Johnny and L&T are top notch. Brought my aging Lexus to them knowing I needed some serious maintenance and repairs. Johnny was very honest and reasonable with his price estimates and communication and went the extra mile for my car. Will be a regular customer going forward

If you're reading this review considering where you take your car, save yourself some time and choose L&T Auto!Johnny is the man and will take great care of you and your car needs. Honesty and transparency isn't something I'm used to at auto shops, but Johnny fits this to a tee while providing the most competitive pricing around. He puts the customer first and doesn't push extra work just for $. You can tell he really cares about his customers a lot and works incredibly hard.Transparency, highly competitive pricing, and quality work. Johnny and his team at L&T are the only place in Chicago I will take my car. As a woman, it s nice not feeling like the entire shop is taking advantage of me! L&T has years of product knowledge under their belt, plus efficient turnaround times and fair prices. They have my business forever!

Johnny and his team are knowledgeable and honest. They're straightforward and never try to upsell or scare you into buying more than you need. On top of that, they always provide kind service. I'm glad to have a local neighborhood auto shop I can trust with L & T!

My car was being parked by valet in the Loop when (we later discovered) an axel broke. Johnny organized a reasonably priced tow and had my car repaired within 18 hours. He identified a number of additional concerns and respected my decisions to have some of these (filters, battery, brakes) tended to another time. My only regret is that Johnny is in another state than I am so I won't have opportunity to return to him for future repairs.

Johny is hands down the best mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is a true master of his craft, with an unparalleled level of expertise and attention to detail. But what sets Johny apart is his genuine honesty and integrity. I have an older car which needs a lot of work that I don't necessarily want to have done at the same time. He always provides fair and transparent pricing, taking the time to clearly explain the work that needs to be done without any unnecessary upsells. You can trust that he has your best interests at heart. Not only is Johny exceptionally skilled, but he also deeply cares about his customers. The service at Johnny's Automotive is friendly, personable and makes you feel right at home. I ended up taking a selfie with Pedro, another one of the mechanics I've been going there for years and they are consistently top notch. Highly recommended!

I ve been taking my car to L&T for several years now and am always happy with the service and work here. Prices are fair, and Johnny/his team are great at diagnosing problems with good recommendations without pushing unnecessary work. Johnny is very honest, and I ll be trusting him with my car for any other future issues/maintenance!

L&T and Johnny are the best. They are very honest and straight with you, I never have felt they are trying to take advantage. They re also flexible when you need to drop off or pick up, and fairly priced. I will trust them for all my future car needs!

They were able to fit me in day of for a small repair and were done within a couple of hours. Johnny was extremely communicative and efficient, and made the whole process way less stressful. Definitely my go-to shop for any car issues.

I called Johnny from L&T auto repair at around 230-3pm on a Saturday just to get a price for a total brake repair not thinking he'd be able to work on them. He not only took on the project that late in the day but he stood late to make sure I had my vehicle done like he promised. I've NEVER had any mechanic stay late on a weekend for a brake job, it's unheard of! He also gave me updates as I waited which was another thing I've never experienced from a mechanic. This is by far the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic and he definitely has a new customer for life even though I live on the south side and he's on the northwest side. If I could I would give him 10 stars out of 5!Thanks again Johnny!

We visited Johnny to get new brakes and he got the job done within a day! He was extremely communicative and explained everything well. We have a Hyundai so he also suggested some great anti-theft tools for the city. We will definitely be back for oil changes and maintenance!

Wish that I could give more than 5 stars. Johnny is the best mechanic in Chicago. He always puts the customers best interest first. These guys do an amazing job, work quickly/thoroughly and for a great price.

I ve been going to Johnny regularly since 2019.As an adjunct professor with a tight budget Johnny was always able to help me out. He s upfront about pricing, gives options based on your budget, and always gives you tips on vehicle maintenance. He put me on a maintenance schedule so I could anticipate what would need to be replaced and how to financially budget for the repairs.He goes above and beyond. One time my battery had died and I needed a new one. The version in his shop was the most expensive, and at the time, out of my budget. He said he would order me a cheaper one and in the meantime let me borrow the battery from his shop so I could teach. Two days later he swapped out the batteries.Honestly, people like Johnny are hard to find. He s smart, talented, and a good businessman and that s priceless.Family owned shop and it shows.Skip the dealership just call Johnny!

The customer service at this auto repair shop is terrible. My wife went here for a repair her appointment was for 10:00am When she went to drop the vehicle off she was speaking with a lady in the window about another concern. The woman was talking on the phone with the owner who must didn t know he was on speaker phone. My wife heard the owner say she was getting on his nerves. If you are being paid to do a job and a customer has concerns you should have no problem answering your questions. This is your job that you are being paid for. We were told the vehicle would be done in a couple of hours. My wife hadn t heard from them so she called at 4 to see if the car was ready for pick up. He said no and had a really bad attitude as if she was wrong for calling to inquire about her vehicle. Very Unprofessional
