Honda of Downtown Chicago is top notch! My son and I spent several weeks looking at different new and used cars and dealing with a variety of different car dealers. We finally found a 2021 Honda Civic that my son really liked at Honda of Downtown Chicago. Upon arriving we met Joey Trad who was very personable and down to earth unlike most of the car salesmen we had previously dealt with. After some brief negotiation, we were able to come to an agreement, however, we weren't able to take the car home right away. Joey made sure it was washed and detailed when we arrived to pick it up the next day. We also dealt with John and Thomas while finishing up the paperwork. Both displayed professionalism, and genuine regard during the process. Overall it was a pleasurable experience, and I would highly recommend them to someone looking to purchase a vehicle. Job Well Done!

I highly recommend Gerardo he is very professional answered all my questions very non pushy sales tactics which was great. I highly recommend future customers to go see him you will not be disappointed. Purchased this on 02/06/2023 Honda civic 2023 sport I couldn t have had a better purchase.

The buying experience here was fine, but the services are outrageously overpriced. I paid extra when I bought the car so that labor for oil changes and tire rotations would be covered if I got the car serviced at the dealership for 7 years. Every single time I've brought it back, the service department seems to have no idea about this warranty and I've had to go through finance to get it taken care of.Additionally, I had a routine service where parts were $249, which seems like a lot based on what I got, but fine. However, the labor costs for a half days work were an astounding $989. This doesn't include the "covered" labor for the oil change and tire rotation. I dropped off my car before work and was told it was ready in the early afternoon. The amount they charge is ridiculous and I will not be coming back here again to do anything except the oil change and tire rotation.Looking at other service reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one who's gotten price gouged. Definitely the last time I go here for anything except a routine oil change and tire rotation.

I went for an oil change and left with a new car. I was looking at a new pilot elite when Fred approached me. I guess he noticed I liked the car because he had the keys ready for a test drive. He was so helpful and genuine. I left and picked my kids up in a new bigger and better vehicle. Fred still checks on me to this day to make sure I m happy. Great service. Make sure to ask for him for fair treatment Thanks!

I purchased my truck back in August, which I was really excited for. When I initially made my appointment, I was told by the receptionist that I would be meeting with the used car sales manager but was met by my sales rep instead.Everything was great until I met with the finance manager, who rushed me through the entire process. He even made statements like I don t get paid enough to do this , when I ran into an issue getting more than $3000 out of my account that day due to a daily limit with my credit union. Due to the fact that it was the end of the day, I sort of brushed this off.What bothered me the most about this experience is the attitude of the used car sales manager. The day after I purchased my vehicle, I noticed that the door hinge had a missing piece when the wind blew really hard. When I reached out to the used car sales manager regarding the issue, using the number that I spoke to the receptionist on, his main concern was How did you get this number? After explaining to him, my issue, he said to take my car to the service department. When I did, I waited in the waiting room for almost 3 hours before getting told that my car would have to stay for three days to diagnose the issue. Not fix it.It was at that moment, that I really regret purchasing a car from this dealer. They have no loaners and expect you to leave your car for three days with no guarantees of it getting fixed. Not my best car buying experience and the service department definitely needs a makeover. I would not leave my car with these people for three hours yet alone three days. Honestly wish I would have read the reviews thoroughly before buying my car at the dealership.

Reviewing only their service department as I bought my vehicle elsewhereNormally the service is ok but my most recent service was a poor experience. I paid to get my rear windshield wipers replaced and sadly they were not replaced. I question if my vehicle was QA d by a supervisor. In addition the car wash was broken . My sales rep said I could bring the car back in to get it washed another time but difficult when I don t live nearby. Not an experience I would expect from a dealership. Would recommend other locations if possible

I recently purchased a car from this location and everything was smooth! I was greeted by Fred and I must say that he is one of the best car salesmen I ve ever encountered. He was transparent about what was possible with my level of credit but was still able to work with me and get me a decent car. It truly meant a lot to me. In this economy I m just extremely grateful that Fred was able to help drive away in a new car.

Gary Wilson has been my service advisor on many visits. He does an amazing job. Very knowledgeable about the cars and suvs. Always up front and honest. Tells you if you can wait on some things. Good trust factor.

I ve recommended all my friends and family to this dealership because of the experience I ve had with their sales floor. Fred Boclair was my sales person and it was the easiest time I ve ever had purchasing a car ever. I ve purchased probably about a dozen cars in my life and I ve been ripped off one or two times in the past, so I was a little hesitant about going to another big-name dealership, but this was honestly the best deal I ve ever gotten on a gently used car. The warranty was pretty outstanding. The prices were pretty pretty pretty good, and I couldn t be happier with the entire process. Fred is the sole reason why I want to go back to this dealership to purchase another vehicle whenever the time is right and he s the main person that I recommend at Honda

I recently sat in on a car purchase with a friend of mine and I must say it was one of the smoothest car purchase experience I ve ever been apart of. Fred Boclair was nothing short of amazing from how he greeted us, how knowledgeable he was about the vehicles in which would best fit lifestyle choices, the consistency in checking in on us, respect from his colleagues. It wasn t even my purchase and I felt very safe with him. I d definitely recommend everyone I know to him because he is a great example of high end customer service.

Hi,I'm Very upset with how things are turning out after buying a car from a salesman at Honda Downtown. He goes by the name of "Andrew". I have been trying to reach Andrew for a week or two due to me not having access to my monthly auto payment information. After figuring it out myself, Turns out the paper work he turned into the bank was returned back to the dealership. I tried reaching out to him again to see if he can help or explain still.. no response. Thanks to Jonathan The finance Manager everything as far as my monthly auto payment information program is now set up correctly. Turns out I was over charged as well.I also let Andrew know when I seen the car online I seen that the car "BACKSEAT" was torn, and I didn't want the car if it could not be repaired. He let us know before we signed paper work that he could get the back seat fixed for us. Which is why we went ahead with the car. Today I've been contacted by Milan who has been help as well with the vehicle BACKSEAT being fixed. Milan let me know that the pics I sent of my entire backseat is not what is said to be fixed on the paper Andrew put in. On the Paper it states that "Rear upholstery repair (center seat). My whole appointment with Andrew my main words was for the backseat to be fixed. Again I would have not purchased this car for half of the problem on the backseat to only be fixed.Andrew was fast on responding the day of my purchase and now I have not heard of him since than with all my problems and concern. At this point I am waiting on a phone call from Tracy Wilson. Hopefully the problem with my backseat can be resolved. if you want to purchase a car from Honda don't book with Andrew. Fred is a really nice salesman from my sister experience with buying her vehicle. We recommend him.

Fantastic car buying experience! I worked with Gerardo, he was wonderful. He made me feel super comfortable throughout the entire process, and there was never any pressure to make a decision. I have scheduled appointment for Sunday 10am. Also received confirmation phone call on Friday.But service is completely closed. Why you guys treating your clients like this?Do not book Sunday service they are promoting, as service can be cancelled without any notification. Thank you for wasted time on -4F temperature.

My partner and I just got a car from this location this past week with help from Wilfredo. We appreciated how he has all the specs for the car we were looking for memorized, gave us different price point options depending on the year, model, used versus new, etc. He was also very easy to reach over text (a plus for us since I dislike making phone calls with a passion). Overall we had a great experience and will definitely recommend.

My regular mechanic suggested I take my Honda pilot to this dealership because he suspected a faulty fuel injector but knew that the dealership would have the tools to diagnose the issue with certainty. He also suggested asking them to do a pressure test to see if in fact the fuel injector was causing a misfire in the first cylinder. The process with the service department at the dealership started well, they came to a similar conclusion as my mechanic. However when I asked for a pressure test, they said it wasn t a part of their process and they wanted to diagnose it according to their own system. This is where the experience started to go downhill. Because they refused to do the pressure test, they ended up misdiagnosing what the problem was. They did unnecessary work and are now charging me for a process that misdiagnosed the problem as well as the work that has not solved the problem with the engine. On top of that, they have been slow to communicate and in some instances have neglected to call me back entirely. Right now they want to charge me $1000 to receive my Pilot back with the same problems. I am hoping to contact them today and reach a reasonable solution. I would love to be able to come back here and change my rating, but the experience so far has been stressful and frustrating and I do not recommend that anybody come to this dealership with their car issues.
