It's not always easy to find a mechanic you can trust with all aspects of your vehicle, but these guys are the guys. From new brake lines on our old Civic to dozens of other repairs to every other vehicle we've owned since then. They have always done the job right the first time and in a timely manner. With pretty fair pricing to boot. I can't say enough good things about this shop.

Pro tip: Never be in a rush to write a review. Only time will tell whether work was done right. That said, I highly recomend Bill White's Car Hospital. They find and repair mechanical issues that other shops simply cannot. Last year I took my 20-y.o. sedan to them for a wheel alignment, which they performed well above established standards. Worth. Every. Penny. The new tires I had recently acquired showed little to no wear after 10,000 miles! I took the car back to the shop that installed the tires for their fist rotation.The mechanic was amazed at their pristine condition, having been driven > 70 miles/ day for almost a half-year. Use Bill White for wheel alignments. You have been advised.

Bill's a good guy but for some reason Joy on the phone can't seem to give a quote over the phone because that just goes against their policy which just means you're going to pay out the you know what because they would like to give you a 15 minute inspection so they can tell you everything that's wrong with your car so they can try to get as much money out of you as possible because their professional experience and the knowledge that you're paying for because nowhere else can do is quality of a job as they do. They also offer $25 off if you give them a five-star rating online. That's why the reviews are so high, because you spend so much, $25 is worth the fake review. Just letting you know

I had to come in for a new sway bar. They got me in on the same day (im.a college kid from out of town). I arrived at 230 and was out the door fixed at 3 50. They did an excellent job fixing my car and no problems since. The final cost was $587 which i personally think is a little high and hurt me financially considering my uncle at home said a kit is about 150 and avwrage labor is 150. But its hard to find decent people these days so I guess paying a premium for honesty and professionalism is not uncommon. Overall they are professional and do the job fast. I had no issues with them besides that I personally felt the price was a little steep. But hey they didnt force me to get the job done from them and i didnt ask other shops so thats kind of on me. Overall a good quality place that will get you in and out quickly.

My Son's car would not start during his exam week at NIU. I called your company and scheduled a pick up of the car to take it back to your shop. Rick and Joy were wonderful to deal with over the phone. A new battery installed into my son's car and another problem with the car was fixed and my son was able to get his car at the end of the next day.

I've had a lot of good service here over the last couple years and the prices always seem fair! They take the time to talk me through my car questions and are quick about getting work done. I also appreciate that they let you look over/approve their recommended services through your phone. This is a very solid shop with good attention to detail regarding the costumer experience. I feel like my car is in good hands when I drop it off here.

Highly recommended! Service is excellent, thorough explanations / reports, don't recommend unnecessary work. I have found their pricing to be very fair and much lower than what i was paying at the dealership. Friendly and respectful. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.

I took my car here for a leaking coolant issue they diagnosed they car told me it was a bad thermostat & said it would be $650 kind of high for a thermostat but whatever i get car back from them next day over next 2 days i drive less than 18 milesThen car was parked for 3-4 days i start up car heat blowing cold air i check under hood coolant completely empty its Friday night so they're closed intill MondayI go up there Tuesday tell them the car still leaking they diagnose the car again now they say its the water pump it will be additional $806 like are you serious they misdiagnosed the car then want me to give them more money I take the car somewhere else they check it out find out water pump was fine these scam artists didnt put one of the bolts back on the thermostat housing that's why it was still leaking on top of that the lady at front desk rude asl I had to stop my wife from going up there and putting hands on her after the way she spoke to her on the phone DON'T TRUST YOUR VEHICLE too this place

This is the best car care service I have every received. I have been going there for 4 years now. They have worked with my Warranty co. and got things approved. I tell them about a noise, and they find it and fix it. Reasonable priced service. We have only one car and the shuttle to and from home. I've been taking my vehicles to CAR Hospital for years now. It's a friendly place and they do great work at a fair price. More importantly though, it's a place that you can trust to be honest with you about what work needs (and doesn't need) to be done on your car. I've even had a person from a competitor's shop remark to me that they're "good people there" when he saw that I was comparing an estimate from CAR Hospital. The staff at the car hospital gave me excellent service. We had an issue come up with our car out of the blue. It was looked at in a timely manner, they texted me a link to see what issues were found and the cost. I could choose what I wanted done. I am very happy with the completed work.

I m very impressed with Bill White s Car Hospital! So impressed I m actually writing a review! They deserve the recognition. The work they did on my car was satisfactory and fixed my cars issues but the customer service they provided had a lasting impression. They were able to send pictures of the diagnostic codes, everything that would need to be fixed and how much for each fix, and I was able to approve which services or not approve from the link provided via phone. Staff was nice and friendly. They even sent a handwritten card and a scratch off post service and called to check on my car! Very happy with this business.

I was having issues with my Subaru Forester wiper fluid not spraying. Bill and his technicians were able to sort out that the front and rear wiper hoses were reversed. They fixed it in a timely manner and the cost was more than fair. I really appreciate their quality work.

Bill and his crew are very knowledgeable. The price for the oil change was good as I did not feel overcharged like I have from other places.I was also given estimates on upcoming recommended services to keep my vehicle in good working order. Had a spur of the moment emergency where my brake lines went out and these guys were able to take my car in right away and were able to offer me the services that I needed for a price that was lower than other auto shops in the area. I am very thankful for the quality of work provided on such a short notice. I especially appreciated the photos and videos of the issues that were sent to me, as well as their creativity in fixing my issue which saved me money. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone in the Dekalb/Sycamore area as they are professional in their customer service and not like other shops which have tried to blatantly rip me off before.Service: Brakes

My daughter is away at college which is near Bill White s Auto Hospital, and we live 1 1/2 hours away. She had an issue with her car so I called Bill s. We were able to get her car to the shop where it was repaired quickly and very reasonably priced. When the repairs were complete I was able to pay with a link they sent to my phone. They even offered to go pick her up from her dorm and bring her there to get the car. The whole process was very professionally handled and I will not hesitate to use them again if the need arises!Service: General repairs & maintenance

After numerous questionable car repair experiences else, I have to say that it was a pleasant surprise when I took a chance on the CAR Hospital. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, fair, and thorough. Most importantly, I was concerned my car would need to spend the weekend at their shop due to it being the end of the week (meaning I would be without my car over the weekend). They were quick to complete a diagnostic test, send me follow-up information of the findings with pictures, and offer an estimate for repairs. Best part, they completed all the work before they closed shop for the holiday weekend! I cannot state how impressed I am with the entire team and I am glad to have found a credible place for my vehicle maintenance. Thank you!Service: Steering & suspension repair

5-star rating. I always have a pleasant experience at Bill White's Car Hospital. The staff is courteous and nice, but most importantly, my vehicle is serviced promptly, and all work is done properly. I had the best service with Bill Whites Car Hospital! They were honest, fair, friendly, and relatively inexpensive. They made the hassle of having my car towed for diagnostic and repair easy and seamless. They use amazing technology and I can't imagine going anywhere else! From my first time at the Car Hospital they have always treated me great. Always giving me great advice as well as information on problems with my truck. Bill and all the people there are extremely nice to deal with. My last trip in there I wanted an oil change on my new truck and so happens they where very busy. But Joy worked her magic and got me in very quick. I highly recommend if you need a quality service station this is definitely one of the best I have ever used.Service: Oil change

In the past few months, the mechanics at the Car Hospital have performed quite well in keeping my older car in good shape. I have taken my cars there over the past 25+ years to be serviced. I have trusted them to replace only the parts that needed it. And, no, I'm neither an employee nor a relative of Bill's. The Car Hospital is, simply, a great place to go.
