I want to give a personal Thank You to Greg at Thom s Four Wheel Drive! His honesty and reassurance on repairing my 2013 Ford Focus was superb. He literally walk me through every repair process and even advised me on financial options I didn t even know existed. It soooo refreshing to have upstanding mechanics like Greg and his team. I would highly recommend them above all because they re going to properly evaluate what car repairs are needed for you vehicle.

Took my 2006 Lexus GX to Thom's to diagnose a steering and alignment issue. The car's problem wasn't immediately clear and the team at the shop went above and beyond the call of duty to identify and fix the issue (even taking time to look at the engine mounts!).Fair pricing and knowledgeable team with great customer service. Couldn't recommend enough.

Would definitely recommend. Mechanics with integrity are super hard to find. They aren t out to make a quick buck. They ll be honest with you and go over any red flags in the vehicle, and let you decide if you want to move forward with expensive repairs.

Took my XJ Cherokee to Thom's because my heat was blowing cold and spoke to Gregg. Little did I know I would find my new favorite shop on the Northside. After they flushed the system thoroughly my heater is almost TOO hot without any pricey repairs! They could have just skipped that step and told me the whole system was shot, but they know what they're doing and saved me hundreds of bucks. Being a 2001 Jeep, naturally they gave me a comprehensive list of recommendations for other maintenance via text message including photos which was awesome. Never at any point did I feel like I was being upsold or pressured on anything. Returned the following week for a couple more maintenance items and once again had a great experience - on time and friendly service. If time allows, they'll even have your Jeep/4x4 washed when you arrive. They are a little more pricey than average, but you get what you pay for in this case. Thom , Greg & co offer guidance in maintaining and getting the most out of your vehicle. Individual service plans can be formulated for your pocketbook with work needed to be done laid out in a timely manner. Pushed repairs? Not at Thom's. Can't say enough about this shop, engine light came on, called the surrounding dealerships and they said it would take 1 month for them to see my vehicle. Called Thoms and they said can you bring it in tomorrow and we will take a look at it. Greg was the most professional I've ever worked with in this industry. He gave me the run down of what was wrong with my car, and provided future tune ups that I would need to make sure my car stays working. Very honest and the price was lower than what my dealership offered. I will 100% go back, and bring my future vehicles here. I found Thom s thru a google search, to repair my 2015 Jeep. They communicated all that needed repair, and we focused on what needed immediate care. I am really happy with their services. The service team is friendly, polite and professional. Thom s replaced the bearings in my Toyota FJ Cruiser. It had been making some strange sounds. They knew exactly what needed to be done, and fixed it just in time for my vacation. The next day I drove it 650 miles, and it ran like a dream. They did a great job! So happy to have a quality mechanic I can trust. Thank you!

These guys are miracle workers. I have a 21 year old Renegade that they added some years to. Greg and his crew show a detailed analysis with photos to show the client exactly what is going on. They are very honest. My Jeep is not the newest and best. Parts are difficult to find often. They find them. They will make sure your vehicle is running as well as possible. The prices? Unbelievabley fair. Seriously. I will not take my Jeep elsewhere. Thank you Greg and crew!!

We had a great experience! We had a brake job at a different shop less than a year ago. We trusted that the place replaced our brakes and rotors. However, less than 6 months later we were having issues. We scheduled an appointment at Thom s and we re told the other shop never replaced brake pads just rotors. Thom s went out of their way to help us. Greg was wonderful and went out of his way to show us that new pads and rotors were replaced. He wanted to build our trust after such a horrible experience at the other shop. I highly recommend Thom s and hope you can work with Greg. He was wonderful!Service: Brake service & repair

I've taken my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Thom's a couple of times now for service and like a fine wine, they just seem to get better and better. I've yet to see another auto shop send you detailed write ups on your inspection including pictures of the areas in need of work. The transparency alone is worth the price of admission. If you need to talk through anything from pricing, timing, etc. give Greg a call. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and very candid with you so you can make an informed decision. As long as Thom's is in business, I'll be a loyal customer with all my SUVs.

I continue to trust and rely on Thom's to take care of my vehicle. Thom and Greg (and all the guys) are awesome! They are always thorough and explain everything in detail. Took very good care of my 4runner and even stayed late to get the work done the same day!! I have been receiving Thom's auto help, wisdom and kindness for... wow... more than 30 years.>He dealt with my snarly insurance when my catalytic converter was stolen.>He has come to my garage to help with a flat tire.>Yesterday I went in for an oil change and found out my muffler had a huge dangerous hole in it. It was replaced before the end of the day! I am safe again!>AND...after my husband Jake passed, Thom assisted in selling his truck to another customer...and brought me the cash!Honest Thom and his family of smart, nice mechanics are amazing! Great and friendly service! They offer detailed diagnostics and also organize it in terms of priority, which makes it easy to know what jobs your car absolutely needs. I would just recommend asking other shops for estimates before telling them to start working on your car :)Update: Although their service consisted of great customer service I will not be returning. According to Thom's Four Wheel Drive, I needed to get my front and rear suspension. After taking my car for an alignment (as they did not include this when they changed my tires and balanced them) I was told nothing was wrong, so they proceded with the alignment. I was also told that my wheels needed to get balanced, which I got charged for at Thom's Four Wheel Drive!!!! As I said before, I would recommend taking your car to different shops to double check if your car really needs that work done (+ prices may be more affordable).Update: In my initial visit I bought a new set of 4 tires from this location. One day I had to replace one of my tires and went to the nearest shop & was advised that one of my tires was not the same size as the rest. I called Thom s Four Wheel Drive right away to fix this mistake and they did an exchange with no problem.

Stay away from Thoms 4-wheel auto service. They are dishonest, unethical rip off artist. I caught them trying to rip me off last time in for an oil change for my Jeep. They always do a full inspection. Last time in they told me it was critical that I have the front and back differential fluid changed. However, I just had them do this 6 mo ago. When I told them this they looked up my accounts and said oh ok well you are good then. I was like wait how can you tell me something is critical to have done then tell me its ok? He wasn t able to answer and just asked if I wanted any other service done today?They also quoted me $380 to change my battery. I went to Auto Zone and had it done for $280.Stay away, they assume you don t know anything about your car and will tell you you need work done that you don t need. I will not be back.** Per TAS reply. They showed me a picture and told me my differential fluid was bad and needed replaced. Plus, they left oil all over the cover to make it look like it is leaking. They knew what they were doing which was trying to run a scam.Service: Oil change

Thom and Greg have helped me out multiple times in the last few months with car troubles. Not only can you expect great service with Thom s - but fair pricing and they will offer you solutions and options to meet your needs. They have done a great job offering me advice and resources as well as working with me around my work schedule and keeping my car safe until I can pick it up. They get the job done quick and painless. 100% recommend! I ll only take my car to Thom s!

Worst experience I have encountered from any business. Went back four times, at least, to have brakes replaced on 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee as they were done incorrectly each time, despite charging a premium price for a basic and routine repair. Each time I was there for hours, only to have to return again and again due to their inability to properly install the brakes/fix their mistake.I was prepared to be a long time repeat customer and was willing to pay extra for what I thought was better service/repairs. This was all based on their reviews and my desire for a trustworthy shop that focuses on Jeeps. Customer beware, you are not getting what you are paying for at Thom's.Things got resolved only after the mechanic was honest and told me they are not putting in the best parts for the money. I confronted Greg Pozanski, who had no explanation or anything of substance to say - stood like a pitiful child caught in a lie saying "sorry" while looking at the ground. The secretary was nice, the mechanics were honest. Greg should be fired and ashamed. Thoms is overrated, overpriced, and they lack the integrity they claim to have. If possible I would give 0 stars.Service: Brakes

The service at Thom's is impeccable. I went in for a routine maintenance and for a first-timer, I felt right at home. While I was waiting they sent me a text with the details on my vehicle, what needs to be done immediately and possibly later. Very neat! No repair center I've been so far has ever offered me that.I was in and out in no time with oil change, new filters and a complimentary car wash. Always professional and honest, Thom's provides excellent work quality. The shop is clean and organized.Monday morning I started my car to go to work- very loud! Obviously something wrong with exhaust system. I called Thom's from my car, they could take a look straight away. I drive straight to the shop, told my boss I was going to be late. Greg met me, got my car up and took a look- sure enough, parts of the system were disintegrating.. Greg said they could order and receive parts and get the job done right then! Sure enough, i drive away shortly after, back to work! I'm very pleased, and will always recommend Thom's.Service: Exhaust

The car was sputtering and slipping and dying, even while driving. But after a couple of restarts, it worked fine. I took it to this place because I know that they have a large clientele of jeep owners. I ve been watching them for a couple years now. shop seems to be full of jeeps, all models, almost always more than 80% Jeeps. I felt that if these guys can t do it, then this thing is toast. They embraced the project with confidence, and yet it took two tries But ultimately was worth the trouble. All of the engine light codes cleared. Even the EVAP codes after replacing it with a new gas cap myself.These guys can be trusted, and they sure knew what to do. Not only the cam sensor but they changed the shaft underneath it that senses the camp position. This thing has been running like a top ever since.I am proud to give these guys the highest recommendation. They are also very kind and very courteous and very detailed minded. You can tell that the owners influence trickles down amongst his staff here. I will definitely be coming back here.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

We had our Jeep Grand Cherokee towed for a second time in 8 months. I should have had it towed to Thom's the first time. The shop scheduled a tow for me since I was at work (HUGE help!). Got everything diagnosed in ~30 mins and called me to confirm the next steps. They had the parts at their warehouse to make it easy and I had our car back in roughly 24 hours. Their quality of service and automotive knowledge is the best I've seen in the city. I can't recommend them enough! They have a customer for life.

This was helpful in deciding what services I needed to do immediately.
