I went into this business not expecting to be helped because I had called and gone to other places and they could not figure out what was going on with my remote starter. The owner asked me to tell him everything that was going on, while I spoke he listened exactly to what I said. He wasn't trying to help me tell my story, like those other places, he actuallylistened to me! He did some troubleshooting and before I knew it, he connected my fob to my car doors and remote starter! The owner was very knowledgeable about car alarms, connectivity, patient and very professional. And his prices are reasonabler! I highly recommend this business!!!! Thank you very much for being a black owned business in our neighborhood!!!

S&S installed my alarm with an automatic start on my car 11 years ago when I bought it brand new. Everything still works and when I encounter problems with the remote they are always available to troubleshoot and solve any issues. I highly recommend this small business, impeccable service!!!

Lost my remote(s) both of them. I had no clue as to what brand of alarm/wireless entry system/ I owned. Thought I would have to install an entirely new system but one sharp gentleman at this establishment asked me a few questions and immediately got busy narrowing down the identity of my system. He told me to go online and look through pictures of remotes and find mine. IT WORKED! He took a remote I found online and programmed it in 5 minutes. I was impressed. Reasonable rates and excellent, friendly service. What more can you ask for? Give Safe and Sound a try.

I had an appointment for 9am and I was late. The technician was very nice and fixed my remote in less than 5 minutes. I recommend Safe and Sound Mobile to anybody who wants a professional to do the job promptly and properly. Job well done!!!!

Steve was so helpful! I came in for an alarm and automatic start, and he not only had good conversation, he was very knowledgeable about my the products. Definitely recommend!

I ve been rocking with Steve since 1993. I was a junior in high school and bought a Pioneer pullout from the swap. He installed it in my first car, a 1983 Mercury Cougar. You couldn t tell me nothing after that. He s worked on many of my cars since. Thanks for providing great service to the community for almost 30 years.

This review is long overdue due to the fact that I've been a satisfied customer of Safe and Sound for about 10 years now. I want to say that Safe and Sound is THE place to go for anything from car audio to security as they provide you with the latest in mobile electronics and security with the knowledge and professionalism that you would come to expect from a well established business. When it comes to the customer, Steve knows how to satisfy his or her needs while also taking in consideration their budget. Mobile electronics and services can get a bit expensive in general depending on a person's needs and taste, which should be of no surprise, but Steve will never try and oversell products or services nor will he ever try and force you out of your comfort level of spending. Honesty is the best policy and Safe and Sound is as straightforward with their customers as can be which is commendable especially in the market of mobile electronics.As a person who has had equipment such as audio systems, LED headlights, alarms, and remote starters installed in previous and current vehicles, I can attest to Safe and Sound's superb quality of work. Over the years, I have seen them successfully complete all types of jobs with many different vehicles from Corvettes to Jeeps, most of which requires different products and installation methods per vehicle to complete. If you hear the name Rafael and installation in the same sentence in regards to your vehicle, you can rest assured that your vehicle will be in great hands. Rafael is very delicate and professional when it comes to installation jobs, which includes the process of disassembling and reassembling vehicles. Also, it is amazing how much on-hand knowledge he has when dealing with vehicles and products where others would need a manual in their back pockets to quickly refer to.I would suggest for anyone looking for a reliable place for mobile electronic upgrades in the Chicago area to visit Safe and Sound. While you are there, also inquire about their appointment scheduling and warranty coverage as they will be glad to explain to you how your time is valued and how your vehicle investments will be protected.

My man at Safe & Sound hooked it up for real. My car is pretty old and has definitely seen better days. It didn't have any kind of power to the radio piece for the better part of a year. Driving was pretty miserable - no music, no handsfree, no nothing. I thought it was a wiring issue. Took it here on a family member's recommendation and was not disappointed.Steve looked at it and came back a few minutes later, said the radio piece was just plain dead but all the wiring hookups were good. I drove up the street to Walmart, bought a (slightly) better radio, brought it back and he put it in hella fast. I don't think we spent more than 35 minutes altogether in the waiting area.Unfortunately, sound systems are scarce at this point in time - not just here, but everywhere due to supply chain issues. He does great work here, though. Make no mistake. Bring in every vehicle you have here and you will get top-notch installation + setup service. 10/10

I found this place on Google after a terrible experience with Best Buy's Geek Squad. The service here was fast and friendly. The installation of my radio was $50. I didn't need an appointment. And everything worked perfectly from the moment I got in the car. Also the installation is warranteed for life. I recommend this place and I'll definitely go back for future work.

Cool place for car accessories and sounds. It is extremely hard to notice on the main street. Steve was very knowledgeable about the products and installation. I will definitely go here again.

Steve and the crew are great! Prices can be a tad high, but u get what u pay 4 and I have used their alarms on 4 out of 5 of my last vehicles with no complaints!

I wish I would have went there first. I wanted somewhere else and they did a bad job. Thank God for safe and sound car alarm place because they fixed the problem. Their prices are very reasonable and they know what they're doing.

Been giving Steve my business since 1994. Never dissappointed. Whenever there is an issue it is taken care of.I strayed once and was totally pissed. Went back to Steve to get it done right!

The workers are rude! They try to sell you the most expensive products! I took my car to get my sounds put in, and while I waited I never got an update of when they were gonna finish. I ended up waiting five hours. And as customers were coming in to shop and ask questions, the worker was rude to them and acting like they were dumb because they didn't know too much about cars. I don't like when black people are disrespectful to their own kind

Steve is very patient and knolledgeable . All you have to do is explain to him the type of alarm or radio you want for your American or foreign vehicle, and he will do the rest. I do highly recommend him.

Hello Car Audio world!! I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this if these guys didn't know what they're doin'!!! I was originally going to let J & J Electronics install my system for me but, the reviews that both 74th & 63rd st. had turned me completely off to wanting to spend my money with them. Simply put: BAD REVIEWS! I've passed 317 w. 79th for years not knowing how good these guys really are. I drive a VERY CLEAN 1992 Chrysler New Yorker Salon. THE CLEANEST IN CHICAGO if not the world. Not even 40,000 miles yet, garage kept & my great-grandmother was the only and orignal owner before she died in 2010. Saying all that to say, I needed some music. I went an entire year without music. I even tried to put a home subwoofer in the trunk just to vibe to my ride. Didn't cut it! DON'T GET ME WRONG THOUGH! It sounded good, just not loud enough. So, I came up on a little money and decided to check these professionals out. GREAT CHOICE!!!!!!! I'm running 3 12 inch Pioneers Champions on a Brutus 1100 watt amp, Pioneer head unit and coaxials. And I just purchased a Yellow Top Optima battery. They did a REALLY CLEAN & PROFESSIONAL JOB FOR ME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK THESE GUYS OUT. They're fast and VERY HONEST. I got a 1 ohm load and I've hit @ least 10 Hz without the bass knob up. 317 w. 79st. You'll be pleased, I GUARANTEE IT - George Foreman voice, lol!!!!!

Steve answered ALL my questions an very knowledgeable....i will be returning with the second vechile for a remote starter...Thank you again..
