I used to cone to this place all the time. Lately it seems to be new mechanics there that are misdiagnosing cars. I came in for a break job due to hearing very loud squeaking. They found other issues as well which I paid to fix. Immediately after leaving, I still heard the same squeaking sound. When I came back the back day I was told the front pads need to be changed as well. I feel this should have been said during the initial inspection. Sad because this place used to be very reliable, unfortunately after this is resolved I won t be returning.

Going to BBB, all the News outlets and social media since this place don t care and ripping off the people in the neighborhoods.I believe they are using either cheap or used parts and then they lie about the service required. I have all records because they need to be out of business. Misdiagnosed vehicles and then not trying to accommodate anyone. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AND TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWHERE.My rating is zero.

I Took my car in for an issue with a squeaking noise to Good Year Car Care Plus, located at 1818 E. 87th St. I left the car to be diagnosed and Good Year called and said they found the solution. They said I needed to replace the struts to solve the squeaking noise issue. I gave the approval for the repair and they assured me this was the solution.When the repair was done, I picked up my car and was told there would be no more issues for the reason I brought it in. Jimmy said the mechanic test-drove the car after the repair and heard no noise. On my way to work, I noticed the car sounded the same as it did before the repair...this was a $1,258.00 repair and the problem was not solved. I called Goodyear and said the car is producing the same sound as it did before the strut replacement. I was asked to bring the car back so they could look at this again. During my second visit, the mechanic took a ride with me so I could point out the problem. Alvin acknowledged that there was still a squeaking noise during the road test.I left the car with Good Year again and got a call later in the day stating my control arms were bad and this would be an additional $1,700. I feel they misdiagnosed the issue after I was guaranteed the issue was resolved. When I asked why they replaced the struts and not the real issue, I was told they were bad and would have needed to be replaced. However, I didn t need this done to solve the issue and feel this is a money grab and unfair.Also, Abdul the owner has Good Year I believe is listed as a Black Owned Business and this is not a Black Owned Business. Their Google Reviews show many unsatisfactory customers.Lastly, when I told Jimmy who appears to be the manager I was going to the city and file a complaint, his response was go ahead people have done this before and nothing happened. This means they feel they can over-promise and under-deliver in our Black Community, and nothing will happen.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Goodyear Car Care at 1818 E. 87th, is a place I highly recommend. The service team from managers to service technicians work hard to keep your vehicle running properly and keep the owner informed as to exactly what the source of the problems are and what the optimum solutions will be. I'm very pleased with their services and will continue to be a customer in the future.

I've had four cars serviced by this shop and never a problem. One job, a 600 dollar one, they did a free do over because of a faulty part. No labor or service charges. They tell the truth, which sometimes people don't want to hear, which I understand, because we don't like to think that our rides are as jacked up or neglected as they are. I'm glad they're in my neighborhood!

This place stole $80 from me for a diagnosis. There never found out what was wrong whit my seat belt. All it needed was a new belt component. Manager Jimmy promised to rectify. I still haven't heard back from him. Let not even talk about professionalism forget about it. Associate wanted to assault me while I was there for asking questions.

Buyers beware, brought my vehicle here to get a front-end alignment and that's all it really needed these guys took my vehicle and did such a horrible job the very next day my truck was driving even worse than when I brought it in and then the mechanics took a look at it and says all we didnt have the right tool the first time we did the job so you have to come back next week. So I was like cool I'll play along. So they made a minor adjustment and we made an appointment to come in the following Wednesday. Going into Monday afternoon truck broke down because the wheels are screaming at this point cuz the alignment was so bad. Then I mechanic comes back and finally tells me all we found the problem you're going to need a lower control arm that's going to be $800 on top of the $178.00 I already spent. So if I needed a lower control arm why did they charge me $178 just to find out later why did they even do the work? Long story short I left that shop went to Highland Indiana, Levin Goodyear and those mechanics are the best they only charged me $110 to realign the vehicle and I haven't had any trouble since. So I will never be going back to shop.

I went to have 3 of my tires changed. Attendant was very helpful, inquired about which tires were a priority, then in less than two hours, my vehicle was ready for me. Staff gave me helpful guidance in the care of my vehicle, which requires replacement parts. I was finally able to get my vehicle back safely on the road thanks to this professional team.

I had a good experience with Goodyear. I got the pirelli's less than the original quote, along with a free pair of windshield wipers, which was just what I needed.The pirelli's ride nice and smooth and have made a tremendous improvement on road handling and driving.The time it took to complete the job took just slightly longer than I expected, but it was still reasonable.

Had the unfortunate experience of blowing a tire on the Chicago skyway and had to drive 3 miles to this shop. The shop was so kind and accommodating and even offered to call us an Uber as we were visiting from out of town and were on our way to the museum. We got our tire replaced in 2 hours and when they informed us that our rim was bent they didn't pressure us to get it fixed by them, which they absolutely could have because they could tell we were desperate and could have said we couldn't drive the car in that condition. That speaks volumes to me and I am so glad I stumbled into this shop.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could! I can't even say what I really wanna say on here, but If you care about your car and the money that you spend, DO NOT GO HERE! They did suspension work on my car knowing that my sub frame was either already damaged or they damaged it while doing the work! Either way, they know they should not have done any suspension work to my car with my subframe being damaged. Now I have to pay to get it repaired by mechanics who know what they're doing! They didn't even give me money back or anything. These are clearly not mechanics. They just want our money. Mr. Abdul or whatever his name is, is a joke! The light skinned guy with glasses at the front desk is a clown too! And the Hispanic guy! They need to shut this place down! I'm telling everybody NOT TO GO TO PLACE and they will be reported to the BBB and Good Year cooperation will be notified. Don't play with me. Went in for a tire stem and tpm sensor check. Thought it would be $200. They were quick to check the issue out, repaired it and let me know it was only the stem that needed repairs. Cost $30.

I went to this location to have my rear shock changed. I was charged almost $200 for diagnostic test on a problem I already diagnose and they weren't able to even do the job. A one man roadside mechanic did the job perfectly.

I purchased two tires before in today for two more. The customer services was excellent before and exceptional today. Mr. Abdul took the time to make sure I received the best service and price. Before I drove to River Oaks for all my car care needs today just around the corner. Jimmy helped me when I needed help the most. He ordered the tire I needed due to the flat right front tire that was completely demolished. I didn't have to wait until next day. The price was reasonable. Everyone was pleasant to the customers.I highly recommend this place of business.

I go to this location for small fixes such as oil changes, tire repairs, things of the liking. Visited today due to having a wooden screw in one of my tires. The gent running the main desk greeted me, and was quick at addressing the reason for my visit. Repair took about 25-30mins and cost $30. The mechanic Steve was also quite helpful in answering a quick question of mine while also making sure that my tires were secure before i pulled off. That was a nice measure.

Unbelievably exceptional and quality service!!! I ve been coming here since 2017 for my Dodge Dart and Dodge Avenger and have never been disappointed. They re better than any certified Doge dealership in Illinois. I used to receive same-day quality service. I assume they're under new management. My most recent interaction wasn't horrible.... It could use some improvement, though. When you give the customer a time/time frame, follow up with an update. A distinct difference from previous experiences.

This location provided fast and speedy service. They even were able to see me sooner than my scheduled appointment. They also checked the tire to see if it was repairable before suggesting a new tire. The tech also noticed that my spare tire rim was slight bent and pointed it out to me. They even neatly place my spare back in the trunk with tire jack and it s parts.Service: Tires

I was told 3 different times pertaining to when my car would be ready. I only needed tires replaced. I understand waiting for service but I was told I was 3rd in line to get my tires replaced when I got there at 10am. I just left at 430pm. So they changed a total of 12 tires in 6 1/2 hrs . If you want transparency you won't find it here, but the excuses are plentiful.Service: Tires

Listen. These guys are the best. I got a flat tire thanks to the lovely Chicago construction. The shop didn't have my tire in stock so the manager drove to go get a tire for my car instead of making me wait until the next day. That's some next level service and it is beyond appreciated. I live an hour away from the shop, but I'm going back to this shop to get the rest of my tires replaced because the service was that good.
