Fitting this is a garbage company because the service is absolutely garbage itself. Went the whole month of January with my trash (everyone else on my road) not being picked up. Then I come outside to put trash away and my garbage cans are just gone! They withdrew the $ from my account and will not call me back. (I was on automatic payments) literally took it out the day before. The month of January was just one time they left everyone on my road w trash for weeks for not picking it up. Never had a problem w moring disposal. I wish they never sold out to them. I would stay far far away from Republic. They also like to have ghost charges on your accounts and jack up the prices on you without telling you.

Been trying to cancel my services for 3 months now. They make it completely impossible even if you move. If you can get a dumpster anywhere else I would. Otherwise they will never let you cancel. Be prepared. Very shady company. My response to the company. If you want to make things better you can let me cancel my dumpster now please. I used it for a full year. My needs have ended. But your customer service people know this and keep telling me no I can't cancel.

We were in need of a small dumpster for our church fish fry. We were all set up with a different company and they failed to follow through, leaving us with nothing the day before the fish fry. I was able to contact Republic and I spoke with Donnie their territory executive and he went above and beyond for us! He was very efficient found us what we needed and had it delivered on time for our fish fry. Thank you Donnie and Republic Services we highly recommend and will contine to do business with you in the future!!!

Edit: there definitely is damage to my car and I will be reaching out to file with your insurance. I haven t even had my car for 4 months.Republic never fails to throw our garbage cans wherever they want, including in the middle of our driveway but today set me off because I caught them hitting my car with a trash can after throwing them around on our ring doorbell. So unprofessional and if there s damages to my car I will be reaching out.Service: House & garage cleanouts

I highly recommend contacting New Republic for your disposal needs. Donnie Dittmar was very patient (never pushy) and very professional. He was always quick to respond and answer all our questions. He certainly went above and beyond when it came to customer service.

I rated them a 1 due to the fact the whole month of August the missed our whole block for recycling our pick up is on Thursday, so I called after the 2nd time they missed it they said they wld put a work order in and to leave my can at the curb. Well day came and gone Friday came I waited all day they close at 5 so I called at 4 they old me they wld put another work order In and it will be picked up by 5 and if it's not then leave it on the curb to Monday well Friday came and gone so i called monday evening this time 330pm they told me they wld be work order in and they will get it Wednesday is that ok? I said no its not ok I can't use my recycling bin that I am paying for and It's overflowing as it is! So she said ok well I will put a work order in and have them get it Tuesday we'll Tuesday came and gone and here it is Wednesday and it's still sitting on the curb! They are sloppy irresponsible and don't have a clue what they are doing in the office. So here I go again going to call them for the billionth time just for them to put another "work order in" that never shows up in the system when I call daily.Update: just called and their phone has been busy for the last 10 mins. And they open at 7 am and here it is 8:30am

Could never get consistent information from the representatives I spoke with. Heck I couldn t get reps to get my name correct on the contract for dumpster rental. Then each rep told me different information for dumpster rental costs. One person provided no information on daily rental fees in spite of me asking for them. Didn t learn about those until I got the e-contract to sign and of course I could ask questions unless by email. Email responses were slow. Wanted to do pre-payment and discuss where the dumpster would be dropped and got absolute crickets. So called Dixon number and it doesn t work. I kept getting call failure. So I tried calling again at 7 am since google lists their business hours as 7am. Between 0700 & 0715 I did get their system to answer but only with Our office is currently closed. Please call back during regular business hours. There was no mention of regular business hours.Hmmm So a business advertises a services. Its employees can t accurately quote the service. Communication is spotty as best. If this is the best combination of human customer service and AI then it s been a waste of money all around. If I had other options for garbage disposal I d use them.BTW this after my first pickup when the Republic driver completely ignore my trash bins. I had to call to get them emptied.The hilarity continues when the customer service agent informs you to please stay on the line after the call to do a short survey. In all my calls that has never happened.1 star is being generous.Service: Dumpster rental

MY GARBAGE HAS BEEN SITTING OUT AT THE ROAD FOR A WEEK. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD NDUE TO TJE WETHER THEY WOULD NOT PICK UP MY GARBAGE FOR ANOTHER WEEK. I CALLED ON TUESDAY ( MY PICK UP DAY IS THURSDAY ) SAID THEY WERE ON SCHEDULE HA HA THE GARBAGE IS STILL OUT THERE AND IT IS FRIDAY LATE AFTERNOON.

So this is the second time I've had to call about how they didn't pick up my recycling.thwy claim to have pictures of my bins not being out at 8am when I put my bins out the night before! Always! I'm the only one in my apt complex that puts the bins out! Next time I want to see the pictures they have. Because it will show mine out on the curb!

This company is a joke had a family issue last week, so no one was home to take the garbage to the curb, accidents happen right? Wrong they didn't care, said oh well they won't come back to pick it up, so I said okay could they possibly grab it a later day in the week.Nope no help at all and I this week was being what I thought considerate with how bad the wind was and was going to bring my garbage and recycling out when I heard them coming or seen them I somehow missed them. So now we are stuck with 2 weeks of garbage and recycling,at our home. Will be checking into another place and will be going to city meetings this company is no help at all. Traci is a great contact she takes care of everything we need and ask. She went above and beyond when she came to our facilities and looked what we had and made adjustments to our contract save us some money that's very appreciated. We are an HOA and recently had our streets all redone and requested no garbage pick up on streets for six weeks. Traci was amazing to work with. We had dumpsters here exactly when she said they would be and also arranged a special yard waste pick up for us after a storm. Great customer service. As consumers, I think we often dread having to communicate with a utility company or other service provider. However, working with Traci Skibbe at the Republic Services Dixon office has been an absolute joy. Traci is very personable, prompt and professional and she has always been able to quickly resolve any service or contract concerns. Republic, you are fortunate to have Traci on your team!

Recycling is picked up every two weeks. The past two pick-ups, our trash is emptied but recycling remains. I called and was informed that the day following my call a truck would come pick up my recycling and to put it to the curb. I return home and see the recycling bin is still full. Just called a second time for the pick-up--we'll see if it gets taken care of properly.Customer service was polite to me. I was patient with them and they were polite back.

Tried to get information on service and costs. Transferred immediately. Then started asking tons of questions not related to service but to my personal information. Then challenged me on zip code. Finally gave me a price. I had to ask if there were any other charges only to find out yes they charged another $241.25 for setup! Twice as much as competition. Wasted all that time on phone to find out rip off.

Donnie Dittmar is our sales rep. He helps us manage our 7 locations that we have Republic Services with. Since day 1 Donnie has gone above and beyond to help solve any issues, and to take care of all of our needs. Republic is lucky to have such a dedicated, honest, and hard working employee. My boss owns several restaurants and bars and we use Republic at all of our locations, and have been extremely pleased with our service. They are regular, clean and work with us always on special requests. Donnie Dittmar is our rep.and we would highly recommend him. If he doesn t answer his phone, he returns a call the same day.

Based on the Republic Service website which stated there would be yard waste pickup on March 22nd I raked the yard and set several bags curbside. They were not picked up on the 22nd. I sent in a missed pick up form. A truck came by the next day stopped in front of the house and took pictures but no pick up. I called the number listed on the website and talked to 3 different people and received no help at all. I called the city and got the local number. I talked to Kevin North and he explained that there was an error on the calendar and said he would send a truck to pick up the cans and bags of yard trash. It was very frustrating to deal with the people who responded to the website number phone call. It was vey pleasing to get immediate resolution when calling the local number. Never had an issue with the garbage collectors, but worst call-in customer service ever. Your garbage is tied to your water bill, so instead of helping you with your billing issue, the customer service reps are fast to blame it on poor communication from the Water Department. Called the Water Department (who was very helpful) and sure enough paperwork was sent regarding cancellation weeks ago...so happy I do not live in Dixon anymore because you don't have an option to work with a company that cares.

3/22/19 was the second day this company has littered the entire length of our street with broken glass. Turns out that rapidly slamming on the gas and brake to grab the 6 garbage cans on our entire street is necessary as is depositing hundreds of pieces of broken bottles, and other glassware in a public roadway. This is just ridiculous behavior. Spent an hour sweeping up our road so everyone doesn t have to worry about replacing their tires next week. I ll be calling the city of Dixon Monday morning.

Just wanted to leave a review for the drivers who came by today! Even though it was a small gesture my daughter wanted to run out and say hi and not only did they wave back with big smiles but gave her a few honks which made her entire day!

There was a pile of trash left in our alley after a tenant moved out. I called Republic garbage services about it and after claiming no responsibility for it and being told to call the city hall, I did so. The lovely lady at city hall whipped them into shape and they were there to make the pickup the very next day at 6:30 AM. Accountability is a wonderful thing.

My only complaint is that they don t show a run down of charges on the invoice. When i needed to restart service they charged me for the months I didn t use them and charged me multiple late fees for those months. How in the world is that legal? After this last large payment I made the customer service rep assured me I was paid up until March this year. Sure enough, I got another bill this month lol. Looks like a sceme to me.

If I could give a zero, I would! Continual issues with not picking up what is set out. When I call, they are NOT pleasant most of the time. Their collection rules change to suit them. When I asked for the flyer, they hand-wrote in several items. Beyond frustrating that there is no other option for refuge collection and that I have to have service at all because it s tied to my water bill! Our local government has screwed over its citizens!

I realize the trash is supposed to be out at a certain time. My husband set ours out when the truck was 3 blocks away. They didn t take it! When I called to complain they had the nerve to tell me he didn t have to pick it up because it was set out late ! The guy wasn t even on our block. My husband was back in the house well before the truck got here. RIDICULOUS!!

This serves as a second notice that you, republic services are in breach of our contract. My bill has increased by over 16% in a two-month time period. I have attached here documented evidence that will prove my claim. I am requesting that this issue be resolved as soon as possible. Please do not send me one of your canned responses asking me to email you like you have on all of your other negative reviews, I have already done so to expediate your response and not waste either of our time.Service: Junk removal

I bought my house on the East side of Sterling in July of 2013 and have had a constant problem with their lazy slob of a driver that picks up my trash.Not putting thecontainers where they belong. Leaving the lids off. And now, refusing to take it at all BECAUSE he left the lid off - allowing rain to accumulate, making the container heavy.........like that was MY fault!Ive called them AND the city and the driver continues with his deadbeat, lazy behavior, so Im going to go see his supervisor and tell him the story. If that doesnt do any good Ill take them to court and see how they feel. when they have to waste THEIR time, playing "court games"!!!

So far they are charging an unauthorized additional fee. I hope they will make this right and limit charges to what salesperson and myself initially agreed upon in total for dumpster rental. Will update with final hopefully good review!
