This is our second time staying here with family and we ve had an enjoyable time disconnecting from the world and enjoying the water. Love that the deck had a gas fire pit and a coal grill with lots of seating. Kitchen had a Keurig so be sure to bring pods or a coffee device. Kitchen was missing a few items - cutting board, lighter, wine opener, and extra baking pan. Bathroom had towels which was nice for a cabin! Walkable distance general store had extra items if needed for purchase and the BEST pizza for order and bloody Mary s!!!!Nearby activities: Right off lake of Egypt! Able to pontoon, boat, kayak, paddle board, and more!

We had a great week at Egyptian Hills over the 4th of July week! Karla was great getting us booked and checking us in. Love that the checkout and cleanup tasks were minimal.Resort is great, the kids LOVED the water obstacle course and the seating area in the swim platform has plenty of seating. Can t wait to come back for another visit!!

We took a rare Saturday off to treat ourselves to a day on the water with a pontoon rental. We could not be more pleased with the overall experience. The online scheduling was simple, Micah at the Resort gave us easy-to-follow operating instructions and a layout of the lake, and the boat itself was in great condition. The young men at the fuel dock got us taken care of in short order. This was simply a very pleasurable experience on a perfect summer day.

We were there to listen to the Fry Project at the marina. It was a lovely evening outside. Everyone was really friendly and having a good time. They had an indoor seating area with a bar and food. The restrooms were clean. I really had a good time enjoying the music. It is a dog friendly spot as well.

I was just married at the resort this weekend and everything was perfect. The venue is stunning and the staff did an amazing job at accommodating to our needs. Several guests complimented the venue and how gorgeous the view was. The food was delicious, the bartenders were fast, and the staff did an excellent job serving us and our guests. Micah was great with listening to our needs and concerns and doing whatever he could to help out. Karla was always quick to respond to my texts and really helped on the wedding day to keep everything running smoothly. I cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding.

Celebrating our 60th anniversary at Egyptian Hills Resort was an awesome experience.The resort is beautiful and peaceful. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Micah and Karla went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our family enjoyed the water toys, the Pontoon boats, and the fishing.we can't wait to return!

I found this resort while visiting family in hopes of renting a boat. Little did I know that same weekend I would be engaged. We knew this place was special and were dying to check it out. It s one of a kind venue and beauty is what initially drew us in. Karla, Micah and their staff brought our dream wedding to life. They are so easy to work with and were so helpful. I am from the Chicagoland area and was never stressed about the planning process. The bartenders were also amazing! Fish had even made us some signature drinks and our guests were instantly drawn in, him and his pal were cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. We are beyond grateful for the whole team and making our dream become reality! We could not have had a more perfect and smooth day.

I was a guest at a wedding and the staff were amazing at doing their job and were helpful with any questions. The wedding was outdoor and the place was magical looking. Everything was clean and the lighting was perfect. It was a really beautiful place for a wedding, one of the bests I have ever been to, would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Egyptian Hills Resort. It was the most beautiful day at a picture perfect location. It was a pleasure working closely with Micah and Karla for the past year. They listened to my vision and made it come to life even better than I imagined. Karla and the rest of the crew have got it going on in the wedding department- they are efficient, excellent communicators, and are always ready for the next bump in the road. They handle the unexpected quickly and with so much grace. Karla and Micah truly made the whole day a breeze. Fish was the best bartender I ve ever seen and even helped save the day when there were complications with the DJ. He treated my family like his own and provided a service that not many people can match. Everyone at the resort goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. You won t regret choosing them for you wedding destination!

I recently attended a wedding a few weeks ago and I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It is hands down the prettiest place to have a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the lake as a back drop is absolutely breath taking! The staff is helpful and friendly. The food was very good. I would highly recommend the Resort for a wedding or any special event.

Great service. The gentleman I spoke with was nice enough to explain to me why the residents of the area can t use the resort without staying in the resort. Just wish it was open to the public/ pay a fee to enter beach or something. But I understand. Thank you.

Fantastic week celebrating our parent's 60th anniversary and overall family reunion. Great food, hosts, cabins, pontoon boats, fishing, swimming and more! If you enjoy time on the lake with family, schedule a visit ... we had a great time!!

Best place for an event in Southern Illinois hands down, no debate. Micah, Karla and their staff are as accommodating as it gets and the girls cook amazing food. They will bend over backwards for their guests and getting married by the lake is an amazing and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended, and ask for Fish too if he is down there. Love these people!!!!!

We had our wedding here last year, and it was the best decision we've ever made (besides getting married of course). Mikah and Karla were so accommodating and gave us an unforgettable experience. Our guests felt right at home in the cabins. I highly encourage a night or two stay in a cabin. Amazing place!

The staff were wonderful, loved them. The cabin its self wasn't really clean, we found multiple large wads of hair and dust collecting in places. I spilled something on the floor and when i wiped it up the papertowel was black. Cabins could use a deepclean. Also the website oversells the cabins some. It gave off the impression you get your own boat dock but you don't. Staff while nice are hard to contact and only there from 9-5. It's an ok stay but not entirely worth the price

Wonderful, family owned resort right on the lake where the staff was friendly. Cabins clean, food was fantastic and endless activities: Swimming in the lake with fun inflatables, paddle boards, canoes, pontoon boats, and fishing! Would definitely go back:)

I'd give this place 6 stars if I could....Micah and his staff are the absolute best, bar none...my favorite wedding venue to DJ at, my favorite wedding venue people to be around (some of my favorite people to be around period), if you need a wedding venue don't waste time looking around..... just come here. If you need a week or weekend away, come here. If you need a pizza, hell just come here it's worth the drive. The food is magnificent, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the people kick a$$....scuze my French....but seriously, they rock...

I ve attended two weddings at The Resort at Egyptian Hills. One was in the fall outdoors and the other was a Christmas themed wedding. Both weddings were magical. The accommodations, locations, scenery, food and professional staff were wonderful and ensured both events went smoothly. Karla and Micah were fantastic. I highly recommend this venue for your special event.

We reserved a boat for the day and pre paid $300.00. Our reservation was for 9am-5pm. We got on the boat at 930 and we were told we could have it until 530. The gentleman was very accommodating and even gave us a lillypad for the water. However..... the boat was in terrible shape. Mildew and ripped seats. Couldn t go more than half throttle up or the boat died. It seemed that every fifteen minutes or so the boat would overheat. After about 5 hours in the boat completely died and we had to call to get towed back. It was a little disappointing for the 10 of us including the kids who were bummed out about getting off the boat. We were refunded half our money and not charged for the gas we used. I was satisfied with that. Overall it was kind of a bummer but the gentleman that dealt with us was actually really kind and apologetic. The grounds and cabins looked clean and really great view of the lake. I would go back to stay there but NEVER rent a boat from them again.

What a wonderful wedding! Slight issue with sound system and small restrooms, but beautiful setting for joining two lives. Easy to feel God's presence in this peaceful place!

The Shower was backlogged with so much hair, absolutely disgusting. Very unclean, sofas have who knows what type of stains, dogs barking for 5 hrs straight, this place is far worse than one could imagine. When asked for help, no response. Nobody cares. This place is only looking for your money with absolutely no regards customer support. They are expanding and therefore only need your $$$ to pay for the services. 100% Russian Roulette at this place.

Checking out the website, seeing the chalet and knowing we could stay in a small cabin on Lake of Egypt, bring our fishing boat and our dog and be only miles from visiting our daughter we were excited! My initial phone call gave us an opportunity to stay at The Resort at Egyptian Hills because I was told they had one chalet available. I confirmed our plan and called back within 20 minutes, again was told yes they had it available, but he was on an errand and we had a challenging connection so after a promise to call me back to book the last chalet I never heard from them. I attempted to return the call over and over again with no response. I left messages and no one called me back. I could totally understand making a mistake and the chalet to be booked, but to run a business and not respond, answer or call back a customer was just rude and disappointing.

Won a free trip here in November at a fundraiser. Took several phones calls to finally reach Micah in March to get the details and makeThe reservation. In June, tried to call to confirm the reservation no one answered the phones or would call back .

Sold cabins to individuals with HOA fees. Unsold cabins are rented out by resort. Owned cabins can not be rented out. HOA fees have been raised for 2022 and are so high that privately owned cabins owners will not be able pay fees or find a buyer with the high fees imposed. Resort wants to run these out and buy them back (at a reduced price) so they can have all for rentals.

I recently went to a wedding of YoYo@ Carmen it was so beautiful. The food was good as well.. The rides with the golf carts was good. And the workers where very friendly.
