Honest people who work hard on your car, use excellent and appropriate parts, while charging fair prices explaining everything about your care. Craig and Tom are exceptional individuals - and you can trust them to fix your car. I highly recommend The Shop.

BEYOND grateful for THE SHOP! You both are life savers! Car was towed in with the clutch pedal to the floor, manual transmission and clutch had already been replaced and it seems the master cylinder was not fixed. Craig and Tom called throughout the day to give me an estimate and order parts. Their quote and length of time was below what they originally told me! I am so appreciative they were able to get my car back to me in working condition so I could avoid racking up rental car fees. I HIGHLY recommend them for any service. They have integrity and are there for the customer. For peace of mind, they are a AAA approved automotive business and was recommended to me directly by AAA. Thank you again for everything!

Trustworthy, honest and intelligent. They give reasonable prices for our old van's repairs and tire rotations. Some words that described our experience here: sleazy, untruthful and not worth our time. Went here to buy a used car from a man named Roman. He provided us with the CarFax which showed some very minor issues. We felt confident in the buying car, but we just wanted to make sure everything checked out. We took the car to a reputable mechanic in town to give us a better idea of the car s value. The mechanic physically SHOWED us some severe body issues with the car, none of which we were aware of while talking to Roman. Repairs would have costed over $1800, and the mechanic told us that it was unsafe to drive for distances outside of this town. When we returned, my boyfriend told Roman what the MECHANIC (a third party who benefited NOTHING from helping us) said and Roman accused us of lying. WE HAD RECEIPTS AND PHOTOS TO PROVE IT. Let me say this again, we had PHOTO EVIDENCE. Roman continued to get flustered and YELL at my boyfriend. He acted as childishly as I ve ever seen a grown man act before. He is a terrible mechanic and an even worse salesperson. Please don t waste your time here. He s a walking used car salesman stereotype, be aware.

Went to buy a car from Roman who was selling used cars here. I read the grey reviews and thought the best. Unfortunately that wasn t the case. When I took the car to another mechanic to put on the rack it was shown to me that the ball joints were bad and the front strut was leaking. When I confronted Roman with this he got very defensive and called me liar, despite me even having pictures. Very shady

I have had a lot of car troubles happen in a short period of time. These guys have been so helpful and even taught me some things to look out for in the future. I came in recently for what turned out to be a quick fix and didn't get charged. I hope I don't have troubles for awhile, but I know if I do I'm coming back to the shop! Above and beyond service. I dropped my car off with several issues I was having including a check engine light, tire issues, needing an oil change, etc. The mechanics took a look at it right away and quickly diagnosed the issues and fixed them. Their communication with me was great, the staff was very friendly, the pricing was reasonable, and the help they gave me with an emission test was over the top. 100% recommend - I am a hooked customer.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Oil change

I called about a flat repair. Was told it would take 30 minutes and got it priced out. From the time I got there to the time I was driving again was 10 minutes. I don t even think it took 30 minutes from the time I called them to the time I was driving away. Anyways the price I paid wasn t even half what he quoted me. Now yes a different service was performed but still any shop that s looking to save you money is unheard of. He could ve easily said he did the other n I would have never known. This is a shop that wants nothing more than to get you back on the road and keep you coming back by being fair and reasonable. The other comments in here are true. This is a honest rare shop you won t find everyday. If you re looking through comments you ve had bad experiences before. So just give them a try and you ll be happy you did!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

After calling a few other shops, I called these guys to do a very last minute plug on a flat tire. Immediately upon arriving, I was told they could look at it and to come right on over. As soon as I got there they started looking at my tire for me. Craig managed to find and fix the issue very quickly, even teaching me a few things along the way.I m extremely grateful I found these guys and I couldn t have been more thrilled with the outcome. 11/10 stars.Service: Tires

Craig and Tom have been managing the routine maintenance and repairs for all of our family's vehicles for many years. Whenever we have an issue with our cars we have no second thought that the experienced team at The Shop will be able to solve the problem quickly, correctly, and at a fair price. We recommend The Shop to everyone we can and could not be happier with their service.

Craig & Tom were great. They were able squeeze me in the day after I called, take a look at my car and came up with a quick and reasonable solution.I had my rear brakes replaced in the fall by my dealer. When they replaced the brakes it appears they didn't do the best job. Shortly after the repair I noticed a loud screeching noise. I took it back to the dealer, they said there was no issue with the brakes and according to them it was most likely the axle or ball bearings. I decided to get a referral, a friend mentioned "The Shop" and glad they did.Craig put the car up, rotated the rear wheel and immediately found the issue. He suggested to take apart the brakes, clean, lubricate and reassemble them. Plus he was straight forward, gave me options but said that was the best and in the end most reasonable. I would highly recommend them and will be going back for any other things I need dealt with.Thanks guys!

The Shop is the Best!I live close to Crystal Lake, and for over 20yrs if a car of mine needs to be fixed or tune up, The Shops is the only place to go. Like the 2 guys who owen the place, Their the Best!TrevorService: Auto A/C replacement

Great place to take your car! Years ago my wife brought one of our cars in for an oil change as she works nearby. We were quite surprised when she picked it up and Tom said "No charge". He went on to explain that first time customers first oil change is free. Since then we take all of our family cars here for service. They always treat us fairly and charge reasonably. Most importantly, I never wonder if I really need the work they recommend.

Tom was able to investigate a problem I was having with my brakes ON THE SPOT. I arrived late on a Friday and since the shop was really quiet, he was able to put the car on a lift and work on the problem and take it for a test drive all within one hour. I will be taking all of my car repair to this great shop.Service: TiresService: Tires

Excellent service, knowledgeable mechanics car was ready on time. The replaced parts were shown to us and there condition was deffenly in need of replacement. All in all a very good repair.

So glad I've found a shop that actually WANTS to repair a vehicle in the most cost effective manner. I have had bad experiences with "chain" service centers that don't know how to diagnose a problem and just keep installing parts until by chance the problem is fixed. These guys are old school mechanics that take pride in repairing a vehicle and not just guessing at what it needs.

I love the mechanics here. They are honest and fair which is a rare combination these days. I feel confident recommending tbe guys because I wouldn't take my car anywhere else given the choice!

We thought we needed a valve stem replaced but it turns out it simply had to be tightened. They didn't even charge us for it! Great service! Highly recommended!
