Got into a minor fender bender which in this case turned into blessing. People at Crash Champions (also great) recommended Nate & Al and I am so thankful. They are competent, friendly, reasonably priced, and go the extra mile. They did a complete overhaul on a 2010 Subaru Impreza and 2008 Jeep Commander and both are running like new.The Commander initially was diagnosed by the dealership with a transmission issue multiple times. We went to Nate and Al to get a second opinion and turns out it was the car computer/wiring which they fixed.The communication is amazing and they utilize tech to full advantage. They provided a digital inventory complete with pictures of the work that needed to be done which I thought was great. Auto text and emails in addition to phone updates make communication easy.Glad to have a regular mechanic who you can count on. They are close to a car rental company and have discounts so it makes it easy depending on how long you have to leave the car.

This is the 1st time I have needed a repair on our 2010 Volvo XC70 that we purchased in March. Nate was so easy to talk with when I called, knowledgeable, and confidence-inspiring. I knew right away I had found a great mechanic; someone I could trust to fix my car and not take advantage of me when I brought it in. Meeting and talking with him in person just solidified my initial feelings. The problem that needed fixing was fairly small; my car ran only OK before he worked on it, and it ran great after he finished! Although the shop was small, the setup was great, and he had the latest equipment to work on my car. Rockwell Auto Clinic is definitely now my go-to shop and I look forward to having a long relationship with them. I couldn't recommend them any higher!This is the 2nd time I have taken my 2010 Volvo XC70 to Rockwell Auto Clinic. Nate really knows his "stuff" about car repairs and explains what is causing any problems with your car very clearly. I took my car in for an oil change, and tire rotation (the front tires were slightly worn on the edges because of turning during normal driving).The most amazing thing was after I asked him about the car's Auto Climate air conditioning, which seemed to be a little weak and on the warm side. After diagnosing that complaint, he determined that the cabin air filter needed replacing. The air conditioning worked so well that after replacing the filter we had to turn the thermostat higher because it was so cold. If you need a car repair, I cannot recommend Rockwell Auto Clinic highly enough!I will definitely be back for any further repairs that are needed.Service: Auto maintenance

It's hard to find a shop that can replace an airbag sensor. These guys did the job faster than I expected and at a reasonable price. They're also really nice guys and easy to deal with. Don't take your car to an auto dealer---take it to these guys instead!

Nate was an absolute GODSEND to my husband and me today we were up in Chicago for this extremely cold weekend to visit our son, parked the car for the whole weekend since we found a great parking spot, and when we packed to leave today had engine trouble. Most garages are closed on Sunday but Nate still reached out after getting my distress call, and not only diagnosed our problem but sent us to Autozone to pick up some Diesel 911 (we are new to diesel) because he was sure our gas/oil had gummed up due to this unbelievably cold weather. And he was correct!Nate literally texted me on and off for three hours, and walked us through what we found. And now, thanks to him, we re back on the road home to Nashville. Rather than being stranded for another night + hotel fees. And he did this for us unpaid, on his day off, out of the goodness of his heart. I wouldn t take my car anywhere else if I lived in Chicago, for this level of care and service. It s almost unseen these days and Nate renewed my faith in humanity. I can t wait to meet him personally next time we visit our son, so I can thank him personally. THANK YOU, Nate!!!!! May the road always rise to meet you!

Review by First-Time CustomerNate and team at Rockwell Auto Clinic saved my car from being junked/salvaged:Dealer had my car for weeks trying to source a part. Repair estimate was $1,300. Dealer ultimately advised me that the part could not be located at any of its approved sources and that it was discontinued by the manufacturer. For a second opinion, I had it towed to Rockwell Auto. Rockwell advised me that dealer misdiagnosed the car. Rockwell diagnosed it correctly and made the repair for approx. $250 the same day of the tow!To Nate, Al and team, thank you!Services: Electrical repair, Vehicle Inspection

After receiving an inspection and an astronomical quote for brake repairs and tire replacements from a DIFFERENT auto repair shop, I decided to reach out to Rockwell Auto Clinic to get a second opinion, and I am SO HAPPY that I did! Nate from Rockwell Auto Clinic was easy to chat with over Yelp, fully understood the repairs I was requesting, and helped me understand the potential costs before I dropped my car off. Their location was easy to find with the map images they posted on Google and Yelp, and they kept me in-the-loop every step of the way. The final cost ended up being over 40% cheaper than the other vendor's quote, so I was floored! Not only did they do a great job with what I requested, but they gave my car a nice wash and even fixed a nagging sound in my trunk that no other mechanic could find! This was hands down one of the best experiences I've had with an auto shop. I had a piece of plastic hanging off my front bumper and was quoted around $200 to replace it from another shop. Nate was super friendly and took 10 minutes to reattach it for me. I would recommend Rockwell Auto to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic in Chicagoland, and I will definitely be returning.

Rockwell Auto Clinic is a hidden gem. They're communicative, offering great service at a very reasonable cost.I have a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS with low miles. It was stolen years back. Crash Champions did the initial body & mechanic work, but the vehicle needed a lot of "wear and tear" repairs due to its old age. So I brought it to Rockwell Auto Clinic.Nate called me for a consultation. He looked the car over from top to bottom, letting me know what the car needed to be "road worthy."The Impala needed an extensive amount of work done. Nate made sure to check in with me, just to keep me in the loop. Their quality of work is unmatched. Had to have our 2001 Honda Civic serviced for a tune up, front end suspension work, and general maintenance recently so I of course took it in to Nate and the guys at Rockwell Auto Clinic. I reside around the Midway area and decided to take the drive up to Albany Park up north seeing how I know I can wholeheartedly trust the guys here to not only take care of my vehicles but because they run an honest business which is difficult to find these days. I took my 2016 Audi Q5 to Rockwell Auto Clinic for a full 35,000 mile inspection and could not be more pleased with the customer service and the thoroughness of the inspection. The lead mechanic, Alfredo is very knowledgeable in the trade and I trust my Audi in his hands. Nate, the service manger is also very knowledgeable and explained in detail all the work that went into my vehicle. The auto shop is clean and well kept which gives you a sense of security.I appreciate the digital communication system they have for scheduling appointments and invoice management. It s convenient for customers to have that info at our finger tips! You need an auto shop that you trust and Rockwell Auto Clinic is the place for that! I initially took my car to Rockwell Auto Clinic because I heard a noise from the front end every time I drove over a bump or hole. The mechanics, Alfredo and Nate, called me right away after they fully inspected my vehicle with a detailed prognosis. Shortly after speaking with them, I received a text with a link that included an estimate. Not only was the information in my detailed estimate easily accessible (even to this day) but they also provided rental car arrangements with Enterprise while they had my car in their possession! Not only that, but they provide a complimentary exterior car wash with auto services!Elaborate, friendly service. Thorough and honest. Trustworthy and affordable. 10/10 service. Called because I was having rattling noises in my 2013 beetle, they got me a full overview of what was wrong with my car and what was still good. Repairs were right in the ball park of what I expected to pay, and they used euro spec parts. Repairs ended up taking slightly longer than estimated but wasn t a big deal. I was compensated for the Ubers I had to use while the car was being fixed. They even washed it when they were done! Great service again 10/10 coming here for everything from now on.

Fast, simple process . My check engine light went on and they immediately were ready to diagnose the situation right away. They fixed it the same day I dropped my car off. Great, friendly customer service with a reasonable and affordable price. Would recommend.

Simply outstanding. Nate is great to work with and a mechanic you can trust completely. Will continue to bring my cars here and am very grateful they have re-opened with new management. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

This shop is awesome I highly recommend this spot to everyone in the area and outside the area if you re looking for good people with experience This is your place. Definitely gives off very good vibes. Not like those other mechanics that are just after a buck this is a place where you re going to feel very welcomed and comfortable . As to my testimony on a rainy day, my windshield wipers decided to stop working as I was strapped for cash. Jetting around Google searching for reliable mechanics , I stumbled upon Rockwell auto clinic. Gave them a call and Nate helped me over the phone right away and asked me to come in so he can check out the problem. Less than an hour later I m back on the road wipers functioning. Thanks again guys will be back soon.

Have to say what amazing bunch of guys. Very professional, can out to my place to see what was wrong. Advised me that the problem I was having was correct. Did a amazing job on tell me what was wrong with pictures and videos. Confirming what to fix and got it done in record time.
