I took advantage of their buy 2, get 2 free tire promotion, which seemed like a good deal. I scheduled an appointment for 9:30am for installation. When I checked in upon arriving, I was told that I wouldn t be seen until 11am, and that it would take an hour, because I have nobody to do tires the guy that was supposed to be here didn t show up. Fortunately, I m not super pressed for time, and I m here and the tires are already paid for. So I go to the waiting room and it s a mess. There s trash on the counters, the trash bin itself looks like it hasn t been emptied in several days, which means that there s also trash by the complimentary coffee (is there any??). I m sure there are other quality Pep Boys out there but this one isn t it.

Purchased four brand new tires a rotation and wheel alignment on May 2nd had to return on May 23rd find myself again in the same service department on July 14th. If I have purchase everything you suggested why am I seeing you all so often either it is inferior products or bad service included is the photos of the washroom which is similarly the way it was on May 2nd and May 23rd buyer beware.Also the customer service the comments they make I believe are disrespectful and unprofessional upon arrival when I announced that I had had a BLOW OUT representative said great This Is Not Great this is not funny this is not how things are supposed to go other people how arriving after me you're telling them 30 minutes but my vehicle is still on the parking lot same representative Roberto response with an okay it's not okay it's not okay customer service apparently needs to be changed by a manager or someone in order to deal with customers that are disenchanted with extra in returning visits .Also look how they put my donut away for Me.. this was a $688.00 visit for service and tires. I don't feel like I'm valued!BACK AGAIN Utilizing the warranty I purchase for my tires. CAME in yesterday, Thursday and was part of a half dozen customers who were just lead on to believe that service was going to be done to our cars....I'm back Friday morning at 8am before my 830am appointment and I'm being told there will be an hour and a half additional wait..."Hold On" I have a scheduled appointment for 830am.NOT to mention that I was here Yesterday and witnessed employees smoking inside the front lobby.I now see 2 other customers that waited countless hours with me yesterday and are now back on the premises hoping to get decent service in a timely manner...That's it .That's all,anyone really wants from any service industry.Bathrooms are a mess and no coffee for the customers as they wait.

Millie at Pep Boys was like a breath of fresh air! She explained everything, walked with me through the price break down, and even sent me an email so we can go through it together!Her customer service and patience is rare and unmatched, especially this day and age! Definitely went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcomed!

The team was very helpful. I went in for a tire change on a holiday and there were closing. But they allowed me to leave my car over night, and were available first thing the next day. They even assisted in me finding the correct parts ant the AutoZone next door and were able to complete my service within 2.5 hours.

Early start customer service, exceptional. Clean environment. Quick tire service. Service was performed on a cold day. Tire was 10 PSI over. 4-5 PSI over would be a preference but was knowledgeable enough to adjust.

Customer agent was great. Only issue is it took too long to complete install they said two hours. At two hours and 45 min I had to ask what was going on. Then the paperwork was finished. But the agent was always pleasant

Had to take my car to get an oil change here and was serviced by Lina. She was very pleasant and I was only in there about an hour which isn't bad considering they did a tire rotation and other checks. They do great work here if you don't mind the wait depending on the time you come!

I m sorry to say, I must change my review for my experience with PEP Boys. I went in on March 23rd for support with my back light bulb. They said it was fixed and I paid the cost. I live seven blocks from their location and my light went out again. I called to bring it back and they asked me to come on Monday. I shared that I had to work on Monday and they told me to come in on Sunday. I arrived at 9:00 am on Sunday and they told me they would have to order the part for my vehicle and it should be in on Tuesday. We took the vehicle back on Tuesday and they shared the part didn t come in and to check back on Wednesday. Needless to say, the part came Wednesday and I expected to pay for the part, but not the labor, AGAIN, after I had paid for it the first time and the work was not repaired. The cost of labor was way over priced and I would not recommend anyone. #dissatisfiedcustomer. Price over performance

Inexperienced kids disgusted as techs . They seemed annoyed they had customers. They stripped my oil drain plug and didn t want to admit. They wanted to charge me $28 for a new one when they did the damage. I do my own oil changes so I would know. Only reason I went in is to use a gift card I had. Spent over 3.5 hrs there for a simple and fast oil change .and that was with an appointment. Never again.

I took my car in to have spark plugs replaced. I got it back with my tires rubbing against something on the car and my breaks grinding like they needed to be replaced months ago. I don t even know why they were touching my tires or breaks. I would not recommend. I m only giving 2 stars because I was impressed by the customer service of the lady setting up the service on the phone.

Millie was great! She called me and gave me updates on the status of my repairs. The mechanics diagnosed the problems with my and promptly completed the repairs. I always have good experiences at this Pep Boys! I will be back.

This was quick and efficient service. Even tho the technician wasn t on time my tire was replaced with an hour. Plus I didn t have an appointment On a Saturday usually tire shops take forever to do a service when a technician not on time or if they have other services to get done. However, pep boys exceed expectations and earned my business for the future

It's probably about the worst customer service I've had in a while. I had an appt to fix a tire (nail in it) at 9am. I arrived at 8:55am. The front desk said it would take 1hr and 40min to repair a tire, which alone is quite frankly absurd, but that's not my issue. I proceeded to wait 3 hours before going up to the front desk and asking what was going on. I then looked outside, and they hadn't even moved my car from the place it was parked. They told me I was next in line, but they still couldn't give me an accurate timetable and said at best 40min. I didn't have that time because I had to pick up my sick daughter from daycare, so I left. I was in the lobby. They could have updated me at anytime.Guy, next to me, while I was waiting, I had an appointment for an oil change. They told him it would be 3 hours. What is the point of scheduling an appointment?This is simple basic car maintenance. It shouldn't be this hard. It wasn't like they had that many customers either.If you plan on going here, expect to spend the whole day there or have to leave it overnight.

Employees are nice enough. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous, I brought my car in at 12:30pm with an appointment. It is now 5:15 and I have received a total of 3 updates on my car, and am STILL waiting for the repair to be done (battery change and oil change) I would have gone home to wait if I had any clue it would take this long, but the employees hardly discussed anything with me this whole time, a complete waste of my day and time.(Edit) Almost a full 6 hours and I find out it s because they can t find the battery they had delivered for my car, but they couldn t be bothered to tell me that until I started bothering them. I would recommend going literally ANYWHERE ELSE(Final edit) at 6pm they tried going out to pick up another battery without communicating to me what was going on, I told them to put the old one back so I can just get out of here considering I ve been here for 6 HOURS. This location is insufferable and unreliable. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Avoid this outlet unless you've got a day to waste. You'll need to take a whole day off work. I made two trips to Pep Boys and each time failed to get my car repaired. On the first trip, I was told there was a 3 hour wait to get the car looked at and that I should return at opening time if I wanted to get it repaired immediately. The following day -my 2nd trip to Pep Boys- I arrived at opening time (first customer when doors were unlocked) and over an hour later they still hadn't looked at the car. Worse yet, they said I needed to wait while other cars were serviced after they diagnosed any problem -and I could be there until 2pm.This is no way to run a business.

They offer a free diagnostic and have you set up an appointment and all that like it s going to be something important and then they just give you the code read out without telling you exactly what your vehicle s problems are and then they tell you that you have to look up your own codes All a waste of time! There are two ladies that work the front counter. One a Latina and the other a black woman. The Latina woman is useless and runs potential customers away but the black lady is very helpful but gets shut down by the other one. I asked them for an estimate on repairs and the black lady was all for it but the other lady said no i was ready to pay for repairs and she said no So I went right to AAMCO Transmissions and gave them my business and they offer a free scan as well and it is very thorough not vague like pep boys. Just go to autozone and get the free scan and they ll even give you more details than pep boys.

They destroyed my mom s truck. Some kid with locs was supposed to do a simple fix. He ended up damaging her drive shift and the under carriage is falling apart. She drove her car there fine and was unable to start her truck. Had to tow it back home. They won t admit to making mistakes with her truck. The female manager is rude. My mom asked her name and she said she didn t have a name. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. So many people the same day were coming in complaining about their vehicles. It s ridiculous they have treat their paying customers.

Great deal. Terrible service at the one at 5959 s Western in Chicago. Took 5� hours to install four tires and was told I had to return during the week for the wheel alignment. I returned for the wheel alignment and My car sat there for 7 hours untouched. Called today for 20 minutes before someone answered then was put on hold for 20 minutes. Still haven't talked to the manager, I have to stop in and request a refund for the wheel alignment and any future warranty service cause I don't want to deal with pep boys ever again.

I orden some tires for my car online, I added to the cart, also balancing and alignment. I get there and no tires and also they said no alignment. Just wasted time and also the lady in the front desk wasn t helpful at all!

I went to pep boys back on July 1, 2023 to get only one left rear passenger side already programmed Tire pressure sensor placed on my 2018 Chevy equinox. They charge me $231.00 which me as a women didn t know at that time they completely over charged me. I called pepboys today because my other three tire pressure went out & I recently order already programmed tire pressure sensor from part geek. I called to get a quote and was told it will be $20.00 for each tire so it made me think back to when they charged me $231.00 last year just for one tire pressure sensor that was already program that I purchased myself to get put on. I asked the store salesman well why was I over charged last year when they only placed one tire already programmed tire pressure sensor? He couldn t even give me an answer and he didn t try to see why because he know they overcharged me. I feel they over charged me because of my race I feel as though I was discriminated against and I will be seeking to file a lawsuit. I contacted pep-boys corporate off and filed a complaint and hope this matter get resolved ASAP.

This please is amazing, they are always busy but is worth the wait. The new manager is great. I had an issue with my car and I was very Skeptical about this place because my previous experience with another pepboys. She took the time to explain what was going on with my car, she and her mechanic explained everything in a way I was able to understand the problem. You guys have a customer for life!Thank you Nina and her crew.

Do not go here! Went in for an oil change. My vehicle was perfectly fine. I pulled out the lot and noticed my vehicle driving weird. I looked under the hood and seen a Pepboys invoice down in the engine area. To make it all better they broke my air resonator and tried to glue(notice it's fresh)it back together. My check engine light is on now and I'm stuck with the cost of the repairs. Of course they denied everything. Save yourself time and money and a headache GO ELSEWHERE!

If I could give this place a 0 review I will, my father in law bought 4 wheels from this location, the owner e that helped was great on helping him get the 4 wheels. Unfortunately, it was different when he got to the store, 2 employees in general, a black guy, was very disrespectful to him and yelling at him. Hope he gets fired, the lady inside was rude and was very unprofessional. The way you talk to customers is not that way for both of them, you shouldn t have an attitude or be mean to customers, I hope PEP BOYS fire this people because is obvious that they need better employees to service their customers.

Rookie mechanics! Worst Pep boys in the city of Chicago. Ghetto and unorganized! Still waiting on my vehicle been 3 days should ve been 1. All because of the false information I was provided then they apologized and only took 10% off! But my time was wasted and costed me!! No remorse I asked for corporate number and the young man told me he don t have it and it s not around him . The worst ! The mechanics don t know nothing!!
