This shop has earned my loyalty and I recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic on the north side. I never feel taken advantage of here, I m always well communicated with, and transparency with cost is always appreciated. They re quick with service and always professional. As a woman, it s hard to find an auto shop that respects you, your time, your money, and not talk to you like you re dumb. They ll be my go to for as long as I live in the area.

I have been coming here for a while and I came across this place by looking at highly reviewed mechanic shops.I drive an Audi A6 so finding a shop that works on this car is a challenge. Whenever I do find a mechanic, they will charge an arm and a leg because of how difficult it is to do work on this car.I decided to give this shop a try about a year ago and I will never take my car anywhere else again.This place is owned and operated by a father and son, both of which are very knowledge, honest and stand by their work.You don't have to worry about any shady actives, price gouging or run arounds, they will tell you exactly what the issue is, how much the cost is and then they will get the work done in a timely manner. If you're looking for a new mechanic that you can trust, this is the place you want to go to.

Very friendly, helpful, and honest family buisness. We drove over an hour to look at a truck. We did not end up purchasing it because we wanted something bigger. I was messaging back and forth with Daisy for a few days prior. Her and the mechanics spoke with us when we arrived. and they were both very honest and friendly. I would buy a vehicle from them anytime.

Very kind and knowledgeable mechanics and staff who go out of their way to show you things and explain to you in detail about what they are doing or have to do with you vehicle. Cost is a bit higher than other locations but the service is top notch. They even threw in some small repairs on the house which I appreciated tremendously. They re now my go-to auto repair shop.

I ve been coming to L&L for a few years for standard maintenance and even a few issues that required significant work with my older VW. Jr. and the crew are always empathetic and honest, and very affordable.Most recently I had my catalytic converter stolen and Jr. and the shop couldn t have been better about helping me navigate the insurance claim process and working with my insurance company in my behalf. I ve had nothing short of a perfect experience every time I ve been in the shop and always happy to give L&L my business.

I m a little late on the review as I took my car here in the summer. We had some suspension work and an oil change done. Very friendly people. I was able to drop my car off in the morning since I live close and they called me when it was done. They charged exactly what they quoted me. I plan on coming back as I need some more work to be done.

Awesome first time experience, will definitely be back! Live the neighborhood and popped in on a Saturday to see if my grinding breaks could be checked out. They got me in and fixed breaks right away. Super nice and helpful staff! Reasonably priced too! My friend down the block has also used them and highly recommends.

My go to auto shop! It s so rare to find reputable mechanics that dont screw your over, so now I tell all my friends about this place!! If you live anywhere in Chicago with a car that needs service, I HIGHLY recommend you go here!!

Six stars if I could. These guys don't play around. Fair pricing, and they will not try to sell you anything extra you don't need or want. They occasionally service my old Mercury sedan that is by no means cosmetically perfect and they treat it like they would a brand new Bentley in their shop. Finding a mechanic you can trust is not easy, but your search can end here.

I m so grateful I found their auto service! As a woman, it has unfortunately been a frequent experience of mine when taking my car into other shops or dealerships that I am told additional services are absolutely necessary despite only coming in for an oil change and then attempt to charge me hundreds more. At L & L they have been thoroughly honest and helpful every single time and they do not take advantage of my lack of knowledge, but rather work to inform and educate me. When they suggest certain work be done, it is very clear that they have considered the cost and necessity and have worked with me to find good options. Most recently, I replaced all my tires as they were really worn down. They knew my price point and didn t try to convince me to spend more. Truly, I m so grateful that I can trust their integrity and quality of work. They are wonderful and I recommend them to everyone!

Just an absolutely classic shop experience. Luis & Junior are two of the nicest people around, honest, super knowledgeable, and they will do everything they can to make sure you're getting repairs at exactly the right price. They actually made my car's initial warranty worth the money by catching every eligible repair before the warranty period ran out. No need to look further, call these folks first.

I trust L&L with my vehicle, and have even purchased a great vehicle from them. I ve been a customer for years. They always give you exactly what need, and are always fair, and reliant. Just purchased my all new tires from them, rides like a new car. Thanks guys.

We brought our car in for some body work, get the seatbelt fixed, and replace the muffler. Luis was very responsive and communicative about the whole process. It took a while only because of insurance. He always called my insurance company to make sure they were all on the same page. We picked the car up today and it look amazing. They also do a free car wash so my car looked immaculate on the inside. We definitely recommend l and l to anyone!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Went in to get my driver mirror replaced. Junior was extremely polite and helpful. He was very honest about what needed to be fixed and the pricing. Everyone is always asking for a mechanic that is trustworthy and knowledgeable. Luis and Junior are both. They fixed my mirror quickly and frugally. This is a multigenerational business and these guys are angels. Would give them 10/5 stars if I could.My car has had very difficult to diagnose issues. Has had to go back a few times (100% not their fault, they've driven it for hours trying to get it to show issues and properly diagnose it.)Have been extremely gracious with pricing and transparent about labor and part options. Will always walk you through what they are doing and why.They will treat you like you know what they're talking about even if you don't.I never ever hesitate to recommend them if anyone says they need auto work done. This is the spot! no BS no surprises. Had hit and miss luck with auto shops until i found L & L. They got all the work I needed done in one day even though they needed to order a part the didn t have. Luis Jr explained everything to me so well that I understand all of the work they did on my car. Car feels great. He tells it straight and he was super helpful. Topped of my fluids and rotated my tires too. Won t be going anywhere else from now on. you won t regret bringing your car here.Services: Auto brake repair, Tire rotations, Brakes

L & L is truly an amazing auto service shop! I love how this is a family business and both the father and son are super professional and personable. They are always dedicated to finding the issue and solving it! They are also super trustworthy, which can be hard to come by in the city. I was recommended to this shop by my boyfriend who has been coming to them for years. He has always had positive experiences with them as well. L&L is the best! When our cars are in need of repair I don t even think twice, L&L can do it all. Today, I had a flat tire. Junior came over to our house & filled up my flat so we could get drive it to the shop without further damage. Amazing customer service! This is a great place to get your car repaired - straightforward, knowledgeable with excellent, prompt repairs.L & L was my third stop after trying to get my car repaired at two other shops I found online. I needed two repairs. One was a safety issue and L and L was able to fix this while I waited. Luis gave me an appointment for the more involved repair and my car was fixed and ready as promised. Good place - good work.

Luis Jr & Sr. Are hands down the best mechanics I've EVER been to. Completely trustworthy, honest, friendly, and zero upsell. Cannot recommend highly enough. Have referred many and all agree. Go here already.-Cucumber guy.

While running errands on Saturday, the splash guard under our car got mangled after running over a piece of concrete that fell off the back of a truck in front of us. The car was not drive-able due to the horrible scraping noise the broken piece made against the pavement. We just happened to be nearby L&L Auto Service, so we called to see if they could help. Luis Jr. made time in their busy schedule to get the old part removed that same day. He helped us to order the new part from Honda, and they installed it the following Tuesday. These guys are always respectful and professional. It took a while for my car to be fixed due to issues outside of the repair shop. I was frustrated and got kinda rude on the phone (which I apologized) and they still were super respectful. They even had someone ride with me to my place because I had forgotten my insurance check. Great guys, great work, again super respectful and professional. They have integrity and aren't scammy which is rare.Service: Auto body & trim repair
