Place sucks, pretty sure the 5 star reviews are fake. Only 1 person working, guy wanted me to leave my car overnight for an oil change lol. I pulled up at 4:45 btw and the place was empty said he couldn't do it today since he was alone. Oh ya synthetic only, they didn't even have regular oil. Stay far away.

PROS:Went in as a walk in. Friendly. Nice service writer. Let me know about the wait. He didn t have to take my car in, but he Did.Cons: told me I can get another car I have serviced after he was done with the one I brought in. Went back to get the car and drop off the 2nd car only to be told if I m gonna leave it over night because he had 2 other cars to service.Also I was over charged for an oil change and for a small car synthetic blend took only 4quarts was supposed to do a complementary tire rotation with service that wasn t done asked to check a tire since it has a small leak automatically said it would be 45 dollars extra. Get charged for oil disposal fee when that s part of an oil change.Employees don t make up the fee prices but the employees were nice. Professional.Will not go back there for an oil change. Though.

We were recommended to try Midas after our appointment with another establishment fell through. The service we received was above and beyond they took us in that same day! ; went in for a coolant flush & oil change. When we needed to come back and have the coolant checked again (it was an over due service that we had avoided) they were willing to wait for our return even though they d be closing early. The gentlemen found the last air pockets in the system and the car was good to go. They were very thoughtful in checking in on us afterwards to make sure the car was running well. We were very pleased with this service and the wait time wasn t too long, but the location also(Logan square) gave opportunity to explore the neighborhood shops which was great and allowed us to run more errands in the meantime. We will visit again in the future!

I used their website to find and alignment and tire package. It listed participating stores. This one was listed but refused to honor promotion. Pep Boys said they would honor Midas s promotion. Go to Pep Boys.

Oil change take at least 2 hours even though I scheduled for service already. The employee said they are super busy. Ok I believe that because I saw there are only 2 people in the shop. Wasted my time !!!!

I've been coming here for years. You couldn't ask for a better place to get your car repaired or other needs they offer. Pat, the manager is the BEST of the BEST! He's honest, knowledgeable, explains everything in detail, very helpful and the nicest guy to do business with. Pat will never steer you wrong. He cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. He has a great staff! I trust him completely and I am completely satisfied! Just received an oil change and an Air Intake Hose installation. The manager called saying my car needed additional repairs like a brake fluid flush (which was done back in February by my local mechanic) so I knew something was shady.. then said my rear tire had a nail in it that was unrepairable, therefore I needed a new tire. I picked up my car without those recommended services, then took it to a tire repair shop after who inspected the tire and told me the screw that was in there was less than 1/2 inch, within the thread, and it did not puncture my tire.I stopped going to this midas after a while because they seemed to be pushy about services that I never was recommended at Jiffy Lube or pep boys the past few years I ve taken for oil changes and inspections. I made a mistake coming back. SMH**Response to Owner**: You informed me that the nail was unrepairable and even gave me a price for the new tire. Can t believe it you just lied to yourself because there was nothing to repair either way. The screw did not puncture my tire. Wow..Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection

This was a super easy spot for an oil change. I made an appointment request online received a very quick response the next day, made the request after they were closed. Dropped my car 10 minutes before the appointment and the oil change was finished in 30 minutes. It was even on the weekend Great service!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Forgot to tighten my wheels leading to my wheel falling off. Lied about time to repair damage. Shop didn't repair all damage. Shop lied about doing front end checks because another Shop has said i clearly have a transmission leak.

I was traveling from a small city in another state when I needed my brakes and rotors replaced.The front desk crew were very professional and very knowledgeable. The work was efficient, fast and at a fair price!What really surprised me was when the manager Pat drove out of his way to drop me off at my son's local apartment.How refreshing, a small town feeling in a big city! Great experience.

My converter was stolen from my Ford Escape the morning I was supposed to drive to an out of town wedding. I didn't know what the problem was, but Pat knew right away over the phone, and was able to take my car in immediately. They replaced the parts for cheaper than expected, and got me back on the road 2.5 hours earlier than he projected so that I could make the wedding in time. Great service, great prices, helpful tips and information. I will definitely return.

I always have a great experience at this Midas. I am usually in and out in no time. Pat the manager goes above and beyond to help his customers. No matter how many customers and mechanics striving for his attention he maintains his composure. Glad I found this Midas I have been a steady customer for years.

Fair prices, honest evaluations, good and quick work, comfortable waiting area.Pat was great, as was everyone else I spoke with.I used to work at a dealership, so I have a high standard and my trust is hard to earn.12/29/2016 Update:I still bring my car here and they still do good, honest work at fair prices.

On multiple occasions they said I needed an expensive repair that I did not need. They said I needed a new Alternator when I had a faulty battery and then they said I needed an expensive repair to fix my AC when All i need was to refill it. If you need an oil change they are great. Don't trust them with anything else. They don't know what they are talking about/just want your money.

Note that many of these reviews for this Midas on Fullerton look fake. (Example: One reviewer also has generic 5-star reviews for oil change places in Vermont and Utah...).Businesses will sometimes pay to have fake third parties add 5-star reviews. There is no official way to report this to Google, but I'm a Chicago local guide who can tell. For real. Literally was just reading this to see if I would go here for oil change since I live blocks away.Yelp average review is less than 2.5 stars, with all the most recent at at 1-star. Bad reviews repeat the rough stuff here - scammy pricing.

Poor work. Did not have equipment to make a bend in exhaust pipe so just crimped it and welded it back in. Told me it was what they had proposed to do. Not true. I will now have to pay again to have it repaired correctly.

Chris, the new manager, is amazing. He takes priority in giving honest information that's necessary to fix your vehicle without pressuring you, still thinking about your needs.I've gone back several times since my first visit and will continue to do so as long as I live in Chicago. Chris and his team have made Midas on Fullerton the place we're my partner and I will take our cars for years to come.I want to add that all the work they did was quick and well done. I received up to date information throughout each service order. If you are not a Chicago native, you can really rely on a place like this to give you honesty with great customer service.There's always coupons to help drive down the cost too, which makes this place awesome as well.

I recently brought my car to Midas for new brakes, after calling around on prices, and getting the lowest quote from them. I was pleasantly surprised to also receive great customer service, in addition to the low cost, since those things usually don't go together. Both the manager and technician were really friendly and informative. I'm happy to find a place where I don't feel like I'm being talked down to, because I'm a girl and/or know nothing about cars. I'll be back!

Very accommodating with schedule. I appreciate the attention to detail when inspecting my vehicle. Absolutely the worst shop. They told me that I needed new rotors and brakes and I took my car home and the brake pads were at 90 percent and the rotors were perfect. Then a week after my oil being changed I got a check engine oil light on and I checked it myself come to find out after charging me $70 to get an oil and filter change they didn't even change my oil at all. Scam shop avoid at all costs.

Update: I took my car to Lincoln Park Import Services which was recommended by a family member. After inspecting my car (free of charge) they said all of the issues Midas had found were completely made up. They also topped up my coolant since that was actually low. If I could give this Midas 0 stars I would.I came in here for an oil change a few weeks ago. Everything seemed fine at the time - although the service was about 2x the price of an oil change at the south loop Midas I have been going to for years. I was hoping this new location close to my new house would have consistent service, but I was sadly dissapointed. A few weeks after I came in I had a warning light that my coolant was low. When I called to see if they would top it up for me since they OKed my car, they said this was not part of the "topping up of the fluids". They then also listed a few things that I apparently should have had fixed based on my inspection, all of which they failed to mention when they sent us on our way. When I asked why they never mentioned any of these issued they just said it was written on our receipt (which I will be double checking since I reviewed it and didn't notice). The fact they let me leave thinking my car was in safe driving condition when I apparently had a list of repairs, is deeply troubling. For their clients safety, this is not ok and they offered me nothing for failing to inform me there were issues. I will never be returning here.

My boyfriend referred me to this shop. These guys rock! I needed an oil change, my brakes were shot, my windshield wiper jets were dead and I needed a serious once over of my car to get ready for a big road trip. They were honest, friendly and helpful along every step of the way ... and had epic movies on in the waiting room while I was there. My car is ready for the trip and the cost was very reasonable, can't thank them enough!
