I had a wonderful experience working with Ryan and Rebecca. They re very patient and good at problem resolution. Gerber was flexible with my schedule and has wonderful customer service.

The team at Gerber on Western Avenue, including Tom, one of the techs, went above and beyond on multiple repairs to my BMW. Great communication, quality work, completed in a timely manner.

On 10/13 I spoke to Ryan who scheduled my estimate for Saturday, 10/21 at 8am. When I arrived two mechanics let me know the people who do the estimates decided to now be closed on Saturdays and to call to reschedule. When I called the voicemailbox was full. One of the mechanics finally got me in contact with Rebecca who simply said she does not know why Ryan scheduled me for Saturday but they are closed and she will call Monday to reschedule.The poor communication and very poor customer service is a huge red flag for me. I already revised my claim and will be moving forward with another body shop.

Rebecca is a superhero! Our car took some minor body damage from overnight parking vandals, and we opened a claim with our insurance to handle it. When I arrived at Gerber for an estimate, Rebecca was able to give it a once over and find the damage could be undone within minutes and allowed us to dodge the claim and cost entirely. Endless thanks for the integrity, I will be coming back to Gerber for future needs.

Ryan at really helped me out! He was extremely helpful in identifying my issue and very patient, persistent in seeing it through until it was fixed. He was very professional and did an excellent job completing the repair to my Acura. I would not hesitate in asking him for help again or referring Gerber. Ryan, the general manager is amazing! He was so helpful and truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out. A couple weeks after picking up my car from having body work and engine work completed, my car all of a sudden would not start. Before having it towed, I called the shop and asked if it could possibly be related to the work completed. Ryan offered to come look at my car to see what the problem is. He identified the issue right away, temporarily repaired it, and my car started up without issue. Then he told me to go buy the part needed and bring the car by the shop and he would install it. I cannot thank him enough for going out of his way to help me with my car. Thank you, Ryan!Service: Body & Trim

I am SO grateful for the work at Gerber Collision and Glass! Ryan, Rebecca and Crystal exceeded expectations, and helped me manage the complexities of a car break-in. They were responsive, timely, and caring. For those waiting for repairs related to the Kia/Hyundai hack, please know that parts are on back order, many facilities are backed up, and the team at Gerber are doing their utmost to manage this.

After a long drawn out ordeal at another shop, Gerber saved the day! What was going to be a 3-4 week wait for a quote (holiday season and sun zero temps) resulted in a quick evaluation and solution. The manger at this location went above and beyond to take care of our situation. So grateful for this place and the people who work here. It can be hard to know who to trust when it comes to mechanics. I would absolutely recommend this Gerber location to my best friend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I originally went to the dealership and was given a quote that I knew, needed a second opinion. I remembered the jingle from the radio and had even driven by a few times. I called and spoke to Rebecca. She was professional, patient and explained in detail what could be done. From the rental car, to the turnaround with the repair of my vehicle, my expectations were more than exceeded by Rebecca, and the amazing team at Gerber Collision & Glass on North Western Ave. in Chicago. When I first got my car back, there were some issues that I thought were a sign that they didn t take good care of my car. After cooling down, I realized that they actually did a great job with my car. They cleaned the interior which had a lot of dog hair in it when I dropped the car off, and from the way I read my bill it doesn t appear I was billed for any interior cleaning services so that s cool.The issues I had were easily fixed in just a few minutes when I brought the car back, which was only a minor inconvenience.All in all, I ve had much worse experiences at other body shops and would definitely bring my car back here again.

I brought my Lexus for repairs and they did a amazing job getting my car back to perfect shape!!! Rebecca the adjuster was great and kept me informed on the repair steps. Tom the tech doing that repairs did amazing work on the repairs looks better then Oem. Sam the manager was great at taking care of my car to make sure it came out perfect!! Highly recommend this shop for your repairs.

I was recommended to Gerber by my sister who also dealt with Rebecca and Tom for a repair of her vehicle, and will continue to refer anyone and everyone I know here. Rebecca took the time to understand exactly what happened so that she could identify the best way to fix the vehicle. Rebecca and all the staff at Gerber were also extremely accommodating. My car was hit in a hit and run with full damage to my entire passenger side (both doors dented, siding ruined). Her willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.She was amazing at keeping in touch with me throughout the entire process, sending text and phone call updates at every step of the way. I felt very reassured. She took some extra time at pick-up to rinse off my car from dust and debris. I greatly appreciated her attention to detail. At pickup, everything was smooth, quick, hassle free, and my car was in perfect condition. For such a stressful situation, I literally felt no stress or frustration while dealing with Rebecca at all. Great service! They were ready for me at my appointment time, they called with status updates when they said they would, and my car was fixed a day earlier than they'd estimated. I hope I never need them again, but I'd totally use them again if I do.

David and his staff at Gerber did an amazing job on my car. I was unfortunate to get hit by a 18 wheeler tread tire on the expressway. It did a number on my bumper, etc.The amazing collision experts made my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ES look brand new!!!Highly recommend this location.

Over charged and did not complete the work even after giving them detailed information about the damage. I personally insist the insurance company to get my car repaired at Gerber but I regret my decision.Service: PaintingService: Painting

This was my first time at this particular Gerber, but it is the same great service as the other Gerber I went to. The staff is polite, professional, friendly and fast!I would recommend this excellent auto body repair shop looking for the best service out there.

I went to this body shop on April 17th, 2021 (if I am not mistaken). I wanted to get estimate for rear bumper fix. This was the only Body Shop I went to in April 2021.Recently (about 5-6 weeks ago), I went to dealership to see how much they can offer for my car. They ran CarFax to see the history of my car. And what do you think?YES, there is MINOR DAMAGE IN CARFAX !!! And the date is April 17th, 2021!!! I AM NOT SAYING THAT GERBER COLLISION & GLASS SELLS INFORMATION OR REPORTS TO CARFAX (Because I did not see them doing it) but this looks very suspicious. In my opinion there are 2 possible scenarios:1. They sell information and report to CarFax OR2. Their system/software is not good enough to protect customer s information. So, hackers can steal the information.I am giving 1 star review because of several reasons:1. Too expensive in my opinion. Probably OK for others;2. I was not welcomed well when entered the body shop - rude receptionist;3. Minor damage was reported somehow to CarFax after my visit. They either report it or information is hacked in their system by others;4. They did not warn me about possible report to CarFax.

everything was great. But it s not. You guys told me that your rear brakes need to be changed this is what making noise. I changed but still making noise. I have paid you guys 8000$ for car but still making noise. I m regretting so that I trust you guys. I think I have to do something about it

Asked to get estimate for front bumper fix. Half a year later found out they reported me on Carfax and the value of my car reduced to $18000 from $22000. And they did not tell me about this. The worst
