This shop is the real deal. From brake jobs to engine rebuilds. Great service, great prices, honest work and easy to deal with. They've worked on all my cars over the last 10 years and still going strong. Jay and Lulu are awesome. This shop is very pet friendly

Great service at very fair & competitive prices! Definitely one of the best, if not THE best, auto repair & maintenance shops in the Bridgeport and surrounding areas! Been going to Jay for a decade. Literally go nowhere else, save warranty issue with dealership. Great people. Skilled, honest and diligent service. You will not go anywhere else once you try them out.

I scheduled online, but apparently it didn't work, so I essentially had a walk-in service. I got a pair of brake pads and a drum brake replaced in same day, with reasonable price. Lulu is superb in arranging and explaining everything!

Lulu s (receptionist) service is excellent here! She is knowledgeable and will tell you exactly what you need and nothing more! She is not here to juice your wallet but to help and that is very apparent in her work ethic. I ve been to shops with nothing but bad service so this was a shock to me. I hope they are paying her well or she will get snatched by competition!Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes

Jay has been helping us for many many years, we bring all of cars here from oil change to mechanical repairs. He is the best! Great quality and affordable price. You won t be disappointed. my car had an intermittent drivetrain malfunction on dash and some minor oil leaks. car spent 2 weeks in the shop and idk if they didn t wanna deal with it or they couldn t figure out what was causing the malfunction notification. they replaced some oil pipes because it s easy to get to and charged me 600 dollars. i shouldn t have mentioned bout the oil leak when i knew there s another major problem with the engine. now the only thing that s STAY ON is the check engine light. i went to another shop and the car needs 5500 dollars worth of valve train repair. it s a very common problem with these bmw 4 bangers. stay on probably knew it too but they chose to ignore it. the fact that they ignored a potential major issue and did the easy job for a quick cash grab bothers me. if they told me bout it i would ve paid them the diag and traded it in instead of wasting 600 dollars for some unrelated oil leak

I ve been taking my Subaru Forester for the past few years.They replaced my air conditioner.The new belt failed. I was in Michigan.They found a local shop and I got my car fixed at no cost. $0!They are the best! They never over charge. Lulu at the front desk is super friendly and knowledgeable! She really made the experience wonderful. I brought in my car after getting a list of recommended repairs from the routine checkup at a dealership. The technician at Stay On looked at my car and told me my car is actually in good shape! The dealership was too sensitive for minor stuff and the technician here doesn t think repair was needed at all. They gave honest opinion rather than just trying to make money.

They are AMAZING!!! Fast service, super friendly AND they're Smart Car friendly!!!! I needed a tire for my 2013 Smart car Fortwo and they were THE ONLY ONES that could get it for me and put it on. They also did some engine work on it, when others didn't even want to bother looking at it. Which saved me at least $4k compared to other dealers that did quote me on what I "needed" done!!! Highly recommend going here. They'll tell you what you actually need done, fix it and still be very cost effective!! No rip offs here. Very trustworthy and reliable. I'm definitely coming back! The murals in their office are pretty cool too! Thanks again Lulu!

Stay on Auto is a great asset to the community. Brought my car in to get my brakes done. They were fast, honest and have fair prices. The reviews are CORRECT! These guys are GREAT! This was my first time leaving my car here for an oil change and tire rotation. They had it done in a few hours and the pricing is beyond reasonable! I highly recommend if you're looking for a shop in Bridgeport. The staff is incredible and welcoming! I will for sure be a returning customer :)Services: Tires, Oil change

Our 2011 Kia Sorento had a check engine light that had been bugging us for the last couple of years. Almost every month from Oct 2021 to Aug 2022, we had taken it to the Kia dealership in Berwyn, IL, and experienced a lack of communication, long wait times, and many diagnoses to replacing unnecessary parts. Our last straw for them was when we were told our final two options are to replace our ---plastic--- tank for $2000 because of a hairline crack that couldn't be seen or buy a new car from the dealership (big shocker there). We were nothing more than a transaction to Kia Berwyn.We collected our car, said we would "think" about those options, and asked close friends from church where they went. Everyone we had asked all highly recommended Stay On Auto without any hesitation. We made an appointment with Lulu, got to speak with Jay, and through their tireless efforts were able to figure out it was our alternate fuel pump. It was 10+ appointments of guesswork at the dealership vs a couple of smoke tests and the right set of eyes at Stay On Auto.From the direct communication, flexible scheduling, educational explanations and demonstrations, dog-friendly waiting space, and the smiles on their face it was a night and day difference from how we have been treated in the past.If you are looking for a mechanic shop that does not fall under the 99% of places that you can't trust, Stay On Auto is where I recommended you call home. Very accommodating spot. They are very honest when it comes to the work they need to do on your car. That's hard to find these days. I would recommend.At this time, I have received several repairs on my car. I can't say enough good things about this spot. Pricing is always reasonable, repairs are usually fast (depends on the work you need done), everyone is very friendly and nice, and my car couldn't be happier. Great local auto spot!I ve taken my car here a few times now & these guys have been great. Really accommodating, very professional & pretty quick to identify the issue (they know their stuff). And they ve always been quick turning around & getting my car back to me, even on a busy day. They are also priced really well, for the excellent work they do....Point is, if you need something done on your car & looking for something reputable in the neighborhood, Stay On is your spot!

I struck a pothole on my way to work and my driver side tire blew out. Lulu at the desk was extremely informative and very helpful. I wasn't able to leave my vehicle due to it was end of business day nor was I able to come back the following day to pick up a wheel as I live very far away from this shop. She asked if she could recommend some tire shops near my house. I decided to try Stay On Auto based off it's Google reviews. The experience here was nothing short of their deserved rating. 10/10 recommend!Service: Tires

Great place and great people!! I highly recommend this place if you need anything done with your vehicle! Lulu was very professional and nice. She will take care of you and stay in touch with you with all updates. The mechanics walked me through what was wrong and showed me in detail with what exactly was wrong with my car. Even with a full lot of cars, they finished fixing my vehicle on time like they said they would. Definitely coming back!

My sister normally stops by monthly at Dave s Auto Shop to get her oil changed. But since she s on vacation, and Dave s Shop closed for the holidays, the car was overdue, so I stopped by Stay On Autoshop for the first time. They charge about the same, and takes credit/debit cards, which is a huge plus, as I no longer carry cash on a daily basis.Their service is super speedy. Not only that, they did a complimentary inspection for my sister s car. They are super friendly and personable, especially Lulu and Jay.I write this review, because they are extremely pet friendly. They allowed my 100+ lbs German shepherd sit in the waiting area with me. Not only that, they gave treats and pets. You can never go wrong with serious pet lovers! We actually became friends, and their German Shepherd, Loki, and my dog, Zeus, had a play date this afternoon! Service: Oil change

I have been going to Stay On for years . Working at the school next door made easy for oil changes. But getting a fair price and great service made it even better. Jay is very honest and does not talk you into what is not needed. Stephanie runs the office and has more knowledge about cars than most mechanics. My vehicle has over 220k miles and they keep it running for me .

Edit for 2020: their service was great and price was reasonable. new receptionist (Lulu) is very kind and is very good at communication. she would ask the mechanic for things she does not know the answer to.Also one of the most legit Repair shops in the Bridgeport and Chinatown area. They have very good prices for the work they do. And the pro is that they take appointments. I took my girlfriend's 2004 Toyota corolla here multiple times for oil change to fluid flushes to all 4 struts getting replaced with new struts and also front endlings getting installed.

I have been here several times now and I m so impressed! As a transplant, it took me a while to find a trusted auto shop where I didn t feel like I was being ripped off. The folks here are super accommodating, honest, and reasonably priced. As a woman, I soooo appreciate Lulu at the front desk explaining things without over complicated everything. She s always been so helpful and sweet. Friendly, fair, trustworthy. I've had fairly basic work done here (oil changes, tire rotations, muffler replacement) and have been very satisfied. Appreciate their willingness to be flexible - getting me in immediately for an oil change at 4 pm, letting me leave the car over the weekend while out of town. Highly recommended.

Went to this shop for fixing our car's exterior, the mechanic quoted for $600 and ended up charging for TRIPLE the quote. We are not happy with this- they ordered the wrong parts and continued to delay our service. We did not have our car for WEEKS and were not able to function. When we complained, they forced us to pay for the upcharge by witholding our vehicle even though it was not what the quote originally was given to us by their team and we were not consulted on the additional uncharge. The worst part of it all is that they didn't keep true to their word and took advantage of an unfortunate situation. I do not recommend them for any repairs and maintenance and will not be visiting this service again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is by far the most honest mechanics place I've been to. They are busy so it's worth scheduling in advance when possible, they are clear on estimates, and labor, and any potential changes needed. I highly recommend them.
