I am so overjoyed that I found Lefty s Auto to replace my brake pads and rotors. Getting mechanical work completed for my car makes me extremely anxious due to prior negative experiences so I was relieved to meet competent, honest, and patient professionals at Lefty s Auto. The service was quick and their prices are reasonable (I conducted some research beforehand). I needed to go on a road trip the next day and they were able to get everything done before my trip which included at least 22 hours of driving. I m writing this review after I have completed my trip and my brakes worked perfectly. I have definitely found my new go-to shop for my car. Thank you, Brien and team!

It was the best experience Ive ever had before. My oil pan was broken and all the oil licked which caused engine damage. I changed oil pan from them and they did really great job and I got understanding of situation from them which is not expected everywhere. I really appreciate those guys who helped me that day.

I had great quality service here. They kept in contact with me every step of the way to let me know what was going on with my jeep. I was impressed with the turnaround time. I am so happy to have heat in my jeep! I highly recommend lefty's!

I purchased a 1979 Lincoln last Winter and I brought it in for an oil change and a tune up and inspection. Lefty's called me back and just charged me for an oil change. I said I have an old car that I just purchased I want a complete tune up and they told me everything looked great and it did not need it.They saved me a lot of money and did great work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Great service! They provide text updates, and you get a full online report with photos after inspection. Rip off. And don t reply to me about anything I m not going to call you back or anything. The people who ran this place are gone and the new guys are leeches. They are definitely going to keep having you come back over and over and over until they suck your pockets dry

I recently had the charcoal canister replaced due to damage caused by debris on highway. Lefty's did a great job with diagnosing the problem honestly, and then making the repairs in a timely fashion, They handled the ordering of the part from the dealership, following it through and replacing it effectively. I find them honest and trustworthy. Their prices are decent with no surprises. Brien, at the front desk, is very professional, polite, respectful. He explains the problem in a simple way and offers honest advice when asked. I have had at least 2 major jobs done here on two of the family cars. I will return should, God forbid, my car needs any serious attention!Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

Made an appointment for oil change and inspection of the rear brakes. Received a reminder of my appointment which I did not expect. Lefty s let me know approximately what the total cost would be and time it would take to do the work. Very nice place and price range is very reasonable. I needed an oil change and also the check engine light was on. They graciously did not charge for the check engine light diagnosis as the car had to be taken to the dealer for the resolution. Went in to get AC fixed and after 2 hours of waiting I came back in and got the classic we were just about to call you line. Then they told me it would be $1500 and take the rest of the day. I didn t have time to leave it so paid $80 for their time which apparently messed everything up. They couldn t give me a detailed estimate after asking multiple times.If you can t give me a detailed estimate and explain why I need the work done I don t feel comfortable spending that much money.I had gone there before for an oil change where they also offered more services which I declined but they were kind so I went back but after finding someone else to fix it for only $600 I will not be back. Oh also one of the items they said needed to be replaced in fact did not.Service: Oil change

We have been using Lefty's since 2012.They have replaced my belts, brakes, changed my oil, etc.I love their new diagnostic system.It really puts my mind at ease.My car started to make some super scary noises this week and emit a terrible smell. I also needed to replace my driver side headlight assembly. I dropped my car off in the morning and had my car finished and ready to go by 3:30pm.They never try to sell you anything that doesn't need to be done.They are honest, fair, friendly, and do the job quickly.My car drives like it is brand new again.I highly recommend using them.Update on 3/28/23.Lefty's continues to exceed my expectations. Went for a 2nd opinion about my brakes. Car dealer service recommended replacement of brakes and refurbish rotors back and front. Lefty s did an inspection and found both brakes had more life and did not need to be replaced at this time. Appreciate the honest inspection.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

My SUV needed a lot of suspension work. I also had leaking gaskets at several spots. Lefty s Automotive did a great job at a reasonable price. My car broke down, I was in town working from out of state. They fixed my car for a reasonable price and let me store my car for 3days until my work schedule allowed me to pick up my vehicle. I recently got an oil change and tire rotation from Lefty s Automotive before a long trip. Everyone was amazing. From the phone call to set up the appointment to dropping my car off to picking up, it was all super easy. I was referred to them by a family member and now I see why. We have spent thousands of dollars at Lefty s throughout the years but it s not the same anymore. Bill retired in January and Jimmy left which were really the two people that ran it like an honest shop. Customer beware: Lefty s is no longer a local neighborhood shop but rather was bought out by a larger Michigan based company with many stores across the Midwest but they get to keep all of Lefty s fabulous reviews from before. With Bill & Jimmy gone - the shop is now run by a slick money making manager with a dealership mentality - you know what I mean. Prices shot up and suddenly all kinds of extras were needed. I see other reviews posting about how grateful they are for the new managers maintenance suggestions but that s simply a sales tactic that dishonest repair shops have used for years. We are sad to see what Lefty s has become after being the goldmine of neighborhood repair shops for so many years. Pro-tip: Jimmy opened up his own shop just up the road still on Elston. Spread the word. And no - I m in no way affiliated with anyone. Just a former (& now disappointed) customer. They get 2 stars because for years they were amazing before the change .

We did bearings replacement, oil change and new brakes. We been going to Leftys for years. Always fast service and will give you a loaner car if one is available. We were happy with the work they did on our Subaru. We just drove it about 900 miles over Thanksgiving and the car drove great.
