I found this place about 5 years ago just by Google and its location, because I was desperate for something nearby. I am SO glad I did. This is not a chain or corporate company so you know the owner cares and shows it. They will never rip you off and you are informed of everything beforehand, no surprises. Especially as a woman dealing with these types of things, we feel sometimes taken advantage of and this place never has made me feel any of that. I know, always, my car is in GREAT hands here. I always recommend them and will always recommend them.

Ra�l is amazing! I have a food truck and was recommended to him by a friend. He was fast quick and very honest with the repair. It is reasonable price and I definitely recommend his shop! Everytime I have any issues with my 02 corolla or 12 mazda 5, I know that Raul's Service got me covered. Raul Jr has done an outstanding job keeping both of my cars maintained and on the road. I continue to tell all my family and friends about them, as there is no other place I would recommend and trust. I will continue to get my vehicles serviced here! Thank you!!

Don t go here. They ripped me out of $300 a few years ago to replace a part. And after my gas tank meter wouldn t read. And then they said it d be another $400 to fix that after it was working before. This place is a scam and I ll never forget that this happened to me.

Raul Sr and Jr have been taking care of not only my cars but my family's cars for 8 years now! They are super honest, clearly articulate the problem and solution, and most of all, they do it in a professional and timely manner.10/10 Recommend

I have struggled to find a trustworthy mechanic in Chicago, but in the two-ish years that I've brought my car to Raul's, I have never felt like they were "taking me for a ride." The work has been reasonably priced, and I don't get the sense that I'm being lied to or upsold. Very rarely do they find "something wrong" that feels suspicious to me, and the quality of work has always been high. I recommend them.

This place is the best! I've used this shop twice already and each time I was really amazed by the care and time they put into the work they do. If you come here you have to have Raul work on your vehicle! He's a wizard at what he does and is very informative and knowledgeable! I highly recommend this place for the great service and fair prices. I will definitely be coming back when my car needs more repairs!

Last year in Jan./2020. I took my car there to be repaired. A coil, tune-up and the muffler. I was charged over $500. After driving the car for a couple of days; I had to take the car back. The owner told me that there was a leak from the gasket of the engine and that it would cost me over $700. I had the same problem the year before of which I was being charged $90. It was no way I was going to pay an extra $700 for work that wasn't done of which I found out later when I had to take the car to another mechanic. The barber next door and my insurance company warned me about this criminal shop. I didn't listen to them, listen to me. "Don't take your car there", boycott it as if it was the plague. This place should be shut down and the owners run out if town.

Graet place to to for honest prices and service. They have fix my cars for the past 10 years. I have nothing negative to say. They are on top of their game. One day I had to get my car fix and need to get to an important meeting one of the employee offer to take and pick me up. They went out of their way for me. That is not only rare but greatly appreciated.

Chose them based on Yelp reviews.Got my car right in and so far seemed to have been honest and done a good job. They also fixed it in less than a day.Finding a mechanic you can trust is hard and they re on their way to that for me!

Updated from 2 stars to 4 stars, because i do not wish to harm the business reputation any longer, but my story remains unchanged: Arrive armed with knowledge of your car and of what you need done before they give you a quote!!! Really wanted this place to be honest, but was let down. Will never be spending money here again.My family astro van wasn't starting, i had it towed to Raul's. I had suspected it was an ignition/spark issue, and replaced the cap & rotor on my own, but it didn't fix it. the most cumbersome part is gaining access to the ignition parts through the cabin of the van by removing the "doghouse". I brought them the van with the doghouse removed. I wanted them to determine whether the issue was indeed spark related, or perhaps a bad fuel pump or filter.i get a call that night saying that the fuel system is fine, and to check my text messages for a quote [screenshots]. they recommended a coil, spark plug and plug wire replacement all around. the labor prices quoted were outrageous. The posted labor rate in their shop is 100/hour. when i went back in that night to discuss the quote and find an explanation, i was told that by the book, the plugs are billed as 1.5 hours, the wires are 1.5 hours and the coil is 1.5 hours to replace. but that is straight up dishonest mechanic scam tactics, trying to triple charge for one job. all of those parts are connected and are in the same place. it takes literally 10 more minutes to change the plug wires if you change all of the spark plugs. the coil is changed with 2 screws and swapping 2 electrical connections. furthermore, i gave them the van with the parts exposed, and instructed from the start that I wanted them to return the van to me the same way I gave it to them... didn't need them to re-assemble the interior of the van at all. i was told that they would talk with the owner and let me know in the morning.in the morning, i was told they could change the 6 spark plugs with my provided parts for $280. still too much. I went in to discuss with the owner and he finally offered to do it for $200 (2 hours of billed labor), which seemed okay, with the diagnosis and the plug change. I have my van back with new plugs and wires, and the quality of the work is acceptable. all wires are clipped back in where they belong. so there is that.the fact that they initially quoted $450 and then, after being pressured with the facts, settled on $200 is telling. Had i not been educated about my own vehicle, I might have trusted them that their original quote was a fair, appropriate, and honest figure, when in fact it was not. the employee even tried to defend the figure initially by giving bogus logic about how each job needs to be priced @ a certain number of hours, knowing full well that the total job he was quoting would take less than an hour for an experienced mechanic with the proper tools and environment.i am happy to pay honest people a premium for honest work, and even overpay in situations where i feel that honest people are undervaluing their services. this was the total opposite.beware.

Good afternoon to the friends and family at Raul's Auto Shop. I would like to rewrite my comment from months ago and apologize to the staff at hand and Raul himself. After my remark they worked on my car at no charge and corrected what was wrong with it. I am truly grateful and thankful for their work. Keep bringing your cars to them. Rauls repair service is a good shop they are definitely not alley mechanics they take time to diagnose your auto problem with your vehicle I brought my Nissan Rogue in and they worked with the warranty company to put in a new transmission but the transmission failed after 3 months which was not any fault of Rauls that was Nissan on Kedzie fault but I brought in another car recently which an alley mechanic put in a thermostat in my car but caused A leak because he did not put a new Oring with the thermostat he used the same Oring which is a No no how Rauls repair explained it to me clearly.....Rauls auto found the leak and fixed my overheating problem yeah it was a long wait but they fixed it and price is not cheap but they get the dam job done so I appreciate this auto shop they will get the job doneService: Auto water leak repair

I took my car to a different mechanic today for a routine oil change. They called me over to look at my tie rods. One side was loose and it was recommended that I repair it. Here's the thing. I, supposedly, had those tie rods repaired at Raul's TWICE before. The first time Raul's place "repaired" them, the tie rods broke down on the expressway late at night within 6 months of being repaired. I had to get my car towed. I towed it to Raul's and they repaired them again. I didn't have to pay for the part but I did have to pay for labor. Same has happened with the tires I got there that were ruined by the tie rods snapping. I had to replace those tires about a month ago, as well. And today, I'm told the tie rod is loose AGAIN. My mechanic took me in to look at them while the car was raised. He said it looked like only one of them had been changed because the other matched the rest of the parts around it. Long story short, my new mechanic finally fixed the problem and my car drives so smooth now. I will never go to Raul's again. Sure they are quick, friendly, and prices are ok, but they did not perform quality work on my vehicle.

What a great service I got from these guys. All I needed was for my window shield wipers to work again. I came to this shop they fixed it in twenty mins and did a excellent job. Most mechanic job won't even check that kind of problem because either there busy or they want you to leave the car so they could over charge you but they didint. They work on it right away and fixed. It. I would highly recommend this shop now. If I ever have problem with my car I'm going take to this spot.I also would recommend Raul he is the person that help me out.

I have been here several times, and I will always go back! They provide excellent customer service and also are super competitive with their pricing! They explain what is going on and gave me a very accurate quote for a major repair. I love them and recommend them to everyone in the area!

Great staff, good quality work. Whenever I can t fix something on my way car i bring it here to get worked on!! Raul s shop is honest and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the work gets done right.

I took my vehicle in for a simple oil change w/ No Prior Problems. 45 minutes later the oil light on my dash comes on & my truck is driving funny. I immediately took my truck back to Raul's shop and inform them of the problem, I was told that the oil was full and there were no leaks coming from the bottom of my vehicle & that maybe my vehicle has engine problems . Since then the problem has only gotten worse I called back and the owner told me they checked the problem and I should take it somewhere else to find out what's causing the issue. So I did and I found out that my vehicle was leaking antifreeze and motor oil which was causing the lights on my dash to come on & my hot & cool meter to float. The mechanic at the other location also told me that the problem could easily be fixed with a oil light sensor & repairing the holes in those 2 leaking areas.

My daughter locked herself out of her car - 3.5 hours from home. Raul was close, I called his shop, and he took care of everything. Got the key out, left it in a safe place until my daughter returned. He just got it done. So thankful and appreciate everything he did.

I brought my Nissan Sentra to Raul's Repair Services after their quote and response on Yelp for a radiator. You can also give the assist to fellow Yelper - Alex A, who endorsed this repair shop as well. I brought my vehicle in 30-minutes after the shop opened because I felt that the sooner I brought it in the sooner it would be completed.I felt anxiety from not knowing how much it would cost for my radiator repair after visiting 'Wons Auto Werks' on N Western Ave who's price was in the $600 range. Once I sat down with Raul to give him my information, he assured me the cost would be $280 and the expected finishing time would be a little under 3-hours which relieved me of that anxiety. Prior to visiting I had planned to drop my car off and pick it up in a few days, but had no idea that I would be leaving with my car the same day.As the mechanic worked on my car I burned 3-hours visiting businesses within Avondale neighborhood, then returned with minutes to spare before my car was completed. It was a relief before leaving Raul's to pop the hood of my car to see a different radiator then driving off with no worries of it smoking.I definitely recommend Raul's Repair Services because of their reasonable prices and convenient repair time. Prior to getting in my car I made it no secret that I was satisfied with the service with plans to return for future repairs. If you intend on bringing your vehicle to Raul's, I recommend giving them a heads up before you drop your car off, or either dropping it off once the shop opens.Thomas G

Raul's employees always go above and beyond, talking to me in layman's terms what the problem is, the pricing seems fair and they are really quick. I trust them and that's not always an easy thing to find with car repair!

I do not recommend this they did a horrible job fixing my car a month ago and they cut a wire and did not a good job. I've went to a another mechanic and he showed me what they did. Do not go here.

First thing a portly fellow named raul assisted me and and made sure all of my needs,car based and emotional were taken care of. Most of importantly he got my car ready before my zoomba class that I did not wanna miss because of the instructor flashing do me eyes. Great shop and great service. A service

Extremely unsatisfied. Had to change a front headlight for the car and I even brought the headlight for them and he was going to charge me 100$ for the job I said hell no. I went to another shop near by and they didn't even charge me to do the favor. Keep you're eyes open. This mechanic always try to overcharge you.

Went in for an oil change - pulled out of the place and into an intersection unable to steer, brake or accelerate quickly. They 'forgot' to plug something back in under my hood and I barely made it back in for them to fix. - Left more details in a facebook message.

Had my catalytic converter stolen over the weekend. Raoul got me the best prices for repair parts. Have been taking my cars to him for 4 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!
