Very nice people great customer service. Worked with my schedule. Their drop and pick up service came in handy due to my medical situation. Mike was always very nice and helpful. He explained what was wrong with my car and pointed out safety concerns. They do good work. They are professional, experienced, and knowledgeable. Wishing them the best & many more years!!! Chris, Tye and the team were a very personable, caring, and excellent team. They not only fixed every issue we were having with our vehicle, they did it with personal, supportive and understanding care. As a therapist and business owner in the community, I appreciated their interpersonal skills, the excellent way they do business and the high quality Performance they provided me. Brought my Sonic for regular oil change but also had heard a strange noise underneath but could not determine. The Douglas team checked it out and found it to be front and rear brakes which needed to be replaced right away. Excellent team work as I have always experienced. Friendly, helpful, good listeners and very professional! Completely satisfied!

The crew at Douglas Automotive has been taking care of my family's cars for over 20 years. They have always gone above and beyond. They don't just do the work and give me the bill. They explain what the issue is, why and how it happened and the options to fix it. I appreciate their candor. They tell it like it is. I'm so glad I found them 20+ years ago. Douglas has been and continue to be, my mechanics of choice.

Douglas Auto is what being part of a small town community is all about. They greet me by name when I walk in the door, explain everything they are going to do and give me a ride home when my car is in the shop for half the day. I am not mechanically literate so I appreciate that I can trust Douglas Auto to keep my car running at top performance. These guys are the best!

Love going to Douglas! My family and I have been coming to the Crystal Lake location for over 10 years. I've been to Douglas Automotive Repair in Crystal Lake several times for both of my cars. They do a great job, they stand behind their work, they are reasonably priced and the customer service guys are easy and friendly to work with---especially Chris Bach! I recommend them highly.

Chris does a great job of explaining the repairs needed along with a realistic time line to complete. He also has a good relationship with the warranty company my car is covered with. He works well with them to get the repairs covered. Also thanks to Ty for driving me home and back while the car was being fixed.

I am glad to have found Douglas Automotive in Crystal Lake! This is now my "home" mechanic for both of our cars. The service- both mechanical on the autos, and customer-facing- has been excellent all the way around. After inspection, they send out a text message linking to a report, including photographs of problem areas, and recommendations. The approval process allows me to easily communicate which repairs or maintenance items to move forward with, and which to delay. This makes the whole thing very transparent to me, so I can better understand what is going on, and make informed decisions.Very happy with Douglas Automotive!

I have been taking my cars to Douglas Automotive for about 20 years. They always provide great service at fair prices. I also appreciate that they tell me what needs to be done now and what will probably need to be done sometime down the road. They keep my cars running great.

A great first experience with Douglas Auto in Crystal Lake. This location was recommended to us, and we brought our aging car in to be evaluated. Of the few places we've tried in the area, Douglas was the only one that took the time to bring me back into the shop and show exactly what needed to be fixed. We were struggling with emissions testing. We spoke with Chris on the phone who was amazing and walked us through what we needed to do. It worked! We then stopped by to get paperwork just before closing. Mike was awesome and helped us out. End result- we passed! We will return for sure!

I recently had extensive repairs with Douglas found when I came in for a service. What most impressed me was that Chris, my service rep, didn't just tell me what needed to be repaired, he took me into the shop and showed me. As someone who is not mechanically inclined, and is a visual learner, it was invaluable to be able to view what needed repaired or replaced.

I was introduced to the Douglas team in Crystal Lake by my father who knew about cars and took care of our family cars until technology took over. They earned his trust and now they have earned mine. I will only go here for my services they do an amazing job they are so good with my car and know exactly what my car needs and doesn t need. the mechanics are well trained and are very good at what they do i am very impressed with one in particular named sloan he is very good at his job and knows exactly what to do for my car and how to get it done fast. I checked them out because my credit card company accepted them and I was very glad I choose them. It was a case of emergency, but they took care of me with complete guidance explaining me through the work needed done. I was able to make it without missing a day of delivery in my car. Would highly recommend them for everyone.

I highly recommend Douglas Automotive and Chris helped me enormously by suggesting a stepwise approach to diagnosing the check engine light.THANK YOU to the entire team. The shuttle service was the cherry on top!!! Super grateful and I will be back for preventative maintenance and any other problems my SUV develops.

I have had my cars serviced at Douglas for 10 years and it is the only place I will go. They do a great job of keeping my cars in good running order and I never feel the repairs are unnecessary or overpriced. Their customer service is also the best. Last week I witnessed Mike get a comfortable chair from the office for an elderly customer! They are all good people who truly care about their customers.

I came here after just moving into the area and I needed to find a new auto repair shop. Their reviews were good so I decided to give them a shot. After my first visit I decided to make this my auto shop of choice because of their professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to explain anything I didn't understand. The prices are reasonable and the employees are friendly. I mostly worked with Mike and he was very helpful in answering all of my questions. They'll have my business as long as I'm living in this area.

About a month ago, I was having major issues with my car engine. I brought it in to Douglas Automotive (it was my first time there) and the staff was extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about what the issues were. When they finished checking out my car, I asked about what I should do next to and the staff, specifically Mike, clearly laid out my options. I felt heard and understood and will definitely be going back if any other issues come up!
