I can't say enough about this place. If you need a technical diagnosis of a problem with your vehicle...come here. Now....They're not cheap and they take their time, but they are not mechanics, they are engineers.

There was a nice long wait to get my vehicle looked at. They charge $99 to diagnose your car but it will be waived of you get your car fixed with them.. They prices were on the higher side. But great customer service and they are very knowledgeable.

Got a catalytic converter replaced and the car was ready in 24 hrs once I dropped it off. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend calling ahead to see their availability because they get a lot of business.

Parts had to be ordered, and it may have taken a couple of weeks to be done but when I got my vehicle back, the work was good and the price was fair. It was costly but the year warranty on the services makes me feel better. No complaints! They tried to overcharge me and didn't ask my permission before adding services I didn't request. They originally told me my bell housing was damaged and that they will call me back with a quote but when they called me back they told me they were getting me a whole new transmission which I didn t agree to. I told them that I only wanted my bell housing fixed and nothing else. Now they are refusing me service because I got in contact with the company LKQ where they get their parts from. Not only did they lie and say they only had 1 transmission available but they also added an extra $300 to the retail price. I asked if I can order the part myself and pay them for the labor to fix it and he told me no. They are very money hungry I do not recommend them AT ALL, they have created a bad name for the entire Mr. Transmission franchise.

We we re referred to this place by Ricks Auto shop. We paid close to $5000.00 to have a new engine placed. It took them 2 weeks to turn our car over only to and to experience similar linking problems from the new engine???Customer service, respect, and professionalism is most important in business to me and they DO NOT offer much of these attributes.You took our money only to tell us to bring our car back 2 weeks after the problem because their well overbooked, greedy & overwhelmed??I will never take my car to them again. Beware people how you spend your money with people who are unfriendly, unprofessionally culturally and ethnically unrelateable and unreliable.

A group of knowledgeable, experienced, thorough, efficient mechanics, who are also honest and friendly. I've never had a bad experience with them. It has always been money well spent. The service is reasonably quick, and the prices are fair. Hard to beat.

They are extremely pricey, I went to them to get some work done paid my $300 deductible and the next week something was wrong again and took my van back and he said new set of problems another $300 deductible! Felt that is ridiculous because that should have been noticed the first time. So I feel as a 6 time returning customer they should offer some type of loyalty discount. Didn't get the job done, but if you need something small done they are your guys I suppose. One of my cars kept failing the emissions test last year, took it over to them and it finally passed and for that I rate them 4 stars!

I ve brought my vehicle to this establishment for year, however this most recent experience was horrible. There zero follow up on their part regarding my car repairs. Over the course of 3 weeks I had to make multiple calls regarding status only to be told someone would call me back with an update which never happened. I get my car back drive it for 4 days and the engine comes back on. Take it back for them to address the issue only to be told that it ll cost $1600 to a new issue. This is on top of the $1300 I just paid them.

I sent my daughters car here for a transmission replacement. They kept the Beetle for almost a month. Less than 30 days later the car overheated. In a small way, I feel like if they had the vehicle that long, then an issue with the thermostat maybe should have been identified, but my daughter has ownership in some of that part as well. Nonetheless, I return with vehicle July 9th, they give a diagnostic to find the entire engine and manifold needs to be replaced via text July 12th detailing work needed and price, half required to begin work. I make the payment the next day! Here it is Aug. 21st, and I still don't have my vehicle. I call, I hear they have to order the engine, 2 weeks later I call, they received the wrong engine, waiting for another, call back week later, "we are getting to it, should be ready by the end of the week". I rode by to see my car against the gate basically buried. I stop in, they show me the part that melted. I called as recently as Aug. 17th, spoke to Mark who said they are currently working on it and it will be ready tomorrow or Thursday. No call received. I call Friday to be told manager is out and it won't be ready until next week sometime! So school has started, my daughter works and her primary mode of transportation has been down for 6 weeks. Mark was non chalant every-time, basically said things happen. Now their reason is the mechanic strike at the dealerships. The time frame that they have had my vehicle is awful, but even worse is the fact that there has been ZERO COMMUNICATION on their end. Every single time it was me calling to follow up only to get the run around. I would pull my vehicle but I already paid half of the costs, which the total is about $3500 on top of the $2600 I just spent to replace the transmission. The least I could get is a phone call or someone to communicate what is happening. I'm sure they will want their full price payment which at this point should not be in my opinion. I could have went to the dealer and even with the strike, gotten my vehicle back quicker. Will never return.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Although I like the GM I have to be honest. After 1 year of dealing with this establishment and my car I had to change my review. My car has been in and out of this shop repeatedly for a year with something new coming up every time I leave them and they ask for more money each time. My car will run fine for a week or 2 then my check engine light will come on relating to something they repaired, I'll get a diagnosis and it's something not covered by the warranty. I have spent over $7500 in repair costs with them and every time something else comes up which is another cost and I simply refuse to spend another dime with them. I had another issue this weekend, got the feedback which had a cost attached to it, after getting my car back I got 3 more opinions from professional shops today and they told me what they are charging me for should be covered by my current warranty, also I was told some shops will mess something else up while doing a repair for something else just to keep you coming back. I have probably been to this shop 25 times over the past year for repairs that are needed almost days after I get the car back from them fixing something else.

This place is always backed up apparently. Only one guy to check for diagnostics , so when i asked if i can drop my car off the guy stated yes... but they wouldn't be able to look at my car until 2 days later. Then they stated first come first serve but they had 10 people already for the next day. Very confusing on how the operation of things are handled but it should take 48 hours just to get diagnostic check. My advice hire more people.

They gave me a quote for my trans,then when I was ready to get it fixed they changed the price. That spelled scam to me so I changed my mind and left to go buy a new/used vehicle,...thanks to them I'm better off. Don't trust them.

This place is something. I went in to see why their were fluids leaking. I was advised needed a host of things including an oil pan. So I took it for a second opinon. I was allowed from the other company to look at what needed to be replaced and it sure was not an oil pan. I use to like this place and referred it to several other people years ago. Can you tell mey why you can never leave paying anything less than a $1000. I think the BBB needs to check this place.

Complete rip offI took my SUV in because it was stalling while I was driving and my brakes were going bad. They quoted me the price for brakes and for a catalytic converter which they said caused the stalling and hesitation. I opted to get the converter fixed first and the come back. After they replaced the converter, I picked the car up and took it home. I did not use the vehicle because the brakes were bad. I saved the money for the brake job and took the vehicle back 2 months later to get the brakes done. On they way to the shop the vehicle started stalling again. When I got to the shop the told me I needed a catalytic converter. I said that impossible because you guys said you did that 2 months ago. They check the mileage to find I had only driven the vehicle 8 miles since the last visit. After catching them in this scam the tech told me that they didn t know what was wrong with it and they could not fix it. Complete SCAM. I found out the mass airflow vent($75) was causing the stalling. I fixed that myself, after paying over $700 to fix the converter. DO NOT STOP HERE!!!!!!!!Service: Exhaust

I brought my car in for the air conditioner to be fix and a censor for car. Well they kept my car for 2 weeks only to tell me that they replaced the censor but the censor light still on and they didn t fix my a/c claim they recharge it but now I need a compressor. Already paid $1,449 to get it back and no a/c working. Never would I return. In top of it all customer service was all wrong they re very rude.Service: Air conditioning

Great shop would pick this shop over any. Was told upfront needed a diagnostic and that anything after they will give me a call as soon as possible and that the price i paid for the diagnostic goes to repairs. Car fixed no additional charges would recommend to everyone I know.

In the beginning i had a great experience, they fix my cooler system. It was very expensive. Then the next day my front end grill fell off my Chrysler 300. They broke the clamp and allowed me to drive off the lot as if there was no problem. I was very upset. However, after bringing it back up there and loosing a day of wprk, they replaced it with a new grill. Hope i never need their services AGAIN!!. Unprofessional

BE AWARE -- this place is a RIP OFF. I dropped my vehicle off on Tuesday, September 17th at 4pm. I was told that the diagnostic is $99 and was told that they would call the next day. They never called back as promised. I called to check in then they decided to call on Wednesday at 4:45pm with the diagnostic. Today, Thursday my vehicle is still is not repaired and I am out of $99.

This place is horrible do not take yo car here I took my 84 caprice here to get a 700r4 built up with shift kit and they told me 2500 well they call told me my car was done after 2 weeks I pick car up I live 3 hrs away get car home car not shifting right I called them they told me bring car back when I did bring car back my starter went out so I had to take the car to another shop get started fixed well they put a 2400 stall in my car I didn't like it so I had the mechanic put a 2800 back in there before I took it back so I get it back to them and they tell me u switch converter so now we can fix yo car when my trans was never shifting correctly in 1st place jus took my 2800 bad business and told me they will not fix my car even if it's under warranty I will sue them currently lookin for lawyer

I went to this location early this morning, August 20, 2013, and told them the problem that I was having with my car. I believed it to be a problem with the transmission because the car jerks very often at the start of acceleration. The apparently agitated man at the desk instructed me to leave and that they would call when they figured out the problem and that there would be a fee of $42.50 to give me a diagnoses. He called six hours later not only with the same bad attitude, but without a diagnoses. He says one of the mechanics drove my car around for 30 minutes before experiencing the jerking and that it would cost $671 (not to be applied to repairs or parts) for them to figure out the problem. Granted, I understand that labor is costly, BUT they still expected me to pay them the $42.50 for them to take a "look" at my transmission and give me a "diagnoses" when they did neither! I paid them to burn out my gas by taking a 30 minute joyride around Chicago and regurgitate the same information I relayed to them!

Don't bring your vehicle here. They charge high prices and will change the price after an agreement. They want to keep the vehicle overnight to tamper with other areas of your vehicle. Then they will explode on you loudly for exercising your own discretion.

I felt as though I was being ripped off! They quoted me one price on the phone and when I arrived their they quoted me a different rate. Claiming the rates increased since we last spoke!!! Lies
