Amazing shop and fantastic owner. My 2013 Porsche Cayenne had a rough engine and smugger was vibrating dramatically. Was about to tow to the dealership but was suggested by a friend to go to here. Wilson not only did the job fixing my catalytic converter, but also saved me lots of money. Almost a quarter of what dealership had offered.I am an electrical engineering PhD candidate at Northwestern. I am always curious what are the problems of my car and how are they going to fix it. Wilson showed me the issues and each step they employ to fix it. Crystal clear breakdown for the price I paid. By comparison, dealer only knows to replace the whole part and charges me tremendous labor fee with opacity to see what I paid for.Also, the noise I had for three years from the engine is fixed. Went to dealership for many times but never get fixed. I thought I was going to sell my car very soon and blamed Porsche is such a rubbish brand. However, now the car runs smoothly and silently. It's totally a different type of driving experience.Wilson also did a complete check for the overall condition of my car. Test drived on the highway and offered me great advices in the things I should fix. Overall, GREAT GREAT GREAT. Wilson goes beyond what he is asked to do and try to help customer. That's very important!!Also, be prepared to learn and communicate with him. Don't be a rude and arrogant customer. Respect is mutual. 4S

I appreciate the shop doing so efficiently. I had my tire flat, they charge me as normal price $60 even I have a new BMW IX. They won t try to charge you higher just because you are in urgent. Don t worry, come in for repair.

Wilson and his team went above and beyond for us to solve our car problems. As we have a foreign car it was nearly impossible to find someone who was willing to help us, due to the fact that no parts are available. After they adjusted, cleaned and repaired our malfunctioning parts, we are on the road again. Excellent work, fair pricing and a friendly team. Thank you very much!

Charged me for diagnostic and didn t do it how they said me it s gonna be, counted big sum for repair and other 3 services told me that I didn t need all of those what they told me , don t recommend

I needed a tire repaired and I called that morning and was told I could bring my car to the shop in 1/2 hour. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my tire but he said they could fix it. They also checked another tire that was very low and fixed that as well. I appreciated the extra step they took in checking out the other tires and fixing the additional tire. I would definitely use them again.

Would very much recommend bringing your vehicle to this great shop! They have great customer service and they tend to your every request. I had a new tire shipped here, once delivered I came to have them install it and asked for a tire alignment which was done in a timely manner. Very please with the overall price as well. I've brought in my 2007 335xi for multiple maintenance repairs and never had problem. Very professional and honest, always keeping you updated on your car. I've had my valve cover done and other suspension components replaced at an excellent price and very good quality work. I've referred my friends to this shop and they end up referring their friends to come here too. Wilson is the best mechanic I have ever worked with. He s honest, reliable and trustworthy with the work he does. I ve been working with him for the past two years about anything and everything. I have had mechanics who has even damaged my car when they were repairing it. I have no doubt that Wilson will do the best job as always. I trust him with my brand new car since the day 1. Best mechanic and crew. I brought my 2016 Corolla LE for body work and alignment. Guys did a good job in terms of body work but my car started pulling to the left badly. Then I brought my car again to have that issue fixed. The owner was very nice to do it for free. Overall, very good shop. They were able to spot the poor work of previous shop. Recommended!!!

I have known this auto shop for a while now. They are right in my area and they mean serious business. My brother told me about them years ago and I have to say, they never disappointed me once. They fixed my wife's old corolla after it was badly damaged in the rear and made it look like new after the entire rear was destroyed in a bad accident. They fixed my family van so it can pass emissions. These guys are experts and they do the job right. They call you and break it down by explain everything from the most serious problems to the least, so you can make a decision before they do the work on your vehicle. I just recently started going back to this shop after I got ripped off at Main Auto in skokie and caught the young co owner lying to my face and being arrogant. Wilson and his team won't do this to you. My brother has been going to this shop for a long time and he always tells me what a great job they do. Every time we go to another shop, we end up coming back to Wilson and his team to fix the mistakes of other mechanics. The shop is always busy and that's the proof that they are really good and honest because the customers love the service they provide so they come back. If you need your car by a certain day/time, make sure to call or go in and talk to a service member a couple days prior so you can work out a good schedule. From my experience, I just go in and they take the car immediately. Explain the problem to them and they will handle it from there. They will call you and may ask you more questions and will give you all the detailed quotes before they do the work on it. So explain exactly what you want and they will take your word for it and get the job done. These guys are excellent mechanics. English and Spanish friendly. My only concern is that I'll be moving out of the area and won't have this shop close to me so I'll have to find another honest mechanic hopefully. But if I have to, I'll come right back here for car work.

I took my BMW 330i to this mechanic shop and I m glad I took my car here. The service was good and they did a fantastic job on my car. They help me get the best price on my break pads and tires. They offer a great service in Spanish and English. I take my car for serious issues or even just for simple jobs like an oil change. I know for sure that Wilson or JuanCarlos will get the job done. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!

After about 3 weeks of working on it owner said it was ready. I was under impression that 5.000$ ( paid in cash ) later in repairs car will be fixed like the owner said. But after I picked up the car ...Radiator was leaking coolant , exhaust pipe was damaged still had exhaust leak , they put a new hood for me but never installed the hood holders , hood wouldn't open properly , water went inside the headlight and ballast was dead, front right wheel was bent , tire damaged and the whole car was shaking (supposedly they did alignment and balance)EDIT : Owner called me after I posted this review to ask me why I did not bring the car back to him. So I sent him receipts for (1900$)additional work that was preformed AFTER the car was picked up from his shop. Surprisingly he did not offer any refund or shop credit , absolutely nothing to take care of this matter. To his question why I did not bring the car back to him , this review should be a good enough answer.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Painting, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim, Wheel alignment

I took my car here because it was the closest place to my house that does an alignment. I am so happy that I took it here! they did a great job. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. They give a good price range with everything they do.

Excellent Customer Service,They are very professional and punctual !like always for years Wilson and his crew been taking care of our personal vehicles plus my husband takes his 21 foot long box commercial truck there and they always do a Great job! This shop its beyond 5 stars for sure, It is really the most trustworthy shop by far!they will take care of you and always go above & beyond to make sure you are satisfied % if you are looking for an excellent service for your vehicles where you won t get ripped off this is the right place to go,I definitely recommend this place to you all, you will be always satisfied with their job for sure.

I took my vehicle to 3 different shops for a horrible rear clunking noise, nobody was able to figure out what was going on. Wilson and his team went above and beyond to figure out what the issue was. I always have my work done here. It's hard to find a honest mechanic but these guys, especially Wilson, are pretty much straight to the point. Wilson tells me what my issue is with the car and is honest about all the work that will be done.Highly recommended

Took a Jeep Cherokee Classic to have a 4.5" lift kit installed. I could not find an auto shop near me that would do the work. Most places I came across were out in the suburbs. Luckily for me Lawrence & California Auto Care is a shop that can install lift kits. The shop did an excellent job with the installation of the lift. I appreciated the periodic updates on the progress and pricing was fair.I went ahead and had new brakes installed as well, since the Jeep would need better stopping power after installing bigger tires.The shop is local (convenient location), they have skilled mechanics who do more than basic auto work, & pricing is fair.I recommend anybody seeking an auto repair specialist to check out this place.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

I ve known the owner Wilson for a very long time through my Dad for about 20 years. 20 years ago I was only 13 years old and now I am 32. Since then, Wilson and his Team had either successfully serviced, maintained, and customized all our vehicles ranging from Chrysler Town and Country, Oldsmobile Aurora, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Altima, Chevrolet Traverse, and a BMW Z4 SI Convertible. They worked from the basics of an oil change, to body paint, buffing, dent and accident removal, installing aftermarket rims/wheels, installing performance mufflers to the bigger jobs from successfully replacing an engine to putting in a better transmission just to name a few!Now I live in Skokie, but my family and I still continue to go to Wilson for all our vehicles needs. The quality, professionalism, honesty, and being the friendliest has been consistent through those years and now. He and Carlos will tell and show you exactly what the problem is, how they would fix it, and even tell you different options on how to fix the issues depending what is best for the customer. There was a recent occasion that I needed Wilson and Carlos s help because my car was not drivable and was pretty much causing some traffic. I called them during the dead of rush hour and Carlos actually drove to where me and my car was located and diagnosed the problem. He even pushed my car out of traffic s way and to get my car towed. To make a long story short, the issue was resolved.I continue to recommend Lawrence and California Auto Care for all your vehicles servicing needs. They will give you the best price and will try to work with you based on your budget, the safety of you and the vehicle. If I somehow live farther than Skokie, I will still continue to have my cars serviced at Lawrence and California Auto Care! Be careful. I came in for alignment ...after few days my car started making noise when turning both directions. I brought it back to the shop he started looking for excuses all the way from why you didn't bring it right away to I don't hear anything to it must be something else. All that and he didn't even lifted the car up to see it....he acted like a fleamarket seller

Wilson, Carlos the Mang. and the hole crew are Great.I've been taking my Old School cars..there for the past 5 years.59.Caddies, 76 Lincoln,Etc..Honest work and done in a timelymanner.Never been disappointed.difficult to fine a shop that works on Older school cars.There always willing to take on any job,from Motor Work to Body work.Always satisfied.Works on my 2014 Honda Crv..or my Hummer H 2..Even drove my Honda to Emissions test..Highly recommended....A++

Be careful, I come for alignment, after more than 30 minutes of waiting he said I can t do it except if I change your tires. Why he didn t say that from the beginning. Then he said he has tires for sale. Huh, I just left
