I took my car to Independent about 4 months ago for a right front tire suspension issue. The suspension light was coming on and the front right would drop during drives. They said they changed the suspension airbag but after picking up the car, the suspension light came back on. I took the car back to them and they said there was an electric issue costing me additional money. Guess what.. the light came back on. I took it back to them keeping my fingers crossed that the third time was a charm but this time I left it there for 10 days while I was out of town. When I came back, the right real quarter had a golf ball dent and they couldn't figure out the problem. Maybe you want them to do easy tune ups or small repairs but anything over small stuff is not for them.I took the car to another shop and they repaired it the first time and they told me there was one thing that needed to go to the dealership due to proprietary issues. I took the car to the dealer, had it fix and we've been good every since.I'm out $1500 with Independent.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

One of the very best auto service facilities you will ever be lucky enough to find. Especially if you drive a Volvo or Saab. Honest, candid, with excellent advice. They recommend the work you need, not the work they could do if price was no object. They service my 1993 Volvo 940 wagon with nearly 200,000 miles on it. I suspect it will see 300,000 miles someday thanks to their care.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Air conditioning

My 84 year old Mother brings her Volvo here - in fact, she bought it here, too - they do excellent work here and the owner is sooo kind to her and he's HONEST! What more could anyone ask for! It's just a great shop. You can feel secure and confident, here!!

Update: they've offered to send an A/C compressor and new belt to me. If all goes well, I will up the star rating. I appreciate their willingness to make this right.Sadly, I have to post a 1 star review. I cannot comment on their service, but they also sell used Saabs from time to time. I contacted them about a car and asked all kinds of questions. "No Issues," they said. I told them I was coming from 3.5 hours away. "Nope, great car. We check them all over," they said. I trusted them because they are a Saab repair facility. When I showed up, they were work trying to get the headlights to work. That should have been my warning to walk away, but I had driven 3.5 hours. On the drive home, the ABS light came on, the rear speaker had loud static for a while and then all the speakers went out, there is no e-brake, and worst of all, at a toll station, smoke was coming from the hood. The A/C compressor had seized and the serpentine belt was burning/melting. I called and they just said, "Oh, we didn't know about that." No real effort to make it right. Very disappointed. Anyway, if you are thinking of purchasing a Saab here, be very wary that everything has been thoroughly checked out.

Reached out about a vehicle they were selling on facebook. The person responded back saying this shop was selling it and they had the car at their house because they have been driving it and how fun it is to drive. Personally I dont want to hear from a salesman that hes joyriding the "super fun" car I want to look. Add in I own a Saab and once I was told the shop it clicked, this shop doesnt have a great reputation with the vehicles they claim to work on.Be cautious and careful when dealing with them or just find a better shop.

Great shop and friendly staff. Agree with Dan Van Opstall. We had almost same exact experience, word for word, he did with buying a used Saab from Tom Low 1.5 years ago. Very disappointing.
