CARSTAR is the place to have your car repaired if it was damaged or if you were in an accident. The Owner, Sheri, is a wonderful person and she knows how to organize her team so that they do quality repairs, on time! Two thumbs up!

Great Experience - Great Work. Unlike most places, I didn't need an appointment. I just stopped in and got a thorough and detailed estimate. The estimator took his time and ensured that no detail was missed. They told me the repair was going to take 5 days and it took them 4. They were diligent in their communication and follow up. Everything about the experience made it easier for the customer. The repair was top-notch and looks like new. This place is a off the beaten path Hidden Gem. Highly Recommended.

I had a fantastic experience from the first initial call with Sheri to get an estimate to the great customer service with Allison. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and did a great job on the repair that need to be done on my car. They provided a very welcoming environment and feel you are being taken care of. I wish more companies were as great and efficient as them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done to their car.

I got rear ended a few weeks ago. The other party s insurance was responsible . In any case, my initial plan was to go somewhere close to home, but it was inconvenience for me since they all closed at 5 or 6. I was referred By a friend to go to Wally s car Star.Their response time was very fast, they had my car ready fairly quick and they were excellent in communication. They did an excellent job with my car and the process was completely hassle free.Thank you !

Wally's is absolutely the best. I got in an accident and my insurance wanted me to go to one of their recommended shops. But my Dad has just used Wally's to fix his car and it came out AMAZING so I decided to call Wally's. And I am so glad I did! They made sure from start to finish my car was fixed the right way and even when they found more work that had to be done as a result of the accident that wasn't on the original insurance claim they went right ahead and fixed it. Sherry and her team were so kind and thoughtful and kept in contact with me every step of the way! I couldn't be happier. Thank you Wally's CarStar! I will be returnng for all my auto body needs from now on!

Absolutely A+I got into a minor accident, roughed up the right side of my car. I was able to just drop in for an estimate. I gave them my insurance claim ID and they took everything from there. They gave me a very detailed quote outlining all of the pieces that needed to be fixed, as well as a timeline, and when I could drop it off. They were a bit busy, so it took a few weeks to get in, but my car was 100% driveable so no worries there. When I came to drop off my car, I told Alison I would be getting a car from Hertz and she phoned them right up to send a Lyft for me. I was original quoted about 11 business days of repairs, but got it back in just 7 business days. Even better is that they have a great relationship with Hertz (and probably many other rental companies) you can drop off your rental with them and be on your way with your own car. I think my was cleaner when I got it back than the day I bought it!

Why would you go anywhere else? I've gone to Wally's for over 10 years and always been satisfied with the service and work done. On recommendation of my insurance company, I went with another business named after baby food. What a mistake. The other guy wouldn't own their mistake. Think baby food in Arlington Hts. The car knocked, leaked, and had several issue after being repaired. Needless to say I went to Wally's and begged them to fix another guys problem.Pro's Rob and Sherry have worked their forever, you won't see new people every day. They take ownership of what ever job they take on. Expect nothing but perfection the first time around and excellent communication. They discovered missing seals, a broken shock and bent control arm after the car was supposedly fixed elsewhere. They worked with the insurance to get the car back to it's original state and I sat back, knowing it's in good hands. I love driving my car again. Thank you Rob and Sherry!!!!!!We always wish we could find an honest business, fair prices and easy to work with. You found it at Wally's Carstar. Don't be a fool like I was and try something "new" when you've got perfection already here.P.S. They gave me no grief for going elsewhere, they just stepped up and helped. I'm forever your customer as long as you exist!

Rob, Alison, and Sherri at Wally's are the best! I was recently rear-ended, and I don't know what I would have done without them helping me work through all of the issues that come with such a terrible accident. They knew exactly what to do to deal with insurance and find a rental car while they worked on mine. I would definitely recommend Wally's to anyone who needs help with fixing their vehicle.

I was in a hit and run accident and took my car here. Not only did the fix my car very quickly but they cleaned the whole car interior and exterior. Allison and Rob provided great customer service as well! I would and will recommend taking your car into this shop.

Couldn t have been more happier with the whole experience! Rob and Allison are great people, they are very transparent and set proper expectations so I could coordinate the rest of my week. I was very happy with the communication letting me know what the status of the repair was. They ended up completing the job a lot sooner than expected and I can t even tell there was ever any damage to my vehicle! If you need good honest body shop work done, look no further! After being invovled in a rear end collision my day was in the tank...The next day proved to be much better when I scheduled my estimate appt. at Wally's.The staff was friendly and efficient and decided to schedule my repairs with them.The experience was nothing short of wonderful.Expert service,impeccable repairs finished before promised!!I have recommended Wally's Carstar to all my friends and family and their experiences have been equally as pleasurable!!If your in a wreck call Wally's..and turn your luck around!

I've decided that I will no longer be driving anytime during March from now on because once again my car (only 6 months old) was hit in March! Of course I brought my car back to Wally's Carstar because there is no other place I trust and it was a low stress, friendly, and helpful experience! The team there is so incredibly enjoyable and my car looks brand new once again. 2 out of 2 times they exceeded my expectations!

Good work. However rear window broken on inside. May have missed during body work, I was not aware. Should be covered since it was part of accident.I took the car back and Brian was able to work with the insurance company and this was resolved. I am a very happy customer. Well done Brian and Wally's. You have a customer for life.

Alright let me start by saying that this is the best experience I ve ever had with an auto repair shop. Their service and attentiveness is just out of this world, the ladies in the office are so fun you almost forget that you re even waiting for anything. My car only took 2 days to repair and when I picked it up, to my surprise, they detailed cleaned almost every inch of my car including the inside! I felt like i was getting my car for the first time all over again. Also, if you go there just ask about the bundt cakes. Oh the bundt cakes. All in all I would travel out of my way through all the construction JUST to visit them again

I had body work done here after an accident. These people are EXCELLENT. The whole outfit is first rate. I was taken care of by everyone I came in contact with at Wally's, from the front desk to the back area, and always with friendliness, professionalism, and respect. I hope I never need body work again, but if I ever do, Wally's Carstar will be the place I go. Period.Well done, Wally's!!!

A tree cleaning construction truck was passing by my wife's car and scratched her whole side with a branch. Fortunately scratch was not very deep so this was a simple fix for this shop. I was taken care of promptly and professionally. As soon as I returned to take my car back, I noticed they missed a spot, my service guy came out and fixed the issue right on the spot. I will definitely be coming back should I have any body shop needs in the future. Thanks

Wally's Carstar in Des Plaines is where I would recommend that you take your car. They were able to complete the job in record time today. They are very professional, friendly and thorough. Allison at the front desk is great, too. --They are special! special! Marie O.

I got hit during Stop and Go traffic. My insurance company suggested this place for the body work and I couldn't be happier. They did a fantastic job and at a reasonable price (say for instance if I ever have to go back and the insurance doesn't pay for it. Cough) They were also really cool with my kids. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I've been going to Wally's CARSTAR for quite a few years; quality service, great people. I'm a veteran and they support veterans with a substantial discount, but even if they didn't, I'd go there. Sherry (the owner) has gone with my veterans group to many school presentations in support of us.

I had a flat tire one very cold morning and it just happened I pulled over at Wally s. Nic the Production Manager was kind enough to lend his helping hand and changed my tire (which by the way it s not their normal service) to a stranger/non-customer at NO COST! Im so grateful for their service, I highly recommend this place for I know they will go ABOVE AND BEYOND on their job. Again big thanks Nic, you're such a good samaritan.

Would not recommend this place, insurance gave a check of about $7,000 to pay for all costs of the vehicle repair. Went to go pick up the vehicle and drop off the rental. Man working at the front desk who had a horrible attitude asked for a "insurance deductible" of $250. Luckily we did not have any money on us and we had to leave with the rental and pick up our vechile the next day. Called the insurance company cause they specifically said they will pay for ALL costs, turns out this place's plan was to take extra money out of our pockets.These people are a bunch of cowards. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!

excellent service!! excellent work!!! brought my suv and car to wallys carstart the people in the office are friendly and knowledgeable!!!! the body work to my damage vehicles was fixed and look like new! they even got my suv back to me sooner than planed would highly recommend them

I have been bringing our cars here for the past 20 years. Best place... they always get it right. They are quick but the work is quality work. My daughter just had an accident and you would never know. Thanks Sheri and the rest of her staff.

I was recommended to Wally's auto body shop.Sherri and Brian are very respectful and professional and down to earth..they answered every question I had..they didn't rip me off, my car turned out beautiful!! Thank you .. as long as I'm living in Illinois this is the body shop I will always go to,and highly recommended...

Amazing staff, very helpful, very honest, very fast and most of all they do amazing work, I was very happy and impressed with the work they did on my car. If your car needs some work, this is the place to take to, no questions about it.

If you are going there to get estimate for insurance be careful. They give you higher estimate, but then make adjustments and send lower one to the insurance. Make sure you get the final estimate at the same time you are there.

Very professional staff and work at fair prices. They even coordinate with the car rental service for you if required. THE PLACE TO GO!
