I was completely anxious about my car being hit and needing repairs as it is only a few months old but the owners of GDL, the father and the son made me feel a little bit better about my repairs. The son explained everything to me thoroughly and thoughtfully the parts that he'll need to order and what to expect. When i picked up the father was just as comforting and kind and the work was seamlessly done. My jeep look as perfect as it did when i drove it home. Highly recommended

They scam Veterans on work that they do and will charge you for work that was never even done to begin with. Another mechanic noticed a problem that we were told was fixed at GDL. They will keep your car for days claiming waiting on parts or whatever excuse.

This place is amazing. We were traveling through town and our AC quit working. We have a special-needs little girl who cannot get hot. We brought it into him and he and his father stayed late to make sure that our AC was working. They squeezed us in during their busy time because they knew we needed it working. If I lived closer, I would always bring my vehicles to him, his price was great and he fixed our AC after a shop back home charged us three times as much and never fixed it. dealing with this company was one of the worst decisions I've made concerning a vehicle. My father used to do business with them years ago so I thought it would be a good place to take 2 of my vehicles. After my horrible experiences I later found out my Dad stopped getting service there for the same reasons. One of my jeeps was side swiped and I had it taken there for repair. When it was complete window, trimmings we're missing the white paint they used didn't match the manufacturer paint (dull) and my car emblems were put back on backwards. There was also a rattling in the door whenever I'd hit a bump. GDL had one year previously done work on my other Jeep and we decided to take it back because we could hear the brakes grinding. We were told we needed a new rear axel and was told that for a 2016 wrangler the price would be at least 5k and it may also require more work. We decided take it somewhere else. As my wife was driving home the rear wheels locked up in the middle lane on the Dan Ryan. There were no issues besides the grinding noise before we dropped it off. Once we got it to another repair shop we were told that the previous shop emptied the differential fluid. It's hard to find honest mechanics. Took my vehicle to them kinda knowing what the issue was but I needed help diagnosing. Actually was what I thought the original problem was but they didn't pressure me into anything. After we pinpointed the issue it was addressed timely and at a descent price. Definitely will go again. Sidenote make an appointment they get rather busy.

Great people! They always get you in! They have treated my wife with respect and haven't had any issues. Prices are reasonable. I am glad they are still in business. But most of the car repair places didn't get a break. People were home, so they were able to wait for their car. Better to be busy with business than not!

The worse ever !!!!! I brought a car from them and I paid 11k cash. The car was perfect. Three months later I went to get an oil change done by them and after a hour later from getting my oil change my engine coolant light came on and my car started to over heat. It was fluids mixing together everywhere in my car. Now I need a new transmission and it was all they fault. I haven t even had the car longer than 6 months. Please don t trust them with your car.Service: Oil change

GDL is fantastic! They were professional and friendly. That took great care of my car. It looks exactly how it did the day I drove it off the lot. High recommend them if you need and body repair done on your car!They even were amazing and made sure to sanitize my car with what's going on currently.

Jesus, the owners son, was very rude and impatient. My husband visited this location and was treated unfriendly because he looked like he couldn t afford the services. They weren t accurate with their quoting and kept increasing the amounts. I don t recommend this business especially if you re Hispanic, they seem to have something against their own kind.

The Best Auto Repair & Sales Business on the South Side of ChicagoGDL Auto Body Inc. is the most amazing auto repair. It s a family owned and run business of a father and his two sons, Jesus, Jesse, and Curtis Gomez. They have done so much repair work for me. Their work is excellent, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I had been car shopping for several months. I was test driving a used car and came to GDL for a diagnostic. They tested it for me and used car was not good quality. Jesse said well why didn t you come see me if you needed a car. He asked me what you are looking for. I told him I need something not to old, not to many miles on it, under $4000. They had to perfect car for me. A 2004 Kia Spectra in great condition fully cared for and met all my requirements. I test drove the vehicle and bought it that same day. They even worked with me for my budget on a payment plan, which they did not have to do. They put on new tires after I had flat tires, new windshield wipers, and new oxygen sensor for me. I LOVE them. If you want QUALITY work, GREAT prices, EXCELLENT customer service you NEED to go see GDL.

i've been bringing our cars here for years. They've taken care of me every time. Everything from a new set of tires to a new drive shaft and suspension work . They've even done a terrific job at removing the dents and dings on my 14yr old car; all for a price that can't be beat. As others have said, GLD does a great job at presenting your options and their recommendations before starting work. Definitely recommend.

This is the place to go for body work or mechanical repairs . We happened upon them because they were listed as trusted repair shop from our insurance company. We chose them after reading the other reviews & the proximity of the shop to our home . BEST choice we could have made . Fast , AWESOME work . Very friendly, knowledgeable, great prices . They repaired our van twice from 2 different accidents within 8 months of each other . OUTSTANDING work . Our van looks showroom new, they even detailed it !!!

I have had several vehicles worked on by GDL and each and every time they were wonderful! Customer Service, workmanship and prices were outstanding! Recommended many people to GDL and everyone of them were very pleased. Highly recommended!!

Over all the work they did looks nice but I can see a few spots where the paint was runny. There is a a small spot on my bumper where I see a glob of gloss. They also Broke a clip off the rubber piece that connects to my fender.

These guys are awesome! Always reasonable pricing and very informative. On top of all that they are certified and A+ rated... We don't take our vehicles any where else.

They all speak Spanish and won't speak English to you or acknowledge you unless your the head guy in charge. I asked them to look over my car completely and didn't tell them that I knew there was several things wrong with my car. They fixed some thigns, but the main things I knew needed fixing they didn't even bother to touch. Either they are blind or didn't care. But I WILL NOT BE going back. I also heard they ruined other peoples cars. I guess I'm lucky not to be one who's car got jacked up. But it's not fixed, my oxygen sensor is still rusted to all poopie.so I have to get it fixed else where by people who know how to do things right and are respectful. These people ARE NOT. BEWARE If U ARE NOT HISPANIC THEY TREAT U LIKE NOTHING

Come her for all my auto repairs and never once been treated poorly because I don't speak Spanish...They do a great job every time and address all my issues, they even go the extra mile and when I have one off questions I can call them for advice.

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME GOING TO GDL & I MUST SAY THAT I WAS TREATED WITH PROFESSIONALISM & KINDNESS... EVERYTHING WAS EXPLAINED IN GREAT DETAIL BEFORE & AFTER. I WAS EVEN TOLD THAT THEY WOULD TRY & SAVE ME $$$ ...I DEFINITELY WOULD REFER A FRIEND OR STRANGER... ALTHOUGH THEY SAID SEE YOU SOON... I RATHER IT BE A WHILE GREAT JOB GUYS

Had my car for three weeks for a right rear collision they joyrode the car cause all the gas was gone instead of getting the paint code off the car they mixed the paint trying to be cheap they lied about the work they did on top of that they broke the window on my car avoid this place at all cost!!! �
