Excellent communication, very responsive, and top notch customer service! ! I was in search of a shock for my Ruckus. They didn t have it in stock but the owner made some calls, communicated with me several times throughout the week, and found one. He shipped it out promptly and followed up to confirm it was delivered.I can t recommend them enough! Thank you!

Worst customer service ever. 2 to 3 day wait on response for returning mirror that came incomplete with no nut. When I installed it with my own nut and the bolt broke, that s why it never came with one. I try to support American businesses . I sent pictures and still waiting for someone to resolve my issue and get an RMA #. Will not use them again.

I purchases a clutch and some rollers, the package was damaged and delivered empty by USPS. I waited on hold with the local post office for 23 minutes till they disconnected the call. I then called Scooterworks and left a voicemail to see if there was a route I needed to take to try and get my products. Within 30 minutes they (Mike G.) reached out to me, verified that the items were lost in transit (not the fault of scooterworks) and had new parts ready to ship out and a tracking number for this delivery. I was surprised at the speed and ease of this correction of a mishap to make a customer happy. It is great to see that there are still companies out there that still strive for customer satisfaction.

I should ve written this glowing review earlier, but I was occupied with zipping all over town on my new scooter! These guys are awesome - knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and down to earth - everything that you always hope to find in a business, but rarely do. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff, with the selection of scooters (and electric bikes!) and accessories for scooters, and don t even get me started on how much fun the actual scooter is! I cannot recommend them enough, all around just a great experience here. Thank y all so much!!

Scooterworks is my local go-to establishment.UPDATED, new management has improved showroom, service and sales. CV19 has boosted sales. Thanks to SW for help in sponsoring Slaughterhouse (Slaughterhouse is a 3 day Scooter event), the largest and most popular Labor Day scooter event in the United States.Parts department been helpful with finding the correct light bulb, maintenance parts.Today I needed service; a tire replacement. Work was done good, fast and cheap. They do have an offsite Chicago warehouse and can get most everything quickly on SW website, with no additional shipping cost. The sales department is really nice. No problem getting a test ride. Monthly dealer Fun Rides are still great!!I ordered some parts for my Yamaha Zuma from the parts department, although SW is an authorized Genuine dealer. The turnaround time was less than 24 hours. The exhaust system and anodized aluminum accessories were from their website, Scooterworks USA. Other GY6 model parts available. So far, I'm totally satisfied. I like buying local.Earlier this summer I went on a couple of dealer rides sponsored by SWrks. I won a T-Shirt, hat and was gifted a really nice SW tee- for full disclosure...Guys bathroom OK s bit rustic with a grade of C-. Gals a bit better as a B-.I was happy with all my experiences and will be going back.

Do you see all the good reviews this place is getting? They are totally deserved. I had such a great experience there. So I'm a first time Scooter buyer. Actually, I was a first time scooter rider! I went into Scooterworks after having done a little research and not quite being sure about anything. They were actually out of what I came in to look at, but they took lots of time talking about my options, what the differences were between them and just generally being great. Never once did I feel pressured. In fact, they actually suggested another shop that would have something comparable to the model I was first looking at. I ended up leaving without buying anything, but chewing on a good deal of information. The next day, I went back, as I had decided to get something different. I ended up talking to a different employee who was also amazing. He was incredibly patient and happy to answer all of my questions and give his honest opinion on things. I certainly learned a lot more just from the shopping. When I finally decided on a Scooter, they worked hard to get it prepped so I could drive it out of there that day before an oncoming storm. The mechanic spent a good deal of time going over the operation and how to do some maintenance on it. He was so incredibly helpful.Honestly, they're just a good bunch of folks. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had an experience this good in any store. They were genuine (see what I did there?), helpful, and incredibly competent. I look forward to brining my scooter in for it's first service!

Awesome place and awesome people! Meridee taught my wife how to ride before we purchased. She went above and beyond with her instruction. The showroom is spectacular with so many options to choose from.We left with a Buddy 50cc and will be going back next month to purchase a second. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

We are first time scooter riders and came in to see what options were available. Ken was amazing to work with. He showed us all options, explaining the differences in weight, speed, engine type, etc. He then gave my wife a riding lesson and we were sold. Great experience and we are looking forward to riding the scooter.

I brought my Stella 125cc scooter in because it had many issues. Accelerator/throttle was real erratic, the back tire was loose and the frame had issues to make it really unsafe to drive. Nate was the mechanic and was awesome. Everything he said that was wrong, he fixed and now the scooter works fantastic. Nate is extremely knowledgeful and a very kind person. They really couldn't have a better person working there than Nate. I am so happy on how well the scooter drives now and the price of the repair was extremely reasonable. They are always very kind in there and a joy to talk to. I would give them a 10 out of a 10 but it's only a scale on a five so I give them a five out of five. This is the only place that I will take my scooters and has been for over 15 years. There was many issues with my Stella 125cc and they were all resolved in one day. Incredibly fast and gracious. Extremely happy with this place and their whole staff. Would suggest no other place to go to other than here at Scooterworks.

This is a bit of a delay... But my husband and I walked into this scooter store knowing we wanted a moped but weren't sure if we would walk out with one. Well, we did walk out with a moped and felt extremely thankful we walked in there and had such a fantastic experience with Ken and, quite honestly, every other person in the shop. I cannot say enough that if you are looking to look or ready to buy, definitely check out Scooterworks!!!Thanks, guys <3

Very helpful and easy to work with both over the phone and in person. They have a really easy text feature which is really nice as well. I went in for a tune up on my Vespa and they had me in and out in about 1.5 hours. They also took care of me as a walk in which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend their services to others.**updated 11/19/2020The shop guys are also great. I called in and asked some questions and I never felt like I was pressured into coming in... they honestly want to help. The follow up call I had today solidified my loyalty to Scooter works.

This place has the best service I've ever experienced. I've ridden bikes since I was a teenager and have tried (and failed) to restore some a few times. When I contacted ScootWorks for help on an older Genuine Stella I was restoring, Ken was so knowledgeable and helpful. He got me everything I asked for and even pointed out a few things I missed that I DEFINITELY needed. I wouldn't have a running bike without him and his expertise. Thanks again for all the help!! I'll be coming to yoi for everything from now on.

I've never enjoyed buying something as much as I did when I purchased my new scooter from these awesome guys. Ken took such good care of us even when they were slammed with guests. He took the time to make sure we were happy with our selection and went over operating and handling the bike once it was ready to go. They've made clients for life out of us. Can't recommend them enough.

From Sales to Service, these 'guys' are great! I went to Scooterworks just to browse, knowing I wanted a bike but hadn't decided on make/model/color. I had just taken a riding class so I didn't have a lot of exposure. Kevin Golden helped educate me, but also gave me the time and space to find something I loved. I also briefly interacted with Ken and it's evident the whole team is made up of passionate, knowledgeable, and kind folks!

I wish I could rate something higher than five stars. This is the place to go, no matter what your need. I have gone to the shop for over 20 years and now have a true understanding of the ownership and management and the value they bestow upon their own business. I'm lucky enough now to call some of the people my friends and will not hesitate to give them any and all of my future scooter business. The manager, Ken, is the type of man you don't come across too often. He recently was able to donate multiple scooters to my school's automotive program for students to train on which will become an invaluable experience for both of them and myself. Additionally, his kindness, knowledge, and understanding knows no bounds. If you are in the area, or not, this is the one and only vintage and modern scooter place that you want to do business with.

Scooterworks did a great job repairing my Vespa small frame. They were super nice and informative they also showed me the old parts that were replaced which I appreciated. I am glad that scooter works went back to working on the old bikes. It s hard to find a place that wants to take them on. Thanks again guys for your great service and your help with keeping the old scooters alive.

I purchased my Genuine Buddy and my partner also bought one here 4 years ago and had it serviced regularly. About a year ago I started having issues with my Buddy dying at a stop. Every time I d stop, the engine would die. I took it in for a tuneup and that didn t fix the issue. I took it back and asked them to fix the issue. They always seemed confused and unsure of what to do. The manager of the service department told me that I had too many miles on the bike (15,000 at that point) and would need an engine rebuild.Somehow that didn t sound quite right. I disputed his suggestion and in return he asked me if I knew anything about engines! I can t say that I know a lot, but having to rebuild the engine at 15,000 miles doesn t sound like a very reliable vehicle if that s what I will have to do every 15,000 miles.I left and continued to drive holding the break with one hand and throttle in the other for months.I took the bike to Second City Scooters and got an oil change and complained about the engine dying every time I stopped. Vince suggested a tuneup. I came back for a tuneup and as I m going to get a coffee, he calls and said that I am in need of a valve adjustment. He does the valve adjustment and voila! No more dying at a stop. I since have traded the bike in for a much bigger bike and I didn t trade it in at Scooterworks! If that s how they treat their customers, I m not going to be one of theirs. No thank you!

These guys are pretty good at selling scooters at the right prices and then charging crazy prices for maintenance and repair. They know that they are the only scooter place in the area so anyone who buys from them will have to keep coming back. So basically, they can charge any price they feel like while professionally having the knowledge that you are stuck with them! Enjoy your scooter purchase... at your own risk.

The staff at Scooterworks is very friendly and really helpful. I went on a Saturday and the place was very busy. I had some questions and was looking at different scooters. They moved stuff around for me to check out each scooter and even test drive both of them. Even with them being swamped with people they never made me feel like I was being a bother, and made sure my needs were being met. Never once did I feel pressure to make a decision on buying, they were really relaxed and wanted me to make sure I made a decision that best suited my needs. I really enjoyed my first time buying experience at Scooterworks and will be back for service in the future.

Brought my 50cc scooter in for a tune up and was told they would call when it was ready, probably by the weekend (3 days away) and then never heard from them for 1 1/2 weeks. Meanwhile, it s my only form of transportation to the hospital I work at, and had to spend over $150 on transportation to and from during the time the scooter was gone. When I finally called to check in, they let me know that they completely forgot to call me and the scooter had been sitting ready to go. I was clearly frustrated when picking up the scooter, and they acted as if they could care less and didn t compensate for any money I lost due to their own mistake. I haven t had great experiences with their service department in the past, but this is a new low. I will never be using this business again.

I brought my Stella in for new tires and an oil change. I discovered an issue with the repair shortly after picking up my bike. I brought it back in and they immediately made sure they fixed everything to my standards. The owner genuinely cared about the issue and made sure it was right. Will return for future service.

Scooterworks is the most wonderful place. I bought my scooter from them 8 years ago and I have gone to them for every single thing since then that I have needed. They have pulled through and exceeded my expectations every time, from the multiple times it s gotten knocked over, fixing a terrible pothole damage that I thought was going to total the bike, and every oil change and tune up.In addition, my scooter was stolen last summer (2020). I was devastated because of the obvious circumstances, somehow found the scooter myself, and got it towed to scooterworks. They started working on it immediately and were able to find my parts and fix it up in the most cost efficient and high quality manner. Then they were so happy for me to call me back up and tell me it was finished. I was so unbelievably happy when I came to pick it up and it was good as new. They are so kind and informative and always are patient with questions. Since I have been going here for 8 years, I ve seen some different employees and I have felt this way about every one of them. This is a long, long overdue review. I rave about scooterworks to everyone and will continue to do so. THANK YOU SCOOTERWORKS!

Great experience buying my first motorcycle (g400c) with Josh at Scooterworks! He was super helpful, answered all of my questions, and very patient. He let me take the bike for a spin and the rest is history! They even offered to store it until spring! Highly recommend getting a bike at Scooterworks!

Used to get my Honda elite 250 serviced here and they did a great job previously. Got a flat last week and brought my scooter here to get it replaced and also prepped for the season. They decided nothing needed to be done and I drove home with just a new rear tire. During my ride home I noticed the scooter rode different and I smelled gasoline and later realized I had a major leak. Eager to get fixed and ride again I called to see if they could take a look at it, but the technician was just very defensive about it. They also informed me after calling them that they will not service my bike anymore since it is vintage.

Simply the most convenient and straight forward service ever. Rode in my Vespa Sprint and they started the service on the spot. One hr later (and a jigsaw puzzle game in the guest lounge) I was outta there with a smile on my face. Josh even let me clean the bike after a hard Chicago winters build up. Friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
