My major complaint is that they wouldn't provide a print out of what was wrong with my vehicle when I paid for it. I went in to get my vehicle inspected because I was hearing sounds when I go over a bump. Anyway, Interstate Auto repair said that they will give it a diagnostic test and let me know what the problem was. We'll the diagnostic test cost $160 and I was told that I needed break pad and a sway bar and something else. I paid for the diagnostic test and I asked for a print out of what was said to me(I'm not a mechanic) I was told that it was a visual inspection and they couldn't give a print out. I was very disappointed and come to find out that I didn't need brakes at all. This place is scamming people out they money.

Never bring your car here. They are dishonest and crooked. I had to record the way they acted. I finally got my car back, fixed the "3hr job" in about 45 minutes. To realize they intentionally popped my tires. I was so upset. But that was nothing compared to realizing my medication was missing. Still haven't found it. And I find it nothing short of a coincidence that they have no cameras. Please don't go here. I even heard the guy calling a customer to lie for more money. Just not right. Keep in mind that all their reviews are from ppl that they could be related to. You can find the video on my Facebook. I arrived at 12pm. Not 3pm. Also, if you don't believe me, go back and read their responses to past negative reviews. Very unprofessional. But I'll be pushing for this business to be shut down. The attorney General. BBB and IRS will be getting detailed information from me. I'll be sure this doesn't stand.

It was a terrible experience! I didn t even want to rate it a star! Don t come here unless you want to get ripped off! They are extremely pricey and they also have no respect for their customer !! I rate it a -5.

Abe is incredible. Honest, up front, informative, and genuine. I had a problem with my braking and called him the moment he opened explaining it was an emergency. He promptly fit me into his busy schedule and, despite damage caused by a precious repair, got me out of there fast and safe. Even as a first time customer he went above and beyond by inflating my tires. Reasonably priced labor and parts. My new go to mechanic in South Chicago.

Great repair place for the basics! I got my brakes and rotors replaced 8/17/22; called in at 9:00 am and fixed by 3:00 pm the same day. This facility is cash only, which can be an issue for some customers! My repair was on a 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid which has electronic rotors (more expensive to fix/replace). Repair was around $1,300, which is about the same you will get going to any shop. After waiting 2 years to get new brakes and rotors that were completely worn down, this was done with relative ease. I d recommend checking them out and getting a diagnostic ($60-$80) if your curious.

Had my hub bearing changed here today and had an excellent experience! He not only made sure my work was done correctly but he also made sure it was done as soon as possible because I had to be at work, that was very much appreciated! I also had my other car taken there for work today because I liked their service so much. It s hard to find honest, good mechanics now a days so if you need one HE WORKS THERE! Worst experience I've had with a mechanic ever. I should've known by looking at how run down the place looks that it was risky but I needed to tow my car to a repair shop near my location. They fixed one electrical problem but caused other electrical issues that weren't there previously. I tried to talk to them and rectify the situation but they tried to place the blame elsewhere and were rude about it. Instead getting back ignorant with them like I wanted to, I decided to handle this a different way. Do business with these people at your own risk. I highly don't recommend. Your better off with Woodlawn auto care across the street from them

My first time getting service done to my car from them and they were very friendly, affordable and had me in and out very quickly! I haven t had any issues with my suspension since they worked on it. 10 out of 10 for their services and I d definitely come back when I need more work on my car! Charged me $600 to bleed my brakes and clean my rotors. And then made me give them 5 stars. I get my car looked at months later and the brake likes were purposely messed with so I d have to come back in a few monthsService: Brake service & repairService: Brake service & repair

I ve been to so many mechanic shops but I m thrilled to finally find my lifelong one. I dealt with Abe who is the owner and you know he is just down to earth and telling you the way it is. He never tried to upsell or act like other things are wrong with my car (which every other shop I ve been to has trued to do). BEWARE!!! They tried to charge me over $1,500 on a brake job that costing me $600. I spent a $100 to have the vehicle checked and normally at a reputable business they provide you a computer generated quote but they gave me the piece of paper I have provided in this review. Initially he hadn t put the price on the hand written quote but gave me the paper without the price and I asked that the price be written on the paper and he had one of his mechanics write it. I can only give you my personal experience with this thief and if you go into this den of thieves it will be at your own risk. If you have a halfway decent vehicle that s when he ll attack. After getting a real quote I had no other choice but to call him and laugh in his face. WATCH OUT FOR VIPERS!

Clean work. They take there time to do it right, every bolt was polished cleaned down, work was done great. I came in for a power steering pump and a hose to be replaced, very satisfied. Most mechanic I been to like to hack in the work for the money they about the passion

First, let me express my gratitude and appreciation for the professionalism and excellent customer services provided to me by Abe and his staff. When I called the shop at 6:30 am, Abe answered the phone immediately and talked me through the process of what I needed to do to get my car to the shop. They were extremely patient with all my questions and concerns and explained every step with me thoroughly. It was determined that I had no oil or antifreeze in my car and recommended full maintenance check and tune up on the vehicle as I had never ever had one. Although their were other problems with the vehicle, they did not try to stiff me with unreasonable charges and got me back on the road again which will enable me to pass my vehicle emission test. He or his staff always answers their phone when I call. They are definetly the BESTService: Auto emissions testing

Only because I had to give a star but these ppl are not good paid 2500 to get my car fixed last year and the problem still exists, the man did not wanna talk face to face he took my money and told some young man to handle his problems, this young guy has no idea what tf he doing he couldn t answer my questions, when I asked to speak to another person I saw this fool on the other side waving me off, ppl do not trust these guys ..this yo warning

Stopped in to have my truck checked because my check engine oil light kept coming on. He took his time to explain to me why the light was coming on and fixed the problem right then. I will be coming here anytime I have a problem with my truck. A decent experience but not a fan of only cash places and wasn't a fan of having to pay half before the work was even done and because of their system couldn't get a total cost till the work was finish, just wasn't a fan of the whole process.......I had to leave my car there cause it was towed there and unfortunately because it wouldn't start and I would have been charged $120 diagnostic cause it was looked at it.. Wasn't worth it to take it some place else but overall work was done fast and car was fixed

Had my truck in for repairs and they did an excellent job. They were so good and knowledgeable, explaining everything to me before proceeding, to get my approval. Their pricing is comparable to other shops, maybe even a little less. But well worth my 20 minute drive. Highly recommended for any of your automotive needs.

Usually skeptical when it comes to mechanics but after a simple conversation, they have proven to know exactly what they are doing and talking about!I was shown everything that was done and even informed of work that was not completed by another shop!If you want quality, knowledgable tech and good service; this is the place to come!

I have been doing business with this shop for over 8 years and have yet to be disappointed. Ickeris and Abe are wonderful and very pleasant to do business with. Whatever the issue i have with my vehicle and they are always able to assist me and are honest if its something they can't do(which is not very often) I highly recommend this shop for any of your car repairsServices: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

I needed a blow motor and oil change for my Audi and other shops were giving me insane price ranges. I spoke to Abe at interstate auto and he took very good care of me. Great customer service and his staff was excellent. Highly recommend them!

Wish I couldchoose -0 stars...I'm glad all i had was a diagnostic! They overcharged me for a diagnostic, then tried to clean up the lie when my boyfriend called to price it. They denied upcharging me but my guy was VERY CLEAR in asking for the exact same service over the phone in which they quoted him a lower price. And of course then proceeded to inform me that because they only use NEW parts, the services that I needed was 2k worth of work and they couldn't even pinpoint the original issue that I originally brought my car in for in the 1st place. . . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Especially if you're a woman going there alone.

This will always be my go-to spot in Chicago. Amazing customer service every time. Abe is a super friendly and honest guy, he s upfront about pricing and always looking for ways to keep my bill as low as possible. Can t say enough good stuff about this place.
