Great service overall! I called for a price quote on an Oil Change and Availability for my vehicle; gave me all the appropriate information and told me Bring it on in! Once I arrived I was greeted by Jorge, Ivan, Javier & Gerardo, all EXCELLENT Service Advisors! They walked me thoroughly on all the Preventative Maintenance needs that I will require soon due to mileage. I felt really comfortable bringing in my vehicle to these Boys and will continue to do so! Definitely recommend this shop to anyone trying to get service on their vehicles! THEY DO IT ALL!

Gerardo was very friendly and he took very good care of me. Always smiling no matter how busy he was.I had front and Rear Brakes, Belt Drive, Brake Flush, and AlignmentBe patient everyone, a lot of places since the Pandemic are short handed. You don't want the workers rushing on your service.Sometimes also bless them,let them know you appreciate them for coming in, it doesn't hurt to show gratitude even though you are paying for a service. I want to thank the employee for going over and beyond for me left one appointment . And went to another location for tire rotation and Elgerardo was the best of the best. He definitely did what he said he was going to do get me in and out with a smile even made some recommendations for my tires thank you so much I will be returning. Excellent customer service I appreciate that so much. I know I spell his name so wrong sorry .

Pablo & Alejandro took care of me today.Alejandro checked my car out and was amazing. He explained everything well and knew exactly what he was talking about. Pablo checked me out ant the counter and guided me through next steps. These guys are amazing, definitely recommend coming here!

I was there in November of last year. Some of the sweetest, kindest people work at the front desk. With such a bad world, we live in, its a blessing to have courteous people working for you, especially honesty and integrity and an all around, nice heart! Keep spreading kindness.

I went to this place for an oil change in my jeep about a month ago, and luckily today someone warned me of an oil stain under my car, we checked and discovered that my car had spilled all the oil because the filter it wasn't tight, or maybe it's the wrong one. They took almost 2 hours doing the service, they charged almost 80 dls and apart from that they did it wrong

As I approach my car from behind I noticed a trail behind my left tire that appeared to me water/ oil. You can clearly see my car created the line because you could see the line steaming from where the service area is and stops where my car is parked. As I get in front of my car between my 2 front tires was a oil like substance..I just knew It had to already be there before they parked my car. I proceed to head in to pay. As I am leaving to get my car and go some told me to just inform them of this big spill in front of my car so I do. I tell the guy and head to my car. Once there I examine the substance by placing a finger in it and discover that it's fresh oil. I look under my car and I'll be darn my whole oil change is on the Ground. I've been dealing with pep boys faithfully for more than 10 years. Never have I experience this. Mistakes happen but guess who ran behind because of it? I did. After paying such a large almost of cash for the service all I got was a excuse to why the job wasn't done correctly.

When I first brought my car to Pep Boys, I had planned to write a glowing review; I just was unable to find the time to do so. Now, I m glad I did not write it because I m immensely disappointed in my experience.I brought my car to Pep Boys on October 14 because I had an oil leak. They did a fluid leak evaluation, and I was told that it was because of the oil pressure sender. It was replaced with an oil change and I was told my battery was at about 50% but did not need replacement at the time. Everything cost $487.89 and was completed in a few hours. I was pleased with the work done.On October 28, I had my regular maintenance appointment at Kia. When they did their multipoint inspection, they found that my oil leak had not been resolved: the oil pan gasket was leaking. They recommended I take my car back to Pep Boys to rectify this error.On November 2, I took my car back to Pep Boys and told them what Kia said. After they evaluated everything, they confirmed that they would need to replace the oil pan gasket. This time, they provided pictures whereas they had not last time. They told me the cost would be another almost $500. I was aghast as this was a problem they had not identified in the first place when I first saw them only two weeks beforehand. The worker said they did not replace the oil pan gasket then because it s hard to identify if it s leaking (although Kia was able to do so) and they did not want to upcharge me. I responded that they are upcharging me now as it would have cost me less to take care of everything at once two weeks ago. He said he understood, typed some keys on his keyboard, and told me that my new cost would be $317.65, which I wrote down. I was satisfied with the amount, although I was still annoyed.When it was time to pay a few hours later, another worker told me again it would be over $400. I told him that was not the number I was told. He said he didn t know what the other worker did to get that number, typed in some keys, and then said my new amount was $360.79. Tired of the chicanery, I begrudgingly paid for the service so that I could take my car and go home.My issues are the following: I do not like feeling finessed, I do not like being lied to, I do not like the seeming ineptitude, lack of communication, and lack of integrity of professionals, and, most importantly, I do not like not having confidence that my car has been fixed and is safe to drive. Is my car fixed now? Hopefully. However, if it is not, I will not be bringing my car back to this Pep Boys or any other Pep Boys ever again.

Brakes went out, drove to Cicero Ave store for inspection, thoughtful ap provided updates to my phone. Great idea. Coupland hours I was safely back on the road with a senior discount. Happy camper in Chicago winter.

Not pep boys but hertz inside pepboys was horrible, i felt discriminated when i was getting a rental, they would talk with their people with professionalism, with joy and when I told them that i was there to pick up a tesla i had reserved they talked to me like if i didn't understood English... yelling and with attitude, almost like if they were irritated... never renting from this location. Guys at pepboys were awesome guiding me where to go. Thats the only i gave this a 3 stars

Was charged $65 for them to look at my air conditioning when online it says that it s 35. I had a 5 o clock appointment and they didn t even look at my car until 630 (what s the point of an appointment?) then they ran out of time and told me they would have to keep it overnight, three hours later I asked them to tell me how much it would cost and they told me it was $1800 which is completely insane for a 13-year-old car AC unit. Tried to charge me $296 for a part that s $28 at AutoZone online and then tried to charge me $686 for another part that s $220 on AutoZone. Total price gouging, they told me to pre-apply for credit, and there would be no hit on my credit, not only did they put a hard inquiry on it that dropped my credit six points, but then I was told by the credit department they would need 7 to 10 days to review my application. They also told me it would be an interest free credit card pending how much I spent only to find out that the interest rate is 29.99% when I have good credit! Are you kidding me? I needed the work done that night if I was going to do it. in fairness, the representative said he s never seen that before, and he tried to call them, but couldn t get through. Total disaster. Would never take my business back there. Complete disappointment with the whole ordeal.

I booked a car rental service to pick up at 10 o 'clock, I waited here for more than an hour, they were supposed to open at 9 o 'clock, but no staff came to work, the customer in front of me in line told me he waited longer. It's annoying and a waste of our time. If you are also renting a car please do not pick up the car at this address as they are not on time

Would never recommend this place to no one, I was told there was no cars before me and that was a lie. I been here for 2 hours. Employee stated that there was only one mechanic working on 3 cars when they stated no cars was before me. This is the worst experience ever. I'm still waiting as I write the review.

I bought 4 tires yesterday from Pep Boys. The next day I had a flat. I brought the car back and explained the situation. I was told they would look at it in 20 minutes if they could get a bay open. 2 hours later I checked after no one or the nice app they provided contacted me. The rim around the tire valve was damaged and caused the tire to go flat. My car didn t have this issue when I originally brought it in to have the four tires installed. In my opinion they caused this issue. A mechanic even said they probably did it when removing the old tires. They replaced my tire for free but wanted to charge me $59 for labor and taxes. It took another 2 hours for me to get my car. I have purchased a new rim from Amazon and will have someone else mount the tire. I can t spend another 4 hours waiting for something that can be done in 30 minutes to an hour.

The service I received was excellent. There was a confusion when first dropping off my vehicle for inspection that lead to a longer repair, but Management made it right without any request on my part for them to do so. I have used this location for decades and have always been happy with their service. I will continue to use their Services whenever it is applicable.

My experience was phenomenal! For the single ladies, dealing with auto issues can be challenging. These guys ARE honest, upfront and transparent. George, the service manager was a true gentleman and took the time to make sure my vehicle was up to par. I came in at 6pm and he serviced my vehicle even though they were swamped (I was told to come back even after calling 1st to see if they could perform the service). Be advised tires do rot, and driving on rotting tires is dangerous. But George saved the day. I got great tires (19's which are a hard find in stock) at a great price and extra complimentary service!! 70th & Cicero-Pep Boys, earned my respect and all future my business!! Ladies, these are the go to guys.

To all the young black women do not go to this establishment they are cheating us out our money and overpricing us.I go in to to get a plug for my tire because I had a screw in it I showed them the picture and the boy at the cashier in the lobby was like yes $24 and some change to fix it so I wanted to pay but he was I like We don t charge you until after the work is done, which was suspicious then, because if you know exactly How much this specific service cost then how come I can t pay and you already have the price, so 30 minutes goes by I receive a call on my cell phone stating that the tire was in repairable and I will need a whole new tire which cost $124. I knew they were lying, so literally go around the corner on 59th took me less than 10 minutes to get my tire repair $15 to plug-it by a man name TK gave him a $5 tip went back to Pepboys and gave them the screw and told them to stop cheating ppl out of their money. I truly feel they only was trying to make me pay more because I was a black woman so please people do your research.
