I m very happy with the service here. They got everything done super quickly, didn t try to push extra payments on me, notified me of their student discount, and no mansplaining!!! Super nice staff, especially Nick!

VIOC in DeKalb has been a go to for years always had good service. Today was was great wonderful crew of 3. Helpful, pleasant and efficient. My van sounded like a new car when I left, they helped solve no heat, squeaky belt, .. had radiator flush, oil change, and a couple wipers and filters changed. Right in line with competitors. I forgot the young ladies name who worked with me, but she s a natural with good customer service.

Fast oil change cost me 3 visits to store and a $200 mechanics bill to get someone else to fix it. It s a shame, used to be a good place.

They are quick with my oil changes and friendly customer service, but the past 2 times I've gone they've gotten the inside of my car dirty. 1st time was black smudges on my seat. Then yesterday I asked if they could be cautious of it since my interior is tan and since it happened before, but still got my car back with smudges and grease. Ugh, just sucks that I told them and it didn't make a difference. I get they're working hard and it's inevitable for them to get dirty but I shouldnt have to clean my car after each time I go there.

First time here and I loved it. The entire crew was amazing and made me smile! I loved Kaytlyn and Michael. They did an excellent job and had amazing customer service. We were driving from Davenport to Schaumburg and stopped in Dekalb after my car said we needed an oil change. Apparently Priuses can go a bit longer and the individual who helped me it showed me exactly how to check when I really need an oil change. Saved me $80 that day and I learned a lot. They very easily could have taken my money and I would have been none the wiser, but they went above and beyond to teach me better about my car. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly staff, quick once your car is in. Only 2 guys working in the middle of the day on a Saturday seems like bad scheduling to me. Was an hour from the time I pulled in to when I left for an oil change. I saw at least 5 more people pull in and leave due to not wanting to wait.

I've used this place multiple times over the years, always loved the service. However, after my last visit, I will never use them again. I took my car in the end of October for an oil change. After I left and was driving home, my oil pressure light started coming on. I immediately drove it back. I was told that there were no leaks, but that the crew had never seen that before. They did a very brief look over and then sent me on my way. No follow up, no nothing.Service: Oil change

Normally I've had great service, until a couple weeks ago. I had a headlight bulb out. Did a quick stop in for help. He took out the bulb and then instead of being honest and telling me that my car has too complicated system, he lied and told me the bulb was fine but my wiring was bad and they didn't do wiring. So now I think I have a really expensive problem when it was just a lack of skill problem. He even left the bulb rolling around in the engine instead of handing it to me. I would have understood if he just said, this headlight system is too complicated - other places did. Why did he need to lie?

I am impressed by the service and love the quick and honest service! I know my car needed a little more services, my dads a mechanic abut they didn t pressure me into anything but the oil change! They explained nothing was too serious! The dealership here town was very pushy and kept warning me but Valvoline reassured me and it was an amazing service!

I really hate to say this, but I've had some years of experience with this place, and they seem decent and honest to work with, which is mostly all I want. Unfortunately, their prices have just become crazy ($100 for a full synthetic oil change, and I can easily find places to do that for $20-30.) This year I even brought my own oil and filter, and it was still $40. I gave them my feedback and walked away, maybe for the last time.Service: Oil change

Once a down to earth shop, no more...Went to this Valvoline location for years, the crew always down to earth and did their jobs quick, they also went out of their way to point out certain things that are red flags, both services they could fix and ones that dont. (i.e. noticed a bad oil valve leak). But never pushed services unless it was big enough to notice and they would actually show you the issue. Now there is new management and all the old crew are gone. When I visited I was upselled so much for services I did not need at all, when I only needed a oil change. (Fluids and wipers were good) Dekalb shoppers do your research and check if you really need the services on your car regardless of their recommendations. Because this place will try to squeeze every penny out of you. They did their job well, the quality and timing of the oil change was to be expected what you get from Valvoline. Overall the once diamond in the rough lost a little of its sparkle.Service: Oil change

This was my first experience at Jiffy Lube in Sycamore. I will be going here from now on! I was greeted by Darien with a welcome and a smile. Seville and Ryan were very polite answered my questions. Tbh, i have been a Valvoline customer for a while now, it's service is great in other cities but I'm sorry to say not in Dekalb.I couldn't believe my eyes when the guy at counter was checking all the "Ok" boxes before even checking my car.I gave them 2nd chance again few days ago and same carelessness.Won't be going back unfortunately.

Each time I've been at this shop, the employees are so kind, helpful, and don't try to over sell or push unnecessary services/products. I've recommended them to anyone that asks where to get an oil change/service for their vehicle in the Dekalb & Sycamore area. I also appreciate that the employees don't assume I don't know anything about cars, which is refreshing. They're open a little later and on Sundays, which is great for those of us that work 8-5!I highly recommend this shop!

I never write reviews but I felt my experience today warranted my time. I had an oil change when I was out of town and they forgot to reset my miles for when my next change was due. I thought I d rather play it safe so I went to the DeKalb Valvoline where I have gone in the past. I told the gentleman I needed an oil change and air in my tires. A few minutes later he came back to let me know I wasn t due for at least 2000 miles and added air in my tires! Friendly and honest!!!! Highly recommend!

I had a bad experience yesterday with my car at Valvoline in DeKalb Illinois I went for an oil change and when they completed it and attempted to drive my car off the rack they forgot to push back the rolling jack away from the car and it caught my muffler and tore off the muffler and damaged an oxygen sensor as well as the catalytic converter.First they promised to fix it at no expense to me and took the car to one of the local Muffler dealers this morning another store manager stopped by and told the muffler shop to stop the work they claim they were not going to pay because my muffler was inferior to begin with.Four of us in the waiting room heard the huge sound and the change in the volume of my car after the accident my muffler did not cause that problem but now they won't back up their offer to pay for the damages. Looks like small claims court here we come!! I Do Not Recommend them!

I went there for an oil change and I was in and out within a half an hour. The prices were decent since I had a coupon. The people working there were extremely friendly, super helpful and really courteous.

The person who communicated with customers "Jesse" was super polite and helpful. The customer service was too much. It seems ridiculous, but their professionalism stood out from any other service (car, food, groceries). And he apologized for it taking too long (30 mins at a busy time on a busy day). I don't know much about the company but the people here are great, honest and they get things done fast. They are open in what they charge you for and are very efficient.

So I pay $300 to have cabin air filter, oil change and a transmission flush. Come to find out they forgot to put my transmission dip stick back in. Now I understand that the car will be ok with out it however, the point of having a service done is that it is just that done 100%. This time was a dip stick next time could be drain plug or forget to put fluid in! This is unacceptable service, I will never take my vehicle to a Valvoline oil change again. Edit after looking at my vehicle they said they would replace my head lamp as well (I even had the bulb in the glove box) and well they didn t do that 100% either, on the back of the head lamp there is a dust cover well that wasn t put on correctly and in was in my wheel well. I would advise that no one take their vehicle here is they want it back put together!Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Friendly staff. Thats it. They used oil from bottom of drum. Actually tipped it upside down. Didnt have an extra quart so used on old quart plastic container to pour it into. Charged too much extra for oil beyond their maximum. Oil burned off very quickly. I went to change oil today and they had a mini filter on it. tiny. They had it so tight the filter would not come off. Took 2 hours. to get off a badly mangled filter. Filter was so small my oil filter wrench didnt work. Disaster...No going backService: Oil change

I got my oil changed here on April 14th. Quick service. I paid with my debit card. Went straight from the building to my car.. As I was driving home, I couldn't find my debit card. Checked my car everywhere, nothing.. Must've fallen out of my pocket after I paid at Valvoline. I noticed one of the techs vaping frequently in the shop while I was there. And wouldn't you know, I get a notification from my bank that the SAME DAY someone used my debit card at NIUs vape shop....really hope this wasn't them and they have more integrity than this....disappointed.Service: Oil change
