I was rear ended with bumper damage (minor) and received a paper quote of $400 from the older employee, competitive market price. Couple weeks later, I finally received the insurance company estimate/allowance of $750, and I came in again giving them the insurance estimate/allowance. The verbal price (not paper quote) now became $500 from a different team member, increasing $100. Fine, I'd still go with it.When it came time to pay, the auto shop told me they contacted the insurance, with the insurance telling the auto shop that I was supposed to pay the auto shop directly because I received a check from the insurance for $750. Found that was correct and had received a check from insurance for $750 (the insurance repair estimate/allowance, I thought insurance would pay the shop directly per the insurance associate). When it came time to pay the shop, the price was now bumped up to $600 per the auto shop, and the auto shop told me I could keep the extra difference between the $750 received from the insurance vs $600 paid to the shop. Why did the price increase from $400 to $500, and then again from $500 to $600, all for the same scope of work?

I have used Luis Auto for all of my car body work since they opened. Jaguar, Infinity, Mercedes, Acura etc and they have ALWAYS done phenomenal work at very reasonable prices. I would not even consider going anyplace else even though they moved from a much more convenient location for me right near Wrigley Field to this location on Western Avenue. I give them 10 stars!!!

Just bought a Honda Accord that had a major scratch from the previous owner. We wanted it fixed, but it's a 2012 and going to be parked on the street, so didn't want to spend a ton. Went to multiple places for quotes and Luis quoted us the best deal (hundreds less!). Luis and Greg were super responsive, got it done within 1-2 days, and Greg even lowered the price some at pick up. These guys are great and honest! If I need any future body work (hopefully not) they will be the first I'll turn to or recommend!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The employees are super nice! I brought in my car with a large dent in my door on a Monday night and it was ready that same week on Wednesday MORNING! They did such a good job with the repair and with the paint job for such a good price. Also, when I picked my car up, it was parked right in front, it was washed, cleaned, and mildly detailed. Had great experience at this shop. Chose them based on reviews, treatment when I went there and the repair quota they gave me. Excellent work at great prices. One of the parts didn t arrive on time so they gave me discount for the inconvenience!!! This is a family business as well and they really care to provide you with the best possible experience. Just to give you an idea : went there for a bumper replacement, quota was around 600. Other places I went from Gerber to other local shops - all quotas were around 800!!! Thank you Luis Auto repair. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Greg and Luis Auto Repair. I was sideswiped overnight (hit and run) and had a relatively small dent and some scratches to deal with. I went to three shops in the area for quotes - Luis was significantly cheaper than the other two shops (less than half of the highest quote!) and I felt confident that they knew what they were doing. One shop tried to tell me that because my paint color had a pearlescent color it would cost a lot more. Greg assured me that it's a common finish and they make the paint in-house and it would not be an issue or cost more. My car was ready the next day (earlier than expected) and they were flexible with the pickup day/time. When I did end up coming, Greg had stepped out and his colleague didn't have access to the quote/payment system. He simply gave me my key and asked me to call back later to pay via phone. Since I had my 5-month-old with me it was SO nice to not have to come back in person. When I spoke with Greg to pay via phone, he let me know they were giving me a discount of ~$75 - a very nice surprise! Also, they cleaned my car inside and out before I picked it up - it hadn't been that clean in years! :) The actual work was perfect, but it was the customer service that compelled me to write this review. You and your car will be in great hands with Luis Auto Repair.

Luis used to be the legacy auto repair space across from Wrigley, now he's over on Western. He's wonderful and he cares about the quality of his work. You simply can't do better than being in the hands of a great master auto body repairman. Very fair pricing too!

The very best body shop in all of Chicago if you ever get in an accident I 100% recommend to take your car here. The best customer service with incredible quality work that goes quick with the highest level of professional people in the business. I highly recommend going here.

Did a great job repairing my car. Even cleaned the car on the outside and inside. Greg and his staff are very friendly and communicative. A lot of history too, this place used be right across from Wrigley!

My car was destroyed by a valet while I was at a restaurant. I could not believe it was fixable, but Luis Auto Repair did am amazing job restoring it. Professional and fair prices. I am thankful I got my car back.

I went a year ago here and they supposedly ordered some parts to fix my headlights and they never came in, and I would call Luis to ask him what s going on and he ignored my calls and never reached out to me again. I had a bad experience here and don t recommend this place.
