to be done. Excellent service and very helpful when I had questions.

I took my truck in for exhaust repair after the dealer wanted to charge an excessive amount for a repair. Diehl did an excellent job and the communication was stellar. Referred to the Downers Grove location of Diehl Auto Repair by a friend. She highly recommended.Brought my car in to evaluate the condition of my brakes, and of vehicle overall. As a woman, I have experienced being told that I needed repairs that were unnecessary.I was pleasantly surprised. They were very honest, provided me with a detailed report of the inspection and explained what items should be addressed at my next oil change. After a very thorough inspection, I was not charged since nothing had to be addressed at this time.Also, they are conveniently located and have a small, but nice, clean waiting area.Thanks to Rick and his team. I look forward to working with you when the need arises and highly recommend!

I was leaving for vacation on a road trip and had car trouble two days before leaving. I called Diehl Auto and spoke to Rick. Despite being busy, Rick was able to get me in the next day to troubleshoot and had my car fixed the following day. Besides saving our vacation, Rick provided excellent customer service and a step by step service plan. I received a full explanation of the issue and the resolution and never felt like the repair was more than what was needed. It s hard to find a shop you can trust and now will be a continued customer. Highly recommend Diehl to anyone with car trouble. The service here at Diehl Auto Repair was great. They informed me about the problem, cost, and time frame of repair needed. True to their word, my car was done in the time frame they said, and cost was exactly what they quoted me. No surprises here. Just good quality service all around. I Am recommending Diehl to all my family and friends. Hands down you will not find a friendlier and more knowledgeable staff anywhere. CONSUMER BEWARE OF DOING FIXES AT THIS LOCATION! I spent time with the front office and owner on working out a repair for my rear differential being replaced. They suggested a rebuild on the part in which I was notified by multiple sources including the dealer to never go that route. This location also left me under the impression my car would be fixed IN-HOUSE. Not at all! They outsourced my project to a company called Multi-State in Naperville. Drove it out there without telling me! Never let me know about the project in full detail and that they could not repair. Completely lied to me and were going to mark up my cost doing the outsource to rip me off. They told me a new differential would cost 5-6k. I was lied to at this company many times under one situation. I pulled my car from them. The Dealer is now fixing a brand new one for $3300 out the door on a new part with labor and module. Diehl Auto could not give me pricing due to the outsource as well and just strung me along. I would never suggest anyone use this business for any repairs. Great experience with Diehl Auto Repair. Fast competitive quotes (20% less than the dealer), easy scheduling, courteous professional service, accommodating and flexible (gave me a ride back home when dropping the car off), fast correct repairs, robust warranty on parts and labor (24 months), and honest evaluations without self serving unnecessary upsells. Very professional and competent car shop. Dropped my car for some engine fix but the problem showed up again the next day; they not only took the car back in right away, kept it for 4 days to make sure everything was ok this time, and charged me nothing for the part they had to put in or labor other than the one I had paid the first time; cherry on top was to be given a loaner all these days without any additional charge. Really happy with the services I got and my car is running fine too!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

A good friend recommended this place to me. I ve only had an oil change so far, but they are fairly priced, knowledgeable and super nice! This is the first time we ve brought one of our cars. Very happy with their ability to fit us in their schedule, their customer service, communication of items needing repair and items to note but not of safety concern, and so far all good with workmanship and timeliness of repairs. The guys at Diehl Auto are top notch and will give you an honest assessment of your car at a good price. I couldn't figure out what was going on with my vehicle after bringing it to a few other spots, but Rick and the team were able to diagnose the issue properly and fix it very promptly. Found this place a few months ago. This is now my go-to auto repair shop even though it is much farther (and therefore more inconvenient) than other shops that are within walking distance from my house. We re able to fit me in on the same day. The staff was very friendly. Thoroughly examined my car and made a few suggestions on some items that need attention. I asked Rick to complete an overall assessment of the vehicle health. He was very honest and forthright in what did and did not need to be done. He even recommended that one issue could be fixed at the dealer where it was purchased since it was still under warranty. Came here for what I thought was a brake job on my wife s car. They took it in, said the brakes were fine, pads had a lot of life left in them but they noticed a heat shield clamp was loose and could have been causing the noise and fixed it no charge. First time there and they were honest and didn t charge me anything for their time. A real surprise. Now I can t wait for something to actually need fixing so I can come back here and support the business. 10/10 experience!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes
