Been going through this shop for a decade, they are completely honest and always do the job right. For an instance, I thought there was something wrong with my shifter cable, slave cylinder, and my transmission. They could've charged me for that easily but I was just low on gear oil on my manual transmission. A 400 dollar job changed into a 30 dollar job, Same with everything else they've done for me. They may take a little longer than you want to get your car on the road again, and busy most of the time, but if you want your car done right by honest, trustworthy people, please consider.

Honestly the best experience I ve ever had at an auto shop! I used to go to CT&V in dav and they lied took $1700 from me. Lied about problems they didn t even fix. I go here and it was just my spark plugs, tires and something else I think all for about $230 I will never ever go anywhere else but here and Teresa was GOD SENT an angel! So nice and amazing! Found them on the Internet through a Google searthey answered my questions about my car and promptly fixed it. My fuel pump was replaced and I'm back on the road again so thankful that they were there they did top notch quality work I would highly recommend them. I own a small business and had a van break down. I called them and they were towing it off in less then an hour. My van has a PTO which can make engine work more difficult but this did not concern them one bit. All my brakes were shot traveling though Illinois I stopped here to get them repaired. They charged 1200$ to replace one rotar and one pad and the master cylinder. Here I am 2 months later at a mechanics shop saying I need to change them or my truck will catch on fire. These people are backwoods hillbilly s that argue with the receptionist up front. Disrespectful and scam artist people.Service: Brakes

I took my truck in for some exhaust work and asked for the engine to be looked at due to an unusual noise. After fixing a leak in my exhaust, the owner assured me that I have a healthy engine and he doesn t see a need to fix it. He could have easily found a few parts that could pass as replaceable considering the truck is 22 years old but Dave knew it s a work truck and didn t try to ring up the bill. In a day and age where honesty and transparency are usually not in the same sentence as auto repair, G & L auto is an exception! Highly recommend.Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

Span $1100 on brakework and 2 months later we're told we need another $1100 worth of brakework. Brakes'are grinding doing the same thing. We were told that what was listed on the service ticket is not what was done. They said ithere is no way.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Shop refused to swap out the springs on my struts, took struts in to get them repaired, was told they only use parts that they sell, but they don't sell aftermarket springs for racing use. Told them I would pay however much money it cost me as long as it was done properly. They refused. Therefore it is impossible for me to get my struts worked on by them. 0/10 Not reasonable to work with.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

I was about to leave for a road trip and the mechanic was able to diagnose and fix 2 wheel bearings the day before I left. They were also honest, telling me that my struts, which a large oil change company told me were bad, were in fact not bad, saving me hundreds of dollars. I got an alert that I had a tire with really low pressure as I was driving from Rock Island to Coal Valley.I Googled car repairs and got this company and I can't praise them enough. in less than 20 minutes they had repaired my tire and I was on my way. I needed my truck towed after brake caliper froze up. They arrived quickly and even though they are are in the repair business towed it to the dealer I wanted to work on it. Price for the tow was very reasonable.

I have had a few repairs done to my older vehicle here. They are very helpful and prices are fair. Work is done quickly and they are willing to answer follow-up questions without a hassle. I will continue to use thier services.

Had to have our truck towed and worked on. The mechanic who towed us and worked on our truck was fantastic. Prompt towing and worked thru his lunch to get us back on the road. Thank you.

They fix my heater for heat that my regular repair said I got all I'll have which was wrong so G and L has got my buisness when to them WHEN no oil o when on 280 and fix there GOOD
