do not feel like i would get ripped off here. friendly staff, very accommodating! came here for an oil change on my scooter, while they don t specialize in motorcycle care and all the staffs were super helpful!

Excellent service at a fair priceWe have been a loyal customers to Sun and Hugo and his family for nearly 20 years. Yesterday, I brought my 2015 Honda Pilot with 115,000 miles in for an oil change and tire rotation. They told me when it would be ready and it was finished as promised. Last year they diagnosed an oil leak and quickly fixed it. They have helped me over the yearswith new tires, new batteries, brake pads and rotors, and other maintenance items. My wife and I will continue to return for all our auto needs.

They were thorough with their work. Super responsive when I called and Hugo was even patient with me when I provided the wrong part for the repair and allowed me to run out and grab the correct one. Service was fast and painless. Would definitely recommend them.

I brought my car in because it was overheating and died , I asked just my car to run again so they said it was the radiator , and thermostat & they fixed the radiator and as a "safety" job they Added 20 other things. My car is making screches and thumping now and rears off to the left (But its safe)?. I cant do nothing unless i buy "new tires" as i was told . My total was about $2300 .. Friendly people. But just make sure you bring a mechanic or know about cars because yu might lose out on money and more money to fix "new'' issues.

Hugo and his team are very friendly and efficient, and fair priced. My car had a dead battery from the cold and was disabled a block away from the shop, and I was running late for work. Hugo said I ll take care of it . He got my car to the shop and had it ready to go by the end of day. The prices were more than fair, and it is backed by the service they offer. Great having them in Roscoe Village. I would recommend Sun Auto to anyone looking for a fair mechanic who will give them a straight answer at a good price.

I called at 2 pm on a Thursday because my car had started making a weird noise. By the end of the day, NOT ONLY was my car fixed and ready to be picked up, the cost was extremely reasonable. This is also my second similar experience here. Both times I've been over-the-moon satisfied. Being a single woman with a luxury car unfortunately means that I've been taken advantage of by mechanics before. I have never once felt that way from the employees here. They know their jobs very, very well. Would absolutely recommend!!

I have visited Sun Auto Service a few times now, and have had a great experience every time I've gone. The folks at Sun Auto are professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. After I found pink liquid leaking from under my hood, Hugo informed me I needed a radiator and thermostat replacement, and managed to get the work done same day. I have brought my vehicle there ever since, and recommend it to anyone that I can!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Our family recently rented a U-Haul truck for a cross-country move. These guys were great! Courteous, helpful and honest. They also spent a good deal of time helping us with a billing issue that wasn't even their fault after the move. Can't say enough good things about Sun Auto Service! Best rental experience ever (and we've moved our kids about a dozen times)!

I've been going to Sun Auto for the last 2 or so years and they've always done a fantastic job no matter what I've brought it. They've replaced leaf spring shackles for me, traced ground faults, rebuilt my column shifter, and swapped every fluid I can think of, all quickly and at very reasonable prices. I no longer live close to them but it is still worth the extra mileage to stop by and have maintenance done. Hugo and all of his employees are fantastic to deal with, very friendly and knowledgeable, and are always willing to explain what they need to do and why they're doing it. As long as I'm living in Chicago I will always recommend Sun Auto and continue to go there myself.

5 star ratings?.. Are you serious?! How? My experience here was no where close to even a 2 star rating. If you have a whole day to let your car sit there and to only come across arrogant Hugo with a major attitude problem that he can't even back up with his work. Dude was aggressively shouting and acting like a grown man child when I came back to pick car up. He actually stared me down as I was driving out the lot. Yeah, that's really professional trying to intimidate a customer. I came here to get a overall diagnostic test and to possibly replace the battery. I dropped car off at 10:30am and 5 hours later I get a call saying that they just finished looking at it and if I wanted to change out battery. Was a bad phone connection on their end and tried calling back several times and no answer. I was told that the phones in shop were not working. So, couldn't tell them that I'm not getting a battery cause a nearby shop was almost $100 less. Go elsewhere. Even Jiffy Lube will do a more thorough job for you. Insanely overrated.Service: Battery

Reserving a uhaul is quick and easy. I've worked with the folks here twice and they have been friendly and helpful both times.Update Feb 2021 - one year later and we re happy to work with them again! Booking a truck is smooth and quick. They walk you fully through terms and cost. So friendly!

I called ahead to schedule an appointment and the gentleman on the phone was very kind and friendly. We decided I would drop my car off at the beginning of the day. I took my car to the dealer to get a spare remote key cut and programmed. Not only would the dealer not guarantee that they could successfully do it, but they said they'd also have to keep my car a few days and the estimate was nearly $900! I said, "No Thanks," and brought it to Hugo at Sun Auto. I shared that the dealer said the whole steering column needed to be replaced and how much the dealer was gonna charge. He said he thought he could take care of me. And within 24 hours the car was perfect (steering column replaced, key programmed and cut, tail light fixed, and oil changed) and he charged me HALF of what the dealer wanted. Did I mention that I didn't even need an appointment??? LOVE having these guys in our neighborhood!!!!!

Sun Auto has been for my go to place for car repairs for several years. Hugo and team do an exceptional job and always go above and beyond. Not to mention, they are very reasonably priced and get repairs done in a timely matter. I wouldn t go anywhere else in the city, and I trust them with my vehicles.

I won't take my car anywhere else. I've compared prices elsewhere and Sun Auto always beats it. They're ethical, reasonable, and do good work. I'll always trust Hugo and his team with my car.

Over time, I have taken 4 high mileage vehicles to Sun. They have always provided great service at a good price and give great advice - including telling me to get rid of one car because it had reached the point it was going to cost me more than it was worth to keep it on the road.

Just used Sun Auto for the first time recently. Brought my car in for a total check up, hadn't had any work done in a long time. The Sun staff addressed all the major issues and threw in minor cosmetic repairs at no charge. They assessed what my car needed within a couple of hours and had all the work finished by the end of the day. They even worked with me over the phone to break down all the repair costs and prioritize what needed fixing most urgently so I could stay within my budget. Will definitely be my new go-to auto shop.

Came in for an oil change, they were super friendly and waited to eat lunch to get me out of there sooner! Even put air in my tires. Not my usual auto place but I would definitely come back.

If you have truck and auto needs, this is your go to Service Center.The care and attention to detail, and service that you were used to, and expected, back in the day. Dropped my car off at 8:30am because it was making a scary metal scratching noise when I accelerated. The folks at Sun Auto were speedy, helpful and explained the issue really clearly. Excellent service! My car broke down near the shop on Friday night. The guys opened the shop right on time on Saturday morning and were able to figure out my problem within an hour time. It looked complicated but they really knew what they were doing. I am glad I found a place near me where I didn't have to pay $$$+ in repairs. Thanks Sun Auto!

First of all they do great work, at a fair price, quickly, as in drive up and they've probably started fixing your car before you even realize you're out of your car. These guys are wizards. Possibly literally. They might seriously control time or something, like in Marvel's Dr. Strange, you see that movie? I really liked it. But my second point is, they're super friendly, genuine people, and you can have a nice conversation about whatever while they whisper incantations under your vehicle. They're the sort of people you feel warm tinglies seeing, the exact people whom you'd want to wield control over the matter of existence. Highly recommended.

Went to Sun Auto Service to check on a loud noise my car was making. I was expecting a bill running into hundreds of dollars. They checked the car, adjusted a part that was loose, and charged $20.I respect their integrity.
