Should be best city mufflers!! These guys are awesome! Honest, fast, quality. I priced out 10 shops, they beat the others best offer, and got me in same day. Couldn t be happier, I m a motorcycle mechanic and I recognize a hard working honest shop when I see one, they are rare unfortunately. Thanks again Gabriel! And if you have a Japanese car and your worried your cat will get stolen, or it s been stolen and you need a new one put on, ask about installing a metal sheet to protect it!! Had an emergency and needed to get a broken pipe under my car fixed. I went over and they took me in right away and fixed the problem in less then an hour. They gave me a really good deal too. Will definitely be going back if any other issues arrive. Super grateful!

I found this gem in 2008 and have NEVER gone anywhere else! Hal is the absolute best and always greets you with a smile! The services are done quickly and their prices are unbeatable do yourself a favor and visit them soon.

Got all 4 of my brakes and rotors done a year ago, here. Completely replaced and after a month they still never stopped squeaking, so I went back and told them. They said they fixed them now and that they re fine now. They were still squeaking so a couple weeks later I went back and told them AGAIN and they said they shaved off the gel? And that now they re fine. They still squeak to this day. I went to another mechanic for a second opinion and they said they gave me cheap and/or defective brakes because they should NOT be squeaking after being completely replaced and going back not once, but TWO times. I was actually told this is unsafe since the brakes may be defective so i could have sued if this caused me to crash. Just ridiculous and poor work. Never going back or recommending them to anyone.

Had my exhaust repaired here after needing all of my oxygen sensors replaced. Great place to bring your car, they looked at it right away and the car was fixed within 2 days. They were very reasonable and explained the work that was done. Highly recommend

I had a really good experience here on an exhaust repair. The turn around was really quick (within an hour of bringing it in!) and the price was really good. I asked the mechanic for a general inspection, basically setting myself up for them to tell me whatever and they didn't charge me to look over the car and didn't tell me anything was wrong with the car when there wasn't. The one caveat was it was a bit informal of an experience, which might be good depending on the job. I would definitely go back here for minor jobs. I would go here for a big job too but I would have a little trepidation and hope, for a bigger job, there was a bit more formality in terms of writing things down and discussing warranties/guarantees etc. But a brake job, exhaust, oil change, any small or medium job I would definitely not shop around but go straight here. I would give the place a shot at a bigger job too but can't speak to that yet.Service: Exhaust

I had my catalytic converter(s) stolen for the second time in a year. Although I am fortunate that this incident was covered by my insurance my experience going through my auto insurance and waiting for their in network mechanics do the labor was painful. It would have been months before they could fix my car so instead I took my vehicle here and they were great! ...friendly, quick, & thorough. ...For anyone who has had their catalytic converter stolen they know what a nightmare it can be and it often seems like these things happen at the worst possible time, but taking my car here has restored my faith in humanity.

Gabriel is awesome! He always shows us what he s doing, quotes a fair price and gets the work done quick. We had a certain popular part stolen overnight and seven hours later he already had it fixed with a (less attractive to thieves) non-OEM replacement. He s also going to install a protector for us so we can stop thinking about it. There was some confusion between his quote and the desk guy so check your numbers but we find this Windy City to be a reliable place!

So originally I called and talked to a gentleman named Hal seemed like a very nice person. I called and asked some questions, he gave me answers and everything went smooth over the phone. The issue wasn t until the day I was coming in. I called to verify they can still get me in that day and the guy who answered (wasn t Hal this time) before he even answered the question of if I could he asks how much did he quote you? I gave him the price he quoted and he said that s the wrong price and when I mentioned it was the price Hal had given me he responded with he s an old guy who doesn t know anything about cars then afterwards I mentioned how he ignored the question of if I could still come today. He then mentions oh sorry the guy who does that quit and no longer works here so apparently an exhaust shop doesn t have an exhaust guy that works on exhausts. Or was it he was mad at the price and refused to do it at that price so he lied to me about him working here. When I mentioned I would write a review of my experience he said he didn t care and to do whatever. I even mentioned All I wanted was the work done, we could ve figured out a price later and he still refused to do it. Terrible experience and lies to customers. Take your car else where unless you want to be mistreated and lied too

After receiving a price of 200 for just brake labor from another auto shop, I called here and got a GREAT price. I received great labor from the very nice mechanics. I LOVE this car repair. I went to KIA 3 times and lots of $$ later still had the same problem. Very good service and the prices are fair too. If you take your car in on Saturday it may take longer for repairs, but they are quicker during the week when there are less oil changes. I've been going here for years, and have had friends try them as well with positive results.

Hal is a great guy! Very professional and super helpful! He's such a nice guy I went there for a muffler problem and he quickly identified the issue and had me fixed up and ready to roll in less than 24 hours!

Highly, highly recommend. I felt like I was at a huge loss until I called them. I had my catalytic converter stolen and they repaired it same day, in about 30 minutes. They had everything that was needed AND gives a 1 year warranty. Please go here if your situation is similar to mine. GREAT price for quick work and they see this issue frequently so have great knowledge of it too.Service: Exhaust

Very solid mechanic. I used this place a few times when I had my old Ford 500, the lead mechanic and I believe the owner, Elmo, or Emo, is a great guy, very knowledgeable and professional. They give it to you straight. And from the experiences I ve had, they are pretty honest which means a lot when talking about car repairs. If you are looking to get work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend this local mechanic, it s also best to try to make an appointment cause they are pretty busy.Services: Electrical, Brakes, Battery

Quick service, affordable price, and expert work. After paying was mentioned to me if any issues just bring it right back. The workers were extremely helpful and the owner was very business like. I think I found a new mechanic to finally get my 02 Corolla back to tip top shape! Thanks you guys for the help on fixing my brake lines. Will recommend!

Stopped by for emergency repair of my heater/fan. They don't advertise this service but I called ahead of time and they said they'd take a look. Within minutes they thoroughly explained the issues and gave me an estimate. Price was extremely fair and had it ready to go within 2 hours. Will definitely stop by for any future work. Highly recommend.

I came to this shop after seeing it recommended on nextdoor.com. I was convinced that I needed a new muffler by the awful sound my SUV was making. The owner didn't think so. Once he got it on the lift he called to let me know that he just needed to replace a broken pipe for $100. It was refreshing not to get ripped off, which would have been so easy to do.I just saw a review about protecting catalytic converters with byo sheet metal. I'd love to know what the cost is. Maybe I'll have that done. It's so rampant these days.

Excellent place to get your car fixed. I always get great customer service from Hal. Him and Leo has kept this place running strong. I recommend this place for repairs at a fair price. I've been going there for 2 years now and am more than satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!!!

The guys here are friendly Fair and honest... I've been taking my stuff here regularly and I have zero complaints, it's never fun having to fix your car when you got bills to pay, but that's anywhere.
