We are new to the area, I just went with the ratings, then heard even by word of mouth. It was a good choice and we couldn't agree more. Cody and the gang, were outstanding They were quick with letting us know, and what the cost would be, our hot rod was ready and runs great. We will definitely return. My car broke down outside of Decatur, my family and I were stranded. I saw the reviews and had my car towed to Vanderlaan's. They were wonderful, they not only identify what the issue was, but Cody checked with the manufacturer and discovered my car was under warranty for this massive repair. In three months I've brought my car in three times (no fault of the company, just an older car). Every time I've been very pleased with the service, the turnaround time on my car, and the price. Cody was great to deal with and very good quality service in a timely manner. Had a couple trucks detailed and they did a great job. He did work on my side by side and I am more than happy with his work and in dealing with him during the work being done. Excellent auto shop. From beginning to end superb. Friendly, fast and efficient. Will post again when I get the bill. Wow- read the article!Update: got the bill. Very very reasonable. Fair. Reasonable hourly fee ($85) and cost of repair. They actually had it in for two hours plus, but only charged an hour.Update 2: owner personally texted me to ask how the car is running. It's better than ever. They have the magic touch. Have found my go to reliable and honest repair shop in Decatur. Trustworthy. A+++

Customer beware when searching for detail shop!Upon dropping the truck off I was greeted with lack of professionalism and no written quote of work being performed. I Was told it would take most of the day for a full detail on a full size truck. I expected it to be spotless with the price and time that was spent.Upon picking the truck up I felt rushed as it was their closing time. Truck initially looked great! Upon returning home I found lack of professional work. Dirty towels left in the door, the one little milk stain was still evident, wax residue was left all around emblems as well as marks on several parts of the black trim. For the nearly 200 dollar detail job I expect grade A quality. I would have been better off spending an afternoon doing and having better finished product. Be advised good money doesn't mean good results. Lack of pride in quality of work. Wouldn't let them touch another vehicle of mine or recommend them to others

If I'm around Decatur, these guys will always have my business if I have an issue with my truck. Cody does everything he can to minimize downtime for my business and does excellent work. Very knowledgeable and hard working shop!

They took my whole car apart, took carpet out, they cleaned it from head to toe. They spent 12 solid hrs on my car. BEAUTIFUL!!! WONDERFUL job!!!I had purchased a used car, I thought it was silver w/brown carpet. After they got done w/it, it turned out to be a sky blue car w/ cream colored carpet. Interior was sparking clean. Trunk had mold in it. They were able to remove EVERY bit of it. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks guys!!

Very professional and friendly! When my heater core went out in the middle of winter they were quick to pick my truck up and have it repaired by the time I was off work. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality service at a competitive price.

Vanderlaan's is great. I highly recommend them. Good people, great customer service, great work, and they'll give it to you straight what absolutely needs fixed, what can wait, and what isn't worth fixing.
