The lady who answered the phone was the rudest person I've ever done business here with in Dekalb. Extremely unhelpful, rude, and hung up on me after I barely was able to relay my problem to her. Take your money elsewhere and do not waste your time here. J&Cs and Accurate Towing are better alternatives.

When someone calls for a tow, they are in a bind. When I called Lovetts, the lady that answered was extremely rude! She was cutting me off and being so nasty when all I wanted to do was ask for help. If this is how they greet customers who call for help, I can't imagine how their service can be any good. I will never ever call them and I will sure recommend others don't either. I called Accurate and they were very kind and helpful and had a super nice guy out to me in less than 30 minutes.

This place is the worst. The rude disrespectful trashy lady at the counter in her PJs arguing with me about my vehicle. I was only doing what my insurance company told me to do. Which was go clean out my car just in case they deem that it a total loss after I was rear ended. She proceeded to tell me, they wouldn t deem my car total loss because no airbags deployed I said I m only doing what my insurance company has asked me to do because they were supposed to come and get the vehicle the next day and I wanted to get my stuff out of vehicle she proceeded to argue with me. I asked her how I can get in the car because I didn t have my keys because they took it when they towed it. She continued to argue with me and told me they don t touch the car they don t have the keys. I asked how I supposed to get into my vehicle because the keys went with the car. She was rude disrespectful and this company is a piece of trash and if I ever need to have something towed again, it definitely won t be by this company. This company doesn t deserve a one star they deserve a zero.

I ve never in my life dealt with a ruder receptionist . She was so utterly rude, condescending, and quick to make her issues mine because she has somewhere to be after 5. I can t believe this experience as someone who was respectful and patient with her and I was the one who s car just got towed!!!!??

They are the rudest people I have ever met, I'm not Fred Sanford not into the junk business and don't want a car that is totaled or belongs to the insurance company. Get some numbers out front and people would know the address they are looking for, and when a customer comes in show some respect all Black people don't steal

While a majority of reviewers here share similar sentiments about Lovett's Towing, we also encountered challenges with the office staff's demeanor as well as questionable charges. Unlike others, I won't delve into specifics, as existing negative feedback aligns with my experience. It is my opinion that the two women I dealt with in the office are unhappy with their lives and are subconsciously giving people a reason to respond in kind. If they could step back and see things through the eyes of their clients, they just might behave differently. Although my individual encounter may not bring new insights, it appears the owners tolerate and are fully aware of these issues, potentially harming their business, but apparently are okay with it, and so allow it to continue. Perhaps they ARE the owners. Perhaps the owners are afraid to address the issue. My recourse will be to contact the Illinois Tollway, DeKalb Police Department, and the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department and anyone who may have a contract with them and encourage them to find another towing company when the contract is up. One letter may not accomplish anything, but if others do the same, who knows? Exploring alternative towing services as I did when I removed the car from Lovett's facility, proved to be a much more positive experience. I hope my feedback prompts a reconsideration of customer relations for the benefit of all clients in greater Chicago but I won't hold my breath. Incidentally, we later called "On The Way Towing" in Chicago and they were nothing less than amazing! I wish I could have had them on my side from the start.

Unprofessional, rude, trashy, and disrespectful are all words that come to mind after dealing with these awful people. The lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude and uncaring. She was as helpful as a bag of trash. I had a few questions regarding payment since my car was rear ended and I didn t know the process of going through insurance. The lady at the front desk yelled at me and really made me feel like garbage for not knowing. She was quite possibly the most unprofessional person I ve ever dealt with in my entire life wearing pajamas at work, feet kicked up, playing on her phone, hell all she needed was a cigarette in one hand to really seal the I m a trash human being card. My advice, have your car towed by literally anyone else even if it s further away. Avoid Lovetts towing at all cost.

Horrible and Rude! My husband and I pulled over today to help a elderly man call for help to get out of the snow. The woman who answered the phone was very rude and refused to help us. She said the elderly man would have to call directly. Poor guy didn't know how to look up the number. Thankfully, a big highway patrol truck came by, and we flagged him down for help. Also, my sister-in-law was in a horrible accident this week. And they won't let her come get anything from her car. Not even her cellphone. They told her they would have to talk to her insurance company before they would allow her to get any of her things.I will be telling everyone I know about this experience. Especially the over 300 friends I have on social media. And I will be sure to tell them to spread the word about this place. Oh, and I'm a local guide on Google and often get notifications that my reviews are helpful. Don't use Lovett!

Worst tow truck company in DeKalb county. The drivers and the people who works in the front office are rude and disrespectful. When you go and ask a simple question they will simply tell you call the owner of the business. Why should I if I'm in there asking a question? They can't even tell you anything. I'm glad this place has two stars. They shouldn't even have any stars

Very rude! No customer service! Wouldn't let them pull my leg let alone my car. The manager of this establishment needs to be trained on customer service or fired! Racist company!

The condescending attitude of the front desk lady to people suffering from immensely tragic circumstances is enough to send even the most level headed individuals into a blood spitting rage. You will never do business with these people and feel they weren't scamming you. This business is a blight on the community.

I was very hesitant on the service me and my partner were going to get after reading the reviews. My partner was involved in a single accident a couple of weeks ago. Which Lovetts Towing came to put the car on a flatbed because the vehicle was totaled. Because of our work schedules conflicted us from going to salvage our belongings in the vehicle. We let the towing fees increase and which we knew we had to pay it off. We spoke to Carrie who is the office manager and she was very polite and very understanding and was able to freeze the fees from increasing until this week to come get our belongings out the vehicle. When we got to the company yesterday. We were told that the fees were going to be almost $1000 but they worked hard for just a settlement amount of $600. We were very pleased with the professionalism and even got a bit of history from the mechanic that helped us get things out of our vehicle. The whole experience yesterday was so pure and helpful. We both were satisfied with the efforts of the staff and I would like to say thank you to the Lovetts Team for such a pleasant experience during such a rough time. God Bless

Had a bus break down, the driver was prompt and was extremely friendly. He was able to get our bus back to the depot quickly and park it exactly where we requested.

They have a female employee in the office who answers all calls. She is disrespectful and they are very chaotic. I do not recommend dealing with them at all. They do not deserve any stars.

The fact that you all rudely hung up when I'm trying to explain to you where my stuck car is located is astounding. I don't know how you all are still in business.

The worst costumer service ever. The lady that attends the calls just said no to my request and hung up. Worst treatment to a customer I've ever had.

The ONLY reason they got 1 star is because 0 isn't an option. My 18 year old daughter got in a single car accident on the interstate on a Saturday evening. They did a good job with response and towing. Then the AWFUL customer service started. I called on Monday to check on the damage (I live 2 hours away) and to pay the tow bill. The woman who answered the phone was absolutely horrible. She told me I could NOT pay the bill and that the car was totaled. She then added that the tow was $200 (for 4 miles) and $25/day storage fee for 6 days and then it goes up to $50/day. My insurance adjuster went there on Wednesday and informed me the car wasn't totaled and how rude the woman was to her. I drove up Thursday with my 2 sons (28 and 24) and my daughter met us there. Only ONE person allowed in to the office at a time and they do not care if it's freezing outside. They would NOT accept my credit card and said it had to be my daughters credit card since she owns the car. What 18 year old has a credit card!!! We had to find an ATM and pull out cash. I sent my daughter in with cash in hand and she came out with a receipt and informed us that the woman told her that ONLY 2 people were allowed in the yard to get the car. I couldn't believe it and went into the office to speak with the monster. I told her that we needed to try and jumpstart it and if it didn't work we were going to push it out of the lot. She responded with "It only takes one person to jump a car". SERIOUSLY !!!! She then told me that they could tow it out of the lot but there would be a fee. I told her how ridiculous all of their "rules" were. I asked to speak to the person who makes the rules and was told she "wasn't available". At that point I walked out of the office and went to discuss a game plan for getting her car out of there as fast as we could. She was absolutely the most difficult person I've ever dealt with!! The WORST customer service I've ever encountered. During both interactions there was a serviceman sitting at a desk further inside the building listening to everything yet saying nothing. Several minutes later rude woman came out to my car and said they would try to jumpstart the car and if it didn't work they would tow it out for free. Two of us walked into the yard and met the man who towed the car out and then offered to jump it with a portable battery pack. Thank heavens it worked!!!! We couldn't drive away fast enough!!!!*By the way just before we left the gentleman tried to explain why the lady was difficult by saying they deal with a lot of Northern Illinois College students who try to scam them with paying. I told him my daughter does not attend that college and clearly me and my sons are not students and my drivers license picture was clearly me and matched the credit card I was trying to use. Seems like they may be a bit biased toward the students so beware.Service: Car towing

Excellent customer service. Lovett's T&R gave me a reasonable price for the tow compared to area competitors. Their guy Robby paid attention to detail, was timely, professional and kind.

Super bad weather. Not from the area, someone passed me and shoved me off the road and I flew into a cornfield. My phone was about to die and I was completely stuck in the snow. I called and I estimated that my car was about 20ft from the road. They got to me pretty quick and even called the police department to check on me (which is service beyond what I know in my own town). Unfortunately my depth perception was very off, and I was over 50ft from the road. The gentleman helped me with a smile on his face and made light of the situation to make me feel better. I got home safe, thank you so much!Service: Car towing

Unprofessional and rude is the least I can say about this place. My vehicle got towed for lack of displaying the parking permit permit, i know I know my fault my fault.I tried to call at 5:15AM when I woke and realized both our cars were gone. Immediately called the number and was greeted with getting yelled at and absolute disrespect and swearing. When confronting the lady upon arrival I was told needed cash. THEY DO NOT TAKE CARD. Don't ask them if you don't want yelled at. Upon picking up my car, I was explaining how the night lady was cussing and rude. And then the lady behind the counter said it was her after previously lying saying it was someone else. Got called a liar, along with other nasty words. My girlfriends car also got towed and they would not release her car to her. We had to call the dekalb county police to get involved.--Upon all this process being done, and being put into a panic attack. my car was damaged and Upon confrontation I was told call tomorrow and that it was not done by them.Service: Car towing
