I was having a hard morning this last Friday after not being able to replace my left side mirror bc the last bolt was rusted into place. I called value services and they told me to come in ASAP and it was no problem, they could drill it off. It was done in less than 30 minutes, and when I went out to my car, I realized they had also attached my mirror without charging me! It was such a kind thing to do and I seriously almost cried because it made my day so much easier. I will definitely be returning to get a paint touch up on my weathered kia. Thanks again!!

Last Thursday late morning, there was a new grinding and clunking noise in the front end of my older Toyota truck when turning left or right. I couldn't find anything myself and went to Value Services to ask if they could diagnose and possibly repair the problem.Within two hours, they were able to diagnose the problem as a defective CV axle shaft (on the opposite side of where I thought the noise was). David gave me a reasonable estimate and patiently answered my questions about the specific source/brand of the part they were going to install.I asked them to perform the repair, and they had it ready later the same afternoon. They even boxed up the old part and put it in the cargo area based on my request. Dac explained that using the vehicle off pavement can likely reduce the lifespan of the CV axles. The repair took care of the specific problem I came in for, and they didn't try to sell me any additional services.In sum, based on this first visit, I am very happy with this shop and am definitely planning to go back for upcoming maintenance or repairs on both of our cars. Thanks again for the good work and for taking care of me on the same day!

I went here to get a second opinion because Chevy gave me a ridiculous quote for a fix on my car. Not only did David and value services tell me what was actually wrong with my car it ended up saving me nearly $3,000. If you have car work that needs to be done and you're not sure how much you should be spending for it I can't recommend value Services enough. I would gladly return to them for any car work that I need done.

They will take good care of here. They're impeccably honest (which is a very rare and distinguishing) quality in the auto services industry. They charge a fair price and do great work and are very accommodating. A+++

I took my car in to have a simple brake job done. They did the pads and resurface the rotors. After getting my car back, the brakes were grinding very loudly. I called back to let them know that and they said that I should bring it back in and probably have had new rotors put on it which they should ve done the first time and not resurface the old rotors in my opinion. After bringing it back in, they kept it the whole day and charged me another $400 for new rotors. I left and they seemed fine but are now still grinding very loudly. I don t know what they re doing or not doing but the brakes are not coming out, right. For a business that has 4 1/2 stars on yelp and has been there for 25 years, I expected more. I would recommend going to a different mechanic and not waste your time going back to this place several times

I love Value Services. We have been taking our cars there for many years. They charge a fair price. You do sometimes need to call them to check on your status of your car as they are very busy.

How do you services is a hidden gem in Edgewater! It's so hard to find car repair service that you can actually trust and count on. They were referred to me by a colleague that has been using them for 20 years. I can see why...... It's a family-run business that is true to their word and always helpful, education,and economical!

Amazing company with amazing workers! Me and my partner had bad luck all at once. My car was broken into with parts ripped out and smashed, and my girlfriends car had multiple parts fail all at once. This happened within a few days and Value Services, specifically the owner, Doc and David, were there to be flexible, supportive, caring and fast with our cars. I called them for advice to get my car to start, and they were able to work around my budget with multiple solutions. I ve been to a few car repair places and this one is the best. Super nice people and I would recommend them to anyone at any side of town. David was amazing!! I have a 2018 Chevy Cruz and my check engine light was on. Took it to Chevy and they charged me an arm and a leg just to get it looked at then proceeded to tell me it would cost $1,500 to fix it without telling me what was wrong. Decided to try this place instead and David gave me the code that it was reading and explained everything to me. He said it was an easy fix (one of the valves just needed to be cleaned out). Only charged me the diagnostic fee and got my car back same day! I will definitely be going back for all my car needs!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I live in the neighborhood and I've brought my Jeep here a couple of times and they are very friendly and do great work. They have fair prices for the repairs they do. And they are trust worthy as well. How do I know this? Last winter my Wrangler was completely dead. I assumed I needed a new battery or something else was wrong because of the deep cold last winter. I had it towed to their garage. They called me shortly later to inform me that there was nothing wrong with my Jeep or the battery. The battery clamps were simply not tightened enough! A shady mechanic or garage would have made something up and charged me for something that didn't need to be fixed. I will definitely be bringing my Jeep back here for any future repairs. Having a good auto repair shop is important and these are the guys for me!

Super honest people!!! I found them on the internet and decided to try them since they're just couple of blocks from my place! I was suspecting that i didn't need the broken part replaced (i didn't tell them that) and when i called to check on whether or not they'd finish the job this afternoon, they told me it's ready for pick up as they only had to reattach it! They even put my umbrella back in my car (i forgot it inside their office) and that's a bonus point because no one has ever returned an umbrella that i have lost or misplaced! I will come back to them for any repairs from now on!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I ve lived in the Edgewater neighborhood my entire life and these are my go to guys. Always friendly, straightforward and professional. They have helped me numerous times over the years with flat tires, oil changes and whatever I needed done. I prefer supporting a neighborhood shop just a block away from my home rather than going to the dealer for my repairs. Highly recommend Value Services.

My car was vandalized on the street, Value Services diagnosed and repaired my car within a single day for a very fair price. They got me back on the road. Once home I was told their work was poor, much had to be redone.

My aunt recommended this place from when she lived in the neighborhood years prior.I ve gone here for general and larger maintenance for the majority of a decade now. The folks are fast and polite, and have never tried to oversell or overcharge me for anything unnecessary, even as a young female.Two cars later, and now living all the way out in Avondale, I continue to drive up to the North side for my maintenance instead of finding somewhere closer, because I trust them.

Top notch service and bodywork repair! The owner went the extra mile for me after my fiberglass fender cracked from top to bottom upon contact with a concrete pillar. Fast work, reasonably priced.

I trusted this workshop until he the owner lied to me about my lock screw for my lexus.He broke it and claimed he forget to tell me unti i asked him. I would have left without it had i not asked...Shame on him.He may be a good mechanic but he has lost my trust....plus he charged me 900 plus to fix some rods that broke, wont give me back the one he removed. Until i raked hell. It would have been better had he sais something. Im taking my business elsewhere.

Nobody likes car repairs or going in those shops where you don't know about car repairs or fair prices or empathy from mechanics.....These people helped me to the point I am writing this review to tell everyone to visit them. Good people.
