Stay away from this place.Not only are the prices too high, but you'll have to come back soon with another problem because they're ruining your car. After leaving Tandil Auto Repair, my car again pop out check engine and other problem occurred. I barely made it to the next mechanic. It cost me a lot but I would like to warn you against this scammer.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Electrical, Battery

I have to Say MIKE is the only Mechanic that I trust to work on my Mercedes benz ..Honest and explains everything that is wrong with your vehicle and is very reasonable with his prices ...thanks Mike ..I give him 10 star out of 5 !!!!!! Also I almost forgot when I was 16 years old I had a bad motor mount on my first 85 grand pri V6 car and he replaced a motor mount ..I cannot lie but charged me Like 50 dollars part and labor...that was a long time ago but I still recall his help ..fyi every other Mechanic wanted 150.00 dollars..and 2 day want. Mike is a great guy, first mechanic I feel like I can genuinely trust. He helped me out a year ago with my car and it was very affordable. This time, I came in because the shield on my muffler lost a screw and was rattling around, he took care of me right away, took all of 15 minutes and didn t charge; truly appreciated. I feel like if I went anywhere else it would have been overly expensive.

Great shop! Mike is the most honest, reliable owner in town. Great prices, and honors warranties. Mike has helped me many times over the years and I cannot recommend any other shop but Tandil auto repair if you want the best work in Chicago.

One of the most honest, trustworthy, affordable, and kind mechanic shops in Chicago. Mike the owner is not only a great man but he s a car guru and master. We take all of the family car s, and my father s commercial furniture trucks and Mike always goes above and beyond. We are very grateful to know him and for everything he does. His expertise, manners, and character go a long way past running a local shop. He s the man to go to in Chicago!

Mike, the owner, at tandil is a straight forward guy. He let's you know what you need and what you don't. Even when I get a big bill from them, which is usually not the case, I know that I saved money and that the repair was necessary and done efficiently. Glad that this shop is in my neighborhood.

Mike who is the owner of the shop great me a great price both times I needed repair. He did great work too. I probably should have kept quiet about this, because once everybody finds out he's the best, it will be too crowded in his shop.:) But that would be good for him and he deserves it.

Had all my cars repaired at Tandil for many years. The owner Mike is not only a very nice man and top of the line mechanic, the repair cost is more than fair. For Xmas he gets a new Torque wrench so we can remain tight friends for many more years--Thanks Mike from J F

My Nissan tire was loosing air and I had to keep pumping more every week. Mike check the tire and told me that from his experience this is not a nail but bad oxidation on the wheel .His tech.took off tire and clean oxidation that's solved my problem.Mike's diagnose,repairs are accurate fast at fair price. Big thanks.

Mike is a good guy. Dealer wanted a ridiculous amount and just said "everything needs to be replaced." Mike took a look at it, determined the real problem and fixed what needed to be fixed, at 60% of the dealer quote.Thanks Mike/Tandil, I'll send more business your way.

Took my 2009 Jeep Patriot to Tandil Auto Repair for a repair of two front stabilizers. Gave me a fair quote and fixed it in a timely manner. Professional, Trust worthy, fair quotes. Definitely recommend this business.

Very good and honest mechanic. Thought I had a starter problem and Mike recommended we test the battery first instead of taking my money and fixing the starter he helped fixed the right problem. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I've been known Mike a long time you've been working on all my cars from day one including my family mike is straight forward a nice guy willing to work with you always tells you what's wrong with your car and what are the threats on the road if you continue to drive he's got a very good awesome mechanic I call him the little Mexican I'm not racist but this guy is good he put a rebuilt engine in my car I've never had any problems this guy he's the best without him Mike would be nothing it's very hard to find awesome mechanics thank you Mike for all the work YOU DONE.

Took my car in not knowing what to expect as far as Cost & Service....All i can say is don't let the looks of a place fool you...This shop has quite a few cars on it's premises and i thought i'd be waiting forever...Wrong...In&Out...Bam! Thanks to Mike(The Owner)and his guys....If i need any more work done i know who to call...TANDIL AUTO REPAIR INC...

Not reliable at all took my car there for one thing and they ened up do something else then went back to get the issues resolved and they couldn't find the problem and they did an old change without my consent and didn't put parts back together the way they were wow not good
