We've used Bannings a few times now, and I'm very impressed that they have someone at the front desk or on the phone that knows cars well and is able to understand what the problem is so they can more effectively diagnose problems. Thank you!

Had engine failure, they got the parts in and completed my car within two weeks. Excellent service car runs perfectly.

First time experience at this auto repair shop. Excellent customer service and communication. Had them do an inspection for the oil leak, brakes and airbag. They provided me a pickup and drop. Todd is very helpful and trustworthy. He didn't charge money for the inspection.

Took my truck in to have an engine installed. They later informed me that my truck had some very bad rust issues on the frame which I was totally unaware of. They could have easily installed the motor without saying anything. It probably would have been a couple years before I would have noticed anything since it wasn t bad enough to affect how the truck drove. I Thank God for their honesty because there are some shops that would not have said anything just to make the money. Definitely will not hesitate going there for future work. Thank you Todd and your team

I've had so many great experiences here. They're very honest, not just out to make a buck. With so many rip off repair shops out there, I'm so happy I found this one. Todd goes above and beyond for his customers.

First time experience at this auto repair shop. Excellent customer service and communication. Had them do an overall inspection on an older model Toyota camry. Prices very reasonable and very quick service. Happy overall and will go back!

Highly recommend. My late husband's truck had been sitting for 2 years and needed new tires and exhaust. Unfortunately it was infested with wasps but that didn't stop them. Todd told me they would handle it and they did! They went above and beyond. Also Natalie was amazing, she was very patient and understanding with my many questions. Will definitely be using them again for my car.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Wheel alignment, Battery, Oil change

I was freaked about the fact that my new to me used car, 2008 Honda Accord, wouldn't go over 20 miles an hour. I was afraid it was the transmission or something very expensive. I had it towed to Bannings. they got it into working order for $130. The owner was generous with his time in explaining to me what was wrong and what they did. Very very satisfied.

UPDATE 2/17/23 : They were kind enough to acknowledge the incorrect charge and refunded $31.35 to my credit. Charged me $54.98 for labor for putting cabin air filter without the parts. Hardly a 15 min job.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Vehicle Inspection

I have a kiddo attending college at Millikin who had a flat tire and we are out of state. Checked reviews for tire repair shops in Decatur and based off of Google & Yelp reviews called Todd at Banning's (he actually replies to the reviews good and bad, which I thought was impressive) and sent my son there. The tire was taken care of as well as other items we requested they check. Positive experience and solid connection for future maintenance & assistance. Thank you Todd for taking care of us! We recommend Banning's Auto Service and we will be a repeat customer. Thank you to all the customers that posted their reviews as they assisted us to a positive outcome.

A excellent place to take your vehicle when you want professional work done. Fair pricing and quality care. Highly recommend them and support them as my Mechanic of choice. I find that a local shop gives better service than the cold national chains.

Had some work done on my son's truck a month ago and ended up having to take it back for the same issue but the man stood behind his work a lot of places you don't see that anymore so I'm going to give this guy five stars

Great service. I started using bannings after Smith tire closed. They provide friendly, honest service at a fair price. I would recommend them for any vehicle service.

Great job with taking care of ladies and not taken advantage like many other places around here. Lots of ladies at our church can't say enough good things about bannings. My mom only takes her car here. Im amazed at the customer service

Great place to work bring it in in the morning to get a inspection come get it about 30 minutes later does great work and i will always take my car to him because he just makes you feel safe to get into your car and drive my 2004 Honda civic Hybrid was running bad so i had him change the transmission fluid he said it was bad and changed it twice but only charged me once.

Took my tire in Friday to get plugged. I was clear that If they couldn t get it done today then I wanted to wait. The woman I spoke with was adamant that it would be done Same day and would call when they were done. Well never received a phone call. And guess what today is SATURDAY AND WHOSE CLOSED TODAY BANNINGS AND ALSO SUNDAY. So if something as simple as a tire plug Takes a whole entire shift to do maybe bannings is in the wrong profession
