I've taken three Hondas there over the years, starting when they were under a different ownership. They stand by their work, offer a fair price and are always willing to explain what needs to be done and why. Some years ago they even talked me out of having expensive work done, because they said my car wouldn't last much longer--and they were right! My car died within a year, so they saved me a ton of money.

These guys are the best for any Honda / Acura. They saved me a lot of frustration after 6+ various mechanics couldn t fix my problem. Car kept shutting off on me randomly. They spent many hours diagnosing it and most were not charged due to how strange the issue was. They were reasonable with the repair once it was figured out what the car needed. Would take all of my cars there if they were all Honda. Unfortunately they don t work on non-Hondas.

One of the hardest part of moving to a new place is finding trusted service providers. I feel so lucky to have found HAAS to service our Honda. After a bad brush with one of the local dealers, I went to HAAS to have our CR-V looked over - the shop is run professionally by kind people. The communication every step of the way was stellar. The work done fixed some issues that had been irritating us and the car is running better than it has a long time. Can't recommend them highly enough for Honda service.

Decent customer service, but I feel like they're not the most thorough when doing repairs.Several times, I've had to return after getting work done, to get more work done for something that I feel like should have been handled the first time.

As a car enthusiast who was new to Chicago, I needed a trustworthy and dependable place to service my Acura MDX.I brought my Acura for an overall inspection and they went above and beyond to keep me informed with what was going on and were very clear about the options available. I was relieved to have found an Acura specialist shop with a knowledgeable and honest team and I wouldn't bring my SUV anywhere else in Chicago. Thanks again!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Found this place as they specialize in quirky Honda issues. I messed up my Honda alarm system trying to fix it DIY-style and turned it into a hodgepodge. These guys are expensive, but worth every penny. They are communicative, clean, and transparent. For any and all weird Honda issues - Haas is a good place.

I ve been to a plethora of auto mechanics in and around Chicago and none come close to the level of professionalism, support, and reliability of HAAS. My car has had many repairs performed at HAAS. They are genuine in the work they perform and ensure that you are along in every step of the process. Every single staff member I ve dealt with has been wonderful which made me really comfortable knowing my car is in good hands. The mechanics are skillful and know what they are doing! I recommend this place to anyone who is particulate when it comes to their car like I am. 10/10 always!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

I initially sought out HAAS when I took my 2014 Honda Civic to a dealership, and they informed me that my drive shafts needed to be replaced and the work would be $1,500. I'm by no means a car expert, but I figured this was not my cheapest option. I found HAAS online and read through a few reviews, and felt pretty good going in. When I went in they told me my drive shafts still had plenty of life and did not need to be replaced for a long time. The relief of not getting expensive work done was amazing! I came back for an oil change and eventually did get my drive shafts replaced later, and I could not be happier with the service or the substantially better price. I have now been in for any issues that have popped up, and on more than one occasion I have not had anything done because the issues were not yet an actual problem. I cannot recommend this shop enough. They are thorough, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, fast, and ethical. If you have a Honda or honestly any car than this is the shop you need to go to. I will NEVER go to another shop.

I came to Haas for work on my 04 Accord on a friend s recommendation. They checked a clutch issues, brakes, and A/C, and were able to carefully drop the exhaust and install a hitch. The latter is the only thing actually paid for. They explained all of their work, communicated risks and trade-offs and progress throughout the day, documented everything clearly, maintained good pandemic practices, and as an added bonus gave me a cash discount! I would highly recommend them to any Honda / Acura owner.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Air conditioning

If you have an Acura or Honda look no further. Bob is great and honest along with all of his staff. This is the only place I go for both my Acuras. I could go a lot of other places that would be more convenient, but I go out of my way to make sure I take both my Acuras here. Trust me, you will go out of your way to go here as well once you do go.Still going and still great service!Still great!!!!Alternator went out and that same day went over to HAAS and they took care of it! Even though they had a full schedule of repairs they fit me in... Great place! The best!

I have been bringing my Hondas to HAAS for 20+ years. My wife and I have driven Hondas exclusively for the last 20+ years. I dread going to a dealer for ANYTHING. They seem to always want to sell you something. I have brought my car here after being told I needed work by the dealers . Only to be instructed that the service they told me was required , was actually not. Like brake pads for instance. If you own a Honda, there is no better place to have your car serviced. These guys are the real deal. Top notch work at fair prices. No unnecessary work is what keeps me coming back. Never leave dissatisfied.

Very professional and knowledgeable group of people. Additionally, rather than simply replacing components they will thoroughly troubleshoot issues and make a reasonable effort to only repair what is truly causing the problem.This is based on my recent experience with having them successfully repair my 2012 Honda Fit's A/C. After first pursuing the issue directly with a Honda dealership, HAAS was recommended to me by a long-time customer. Comparing costs in this particular situation, having my Honda repaired by HAAS saved me $1,016.66 after the work was complete and charged .

One of the few shops where I don't feel like I'm getting scammed. They're honest about what does and doesn't need repair and have never charged me more than I thought was reasonable. I'm a huge fan of their use of OEM parts and their expertise with Honda/Acura - I know their going to do the job right using high quality parts and materials. They haven't disappointed me in 4 years as a customer and I highly recommend them if you drive a Honda or Acura.

HAAS is absolutely amazing. I have owned several Hondas and have trusted them with each one for routine maintenance. They are knowledgeable and honest. I have also referred family members who have also been pleased with their services. Even when the stealership was unable to get to the root of the problem, HAAS did. As long as I own a Honda, I will ALWAYS trust HAAS with my vehicle.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

This place was great. They fixed my check engine light quickly and for a good price. But the real highlight was the customer service. I spoke to 2 different people on the phone and 2 other people in the shop and every person was friendly and seemed to know what they were talking about. And they even let you drop off your car overnight!I'll never go to the dealership again lol

Rick and Bob are ones to fully trust with your Honda/Acura. They are not there to mint your money. With each service, Bob has given me explanations for what parts do. They only urge you to fix critical issues and do not pressure you into non-critical fixes. Regardless, their prices are very reasonable!

I have owned two Honda Civic's dating back to 1997. When I needed the first one serviced I found HAAS because I wanted to go to an independent service center. Bob Murata is the most knowledgeable and honest repair person I have met. HAAS always does a detailed inspection of my vehicle and without pressure recommends what needs service. If the car needed to stay more than a day, HAAS always calls and clearly tells me the timetable for finishing. I won't get my Civic serviced anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I ve been going here exclusively to have my Honda serviced. Always thorough, honest, and reliable. If I had to buy another car, I d probably pick a Honda or Acura so that I could keep getting maintenance and service done here.

HAAS is an exceptional repair shop with incredible integrity and wonderful customer service. I initially took my car to the dealership (never again) to repair some minor damage from clipping a curb and they quoted me $2300. The service technician was incredibly demeaning through the whole process, at one point actually having the nerve to sarcastically tell me I "shouldn't have driven over the curb." It was a stressful situation made worse by the patronizing attitude of the technician. When I ultimately got the final quote on the repairs, I knew I wanted to get another estimate. HAAS got my car in quickly and was able to look at the damage and troubleshoot it by fixing one component at a time. They ultimately repaired everything for $750 and kept me updated every step of the way. The best part was after I got the car and paid the pill, they called me after realizing they overcharged me for a part they didn't ultimately need and refunded me $176! Incredible integrity. HAAS has another extremely satisfied customer and I won't go anywhere else for car repairs.

Top rate. This is my 4th Honda and Haas has serviced them all for the last 15+ years. I have gone to dealerships, brand name mechanics and street mechanics, but no one comes close to HAAS. They have honest and skilled staff who truly care that u get the necessary, quality service to maintain your car beyond the warranty period.

I read reviews online and decided to bring my 2000 Honda Prelude Type SH in for repairs. Long story short, it was the BEST EXPERIENCE I could ask for. I had brought my car to several mechanics before and no one could figure out what was wrong with my car. After bringing it in, Bob the owner, diagnosed what was wrong with my car in under an hour. I received a great price for amount of work done and my car runs like brand new now! I will refer any and everyone Bob's way. Not to mention, finding a mechanic this honest is almost impossible nowadays. Rest assured, if you bring your car in for repairs, you're in good hands!

My 2001 Acura (~20 years) has gotten me through some good years, and I made the mistake 10 years ago of going to a dealership. They don't know old Honda cars. So as I've moved across the country I've looked for Honda specific mechanics. HAAS is that. They are very transparent with recommended work and when something hasn't quite been solved, they'vetthey've my car back without extra charge to figure it out (power steering issue). I've been going to them for a few years now.

Very honest and professional.I came convinced I had a problem with my alternator, and they talked me out of it and saving me $770. On top of that they did not charge me anything despite testing the vehicle twice

I visited Haas for a second opinion. The Honda dealer I'd used for service sent me an email saying that during my last visit for an oil change they'd discovered significant wear on my brakes and they strongly recommended over $600 in repairs including new brake pads and shoes, regrinding the rotors and flushing and replacing all the brake fluid. When I visited Haas I didn't mention the dealer's recommendations, I just told them I'd heard some noise while braking. They test drove the car, pulled the wheels and inspected the brakes on all wheels and told me I had another 8,000 miles on my front brakes and 20,000 miles on my rear brakes. They told me they'd be no charge. Needless to say, Haas will be performing all service on my car in the future. I can't recommend them too highly.

The staff is very nice. The front desk person explains the diagnosis in an easy to understand way and gives you options to choose. They don't up sell their services. Quick fix for your Honda and Acura

We moved up here from the East Coast and thought we would never find a Honda shop as good as the one we had back home (Triangle Motors in Frederick, MD - recommended!). But a little searching turned up Haas, and today I picked up my car after its first repair with these guys. Absolutely top notch in every way. Professional on the phone, crystal clear in explaining repair policy, equally clear in explaining what needed repairs were AND a thorough run-down of what would be needed in the future, without trying to sell me anything I didn't need. They even did an "improvised" repair on part of the bumper, which would have cost about $800 to do normally (on a '96 Honda we paid $2800 for), FOR NO CHARGE. I asked if I could pay something extra for that repair, and was told "no, just keep coming back". Which I certainly will.If you live in Chicago and don't have a Honda, get one so you can get it fixed here. It'll be worth it.
