Do yourself a favor and bring your car here. My car is 14 and I've been coming here for 5 years. If you want an honest and affordable mechanic, this is the place.

Very nice people. Affordable. Honest. I took the car in for a snapping motion in my steering. They replaced a damaged tie rod for $150. I dropped it off in the morning and they had it done by the afternoon. I asked about my squeaky brakes and they said my brakes are fine, just rusty (could have easily told me the brakes needed work, but they were honest). Don't let the cluttered office deter you from coming here. They don't put much investment into advertising or making the place look pretty. It's a simple mechanic shop and they get the job done. So far I had a great experience and will go back.

Amazing!, fast and very affordable!!! Please read on: My Father knew Mr. Kim for many years and always raved about him as a person and his work. Now I know why. A very good man, honest, upstanding and cohesive.What I went in for: I had a recurring issue with an axle seal and it turns out the axle half shaft was installed improperly at one point. The seal was leaking and I kept delaying by personally refilling the front differential to delay the repair until more affordable. It finally gave way and since Andy was nearby and I needed my car for the weekend, I called his shop. It was in the next morning, diagnosed within 20 minutes and repaired before 5pm!The axle was properly installed, seal replaced beautifully and the fluids topped off, everything (disgusting gear oil) was cleaned up. Upon picking up the car, I received a detailed receipt, and notes about the issue. He explained everything to me that was done and why. I will be recommending his shop to many more people.Excellent Experience!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My favorite no-none sense mechanic in OIP. Kim s is right by my parents house, and a place they have been taking their cars for years- otherwise I probably would have passed right by and not given this mechanic shop a second thought. They don t have huge signs letting you know it s open, and the place looks like it was kind of randomly plopped on the corner, but trust me it s a gem!Last time I was here, took my 2016 Buick in because I was having issues getting it to start. Wasn t sure if it was a battery issue or alternator, and as per usual I m always afraid of getting up charged at a mechanic since I m clueless about cars (and probably look the part too). Mr Kim was able to look at it right away, was like you need a new battery, we ll do it now, $175 parts and labor, does that work? . Of course it does when the dealership service center quote was like $300+ just for the parts. I was in an out in about 40 min all in all, haven t had issues since, and am fairly certain if I did they would take care of me no questions asked.I m not sure what is the extent of services they offer, but for quick basic mechanic needs, I would definitely recommend!

OMG! $400 just for labor only for replacing brakes/rotors, or $100 per tire. FYI ppl, don t go here, they are super expensive for a few hours of work. and trying to talk to the person there was very difficult. Keep shopping around.

I have been going to Mr Kim for years. He is very honest and never tries to upsell any unnecessary repairs. He will diagnose the repairs the first time. His work is always done promptly at a reasonable price.
