Great people! Mechanics are very knowledgeable and their prices are hard to beat. An honest mechanic is about as difficult to find like an honest doctor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Des Plaines Auto. I send my family members here as well and they love the service and results as well.

Nick, the owner, is honest, fair and easy to work with. I've taken my car in for a tire repair, oil change and to change out my tire sensors. I appreciate his honesty, that it's been easy to get an appointment and that he stands by his work. Highly recommend!

On my way home Thursday I got a big screw in my front tire, so I called 7 different places and it was all about a 3-hour wait. When I called Des Plaines Auto Clinic and Tire they told me that they were very busy but come on in and they would fix the tire for me. Now after they squeezed me in and plugged my tire I asked how much I owe you Nick the manager told me it was on the house free of charge. Now I have never been here before, but if I ever need something on my way home again they will be the first people I call! Hope lunch was good for you and your worker...(had to buy them lunch) thank you again for having the best customer service ever!

Great place and great techs! Called about my 06 suburban for them to drop the oil pan, replace an o ring and seal it back up. He was able to get me in the next morning, and had the job done by the time I was off. Extremely satisfied with the job and the amazing customer service. Both are hard to find these days and this shop excels.

My 2014 civic suddenly stopped in the middle of the road, just right across this shop and Nick and his guy help me pushed it in their shop and was able to fixed it same day, Nick was honest and he gave an extremely good service. This will be our guy for all our cars from now on.

Nick this guy is amazing I am very inspire to his work this is my 4th time visit in his auto shop.Before had always go to toyota bredemen but they charge a lot then i find out this place and I am so glad to be here for replacement. He did all job very reasonable charges and first and important thing he is very honest guy.Thank you nick you are always inspire me to your work and honesty.No doubt highly recommend this place.

This shop over charges and lies about what parts need to be changed. My car was a simple $140 part and they wanted to charge me over $1,500. They couldn t even fix my check engine light for $1,600 and wanted to tell me it would be another $2,000 for one $140 part. Don t let them steal from you. Scammers will take all your money. Especially if you don t know much about cars.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have to say that you really get the most trusted and honest service here- the owner Nick, from the very beginning, has always been extremely honest and open with the work that needed to be done. He and his team worked endlessly to make sure I was kept in the loop during the whole process. I ve been there for water pump replacement, oil leaks, and engine light issues. All of the work he and his team did were guaranteed; if I had any issues after, they have been nothing but completely reliable and reassuring during the whole process. I have been looking for a reliable mechanic for my VW and I won t be going anywhere else.Thanks again Des Plaines Auto.

Brought in my 2021 Durango here to install an exhaust. Nick was very pleasant to deal with and knew what he was doing. He did a phenomenal job at an awesome price. Definitely bringing my car and company cars here from now on. A+++ service! Thank you Nick!!

Nick and his team are great. They replaced my brake pads, rotors, and calipers using Subaru parts for great price. I recommend you take your car to Nick the next time you need auto work done.

Don t waste your time coming here. Every time I come to get anything done such as basic things like oil change, tire pressure check the guy nick never has time for anything. He always tells me to come back Tomorrow or make an appointment. You might as well go to the shop next door family auto shop. He is the best. Had an engine swap performed on my car summer 2022. Shelled out $3,000. Had multiple issues with it the end of the summer and part of the fall. March 2023 one of the pistons collapsed (oil flowing/leaking everywhere). Another mechanic told me not even worth to fix (e.g., "would cost more to fix/repair than replace with another used unit. I'm short-staffed and wouldn't be able to commit to it now"). In the process of having it towed to my guy where I live so he can install another replacement engine. I'm out $3,000 from then, probably have to fork out the same amount to get another replacement engine. Wow.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Had brought couple cars even recommended to friends and family until one of our cars was broken into while sitting at the shop called up Nick basically said not his problem, we didn t receive compensation for stuff that was stolen. I've got a troublesome 2008 MINI Clubman that Nick has seen on multiple occasions. He's always friendly, quick to accurately diagnose and his prices are certainly better than other area shops I've been too. Top notch shop with a solid crew.

My car broke down about a block from them and the Manager actually came to me to help me drive it into the shop bc my power steering stopped working. They were great. They knew exactly what went wrong and were able to fix my car while I waited there and were honest about the issue as well as the price. Not sure what it is about the place but just got a really good feeling about them and I have not been able to find a good honest mechanic in a long time. I'll continue taking my car(s) their until it shuts down or changes owners.

The owner is amazing. Always attentive to the customer's needs. I have gotten my car fixed here multiple times, I have sold a car here, and come here for any trouble/questions/concerns. Knows what they are doing and will always be reasonable when it comes to price. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY YOUR DEALER or another Auto Body Shop near you! Des Plaines Auto Clinic has all the right answers. Thanks guys!

I went to this place to have my car inspected for someone else as a Pre Purchase Inspection. After meeting Nick, I will now be bringing my all my cars to him to work on. He was fair, knowledgeable, and friendly. The car business sure isn't easy, and it's hard to find someone trustworthy, you can't go wrong bringing your car here.

I have never had such a stress-free experience with car troubles. My brakes had gone mushy on me, so I wanted something close to home. The issue was that I work downtown. But when I called Nick to ask if he'd be willing to stay past his 6pm closing time, he said that wasn't an issue.In addition, when I brought the car in, he looked at it immediately, and then invited me back into the shop to see where the brake fluid was leaking from. He showed me the state of all of my brakes, and helped me understand exactly what needed to be done. My car was ready the next day.I would recommend this shop (and Nick himself) to anyone. He really managed to put my mind at ease.
