The technician that helped me out was very professional, although he had bad news for me about my vehicle (truck) the frame had severe damage that could not be repaired and was too dangerous for him to even lift the truck for safety reasons. The man felt a little bit sorry for me I would like to think and didn't charge me for inspecting the condition of the vehicle.Thank you all for doing that because it helped mentally more than you could imagine.

They have worked on our transport bus several times. The owner and staff is very nice and helpful. The prices are fair and the work is timely. I recommend them to anyone needing work done on a vehicle! Made an appointment 30 mins due to them closing for the night for the week after was told I was on it. called today the day before and was told I wasn t on the scedhule and there wasn t another opening for another 2 weeks !

I dropped off my Chrysler 300 to have the squeaky noise in the rear suspension fixed. They quoted me one price and I paid the money and they said it would ve had to do it the next day but they did not. In fact they had my car for two weeks, after I already have pay them the day I dropped it off this place I would not recommend to anyone they are scammers and then when I went to pick it up my car, three days later, drove it for two days and broke down on me had to have a tow truck come and take it to my dealershipService: Steering & suspension repair

Needed AC fixed on car, called to set up appointment. Shop said they performed ink detecting flush through system to spot any leaks & I needed new AC condenser. Charged $580 to replace. Called when it was done, I paid & drove off. AC was not working still. Called shop & told them. Owner said bring car back, maybe something else. Drove back, he opened hood, smacked 2 boxes & asked me if that made AC work. It did. He said I have bad relays, need to replace those now too. I asked when can we do that? He said needed to order them, maybe a week. He then drops my hood down, hard. So hard it actually bounced back up. He started slamming down on it, repeatedly opened & slammed it shut. It would not latch. He told me my latch was broken, but it must have been broken before. I said no it certainly was not broken before. He said since car is old he ll need to call around junk yards to find replacement. In meantime he rigged it to stay closed so I could drive home, but I cannot open it & he told me to stay off highways & not drive over 50mph. Week later relays are in. Took car couple days later. Charged for parts $64, but when l owner comes back in he says, I have good news & bad news. I didn t have correct relays for your vehicle, but was able to make these work, however your charge is down 50% meaning you have another leak. AC may only last for 2 weeks & then you ll have to bring it back in for another diagnosis. & repair.. I m totally confused, l I already paid $580 to do just that, AC still isn t fixed & Im told I have to do it all over again? I ask, Why wasn t leak diagnose first time & fixed when you did fluid trick? He tells me it must have been a small leak bc it didn t show compared to larger leak. I then suggest l the leak doesn t sound small since we just charged AC a week ago & it s already down 50%. I tell him I have a Cadillac that had small AC leak last year & it lasted all summer. He got an attitude & said, How can I answer that? They re obviously not identical leaks I reply I wasn t implying they were, but was only confused why he didn t find this leak the first time & is saying it s small when it s behaving like a large one. He threw up his hands & said he s just telling me what he found & walked out, leaving me with the Sec. who was giving me bill to pay for the $64 relays just installed. I ask her, What about my latch? She said she had it written down, that she s sorry & will write down its urgency. She also said she ll talk to owner about other leak & call me back. 5/26 - 6 days later, AC stops working. Didn t last 1 week. Called shop asking update about leak & latch. A new Sec. went to speak to owner. When she gets back on phone says, I m totally in the dark about this, but owner said he s refusing to ever work on your car because you apparently got an attitude with him last time you were here & that he was just trying to help you out I said excuse me? I explained the situation to her & that it sounds a lot more like he charged me close to $650 for a repair he didn t fix, was trying to charge me more still & now get away with not replacing my latch. She again said she can t do anything about it.Service: Air conditioning

Have had work done here before with no problems until now scheduled a appointment to have some work done even dropped it off a day early. Stopped by two days later to check on my vehicle and they had not touched it then was told it ll be done the next day and it wasn t done i got it back after a week and it is worse then when I dropped it off and had to pay them close to $500. Bucks and i have to still fix what was wrong with my vehicle when I took it to them to fix plus fix what they messed up on my vehicleServices: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I had an issue with my vehicle less than a week before a trip to Colorado. They managed to get the part I needed and squeezed me into their busy schedule. They fixed my vehicle at a reasonable price. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Even the pups! Thanks for saving my trip!

People are friendly, but I took my vehicle there and no one would tell me the price of the oil change and tire rotation, but I just assumed it would be less than my dealer. Well I get there to pick up my car and I paid almost twice as much as I was used to paying at Crown, and so I even called Crown to make sure they were using the same synthetic oil. So not only does the dealer beat the price I also get a free lift to and from work when the job is being completed. Nice folks, but I feel like I got ripped off...never have I paid over $60 for an oil change before and this time it was $109.Services: Tires, Oil change

Lindsey and staff take great care of their customers. My family and I have trusted this shop for years with our vehicles. Their prices are reasonable and their service is exceptional. UPDATING 10/16-I still fully stand by saying this shop is wonderful but after this week I want to say they are FANTATISTIC!!! This shop still knows how to make a customer feel like family & treats people the way they expect to be treated when they are at a business. After a tire shop that I was a loyal customer with did not treat me they way I thought I should be treated this week South Shores Auto who now sells & services tires got me right in & treated me more than fair!! There is no other shop I will ever need to take my car to as long as I have South Shores Auto available!!

Never going anywhere else. I've been ripped off by so many others who were either dishonest or didn't know what they were doing. South Shores came highly recommended and when I didn't believe the diagnosis from another shop I went here and they found a simple problem that was easily resolved. Since then I've been back many times and I trust that I've been treated fairly and paid a fair price every time.Don't trust those guys that always manage to find something else wrong with your car when they've got it. They're crooks. Lindsey and his team make their money by being good at diagnosing problems and fixing them the first time. They're always busy because they run an honest business.I don't just recommend them, I'm thankful for how well that support customers like me and my family.

They had my truck for 3 months tho swap out the engine. Now my poor truck sits next my garage because they didn't fix it right. They will not fix it with me paying them more money and no other shop in this area will touch it

I have used South Shores Auto twice now and both times the staff has been very helpful and friendly, the repairs needed were explained to me and the costs were reasonable and fair. I ve been slowly piecing a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ) back to factory condition using OEM parts and Lindsey and the team at South Shores auto came through with finding some parts! Not only was the communication and price very fair, but the vehicle drives better than before.Not only was this last go around exceptional, but prior to this service, I had Lindsey s team spot check service from another local business and they corrected some issues with the fixed issues. A gentlemen spent well over 20 minutes on the phone detailing what to look for in these old Jeeps overtime. With an adjustment to my drums and a new gas cap, I was good to go.Our family has been visiting this business for well over a decade and has yet to disappoint. They even recently sold a Ford Ranger to my brother and he couldn t of been happier.

Toke my car in for a harness issue. Toke them almost 4 hours but they found I had 5 breaks in the rear harness. They keep me informed as to what was going on because I waited. They worked with me around my schedule to get car in. Staff is friendly. I will take my car there again if I have issues with it again.

After making an appointment 2 weeks in advance, when I showed up dor the appointment I overheard the secretary saying she forgot to order the power steering pump. Instead of just owning up to an honest mistake the owner tried to tell me that they ordered the wrong pump that they would have to order the right one. I dont think he was aware that just before he and I spoke the mechanic working on my car had told me they forgot to order the pump. The owner went as far as to try to convince me that the pump wasnt even the problem that it was the belt!!! At this point I still had not fired them until I called back after I left to get a price on a new belt and pulley since they were going to have it apart. After half a day I called back again after being told she would call me right back amd was told AGAIN that she hasnt had time to get a price on the belt that she would have to call back and I never heard back from them. Needless to say I took my business to a place that I was treated with respect and got the pump changed for 65 less dollars than this place was going to do it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DISHONESTY!!!!!!!!! Will be leaving a review at the BBB as well.

U can count on these honest folks to do an excellent job always , thay do it right tha first time this is a full service shop with excellent knowledgeable mechanics and tha gals that answer tha phones r purdy smart cookies too , their all super polite , cheerful and down to earth good people . My truck needed a part that was kinda hard to find , but thay stayed on it an searched until it was found thay got my truck back on tha road n no time . I am so Pleased This is a clean , well taken care of shop which speaks volumes to me about tha way thay care for others property and vehicles as well Theres a nice lil waiting area thats bright and comfortable, a bathroom also . Fresh coffee is right there for ya to help yer self to I will b a customer for life
