We used Gerber after a recent fender bender and could not be happier. They were nice, professional and quick. The car was returned spotless. We highly recommended this place and we will use them again if needed.

I feel bad that I don't have the Service Advisor's name, but I stopped in here in November after a person bumped into my car while parked in downtown Chicago. I was extremely upset about having to pay a $500 deductible for something that wasn't my fault. The service advisor brought out one of his techs, and the tech applied a compound to the front bumper and was able to use a buffing tool to get rid of the light damage. No insurance claim needed and I so happy to avoid all that hassle. Will definitely use this shop next time something happens! AAA car insurance recommended this shop to me

Ran into the divider on LSD after sliding on some black ice and I went to Gerber to assess the damage. I was taken care of and my car was fixed in no time. I will most certainly be back (well I hope I don t have to anymore) in the future and refer anyone who needs car repair here because they do such excellent work!

Every repair they have made to my cars is incorrect or incomplete. This last time they made false claims about a nationwide part shortage as the reason why my car was not finished after 45 days. I LOCATED THE PART AND PICKED IT UP THE NEXT DAY FROM A LOCAL HONDA DEALSHIP. Discovered that none of my interior lights worked, the windshield wipers don't work, the pieces of interior plastic arent aligned, and my insurance is trying to force me to bring the cars back to these hacks. My insurance pressures(USAA) me to use them and I'm now changing insurance companies to make sure I never have to go there again. STAY AWAY

Stay away- far far away. Took vehicle in minor body work and car came out in worst shape. Tire literally fell off on the highway due to their negligence. I should have known from the start this was a recommended approved shop from my insurance that was near my residence so seemed great. Obviously too good to be true. Never followed up to book original estimate appointments so finally called and got an appointment after 2 weeks. Ridiculously wrong timeline given for repairs- one day by a certain project manager turned into 2 weeks without any explanation and zero help with a rental upon that information. Lots of misinformation via text about the completion timeline and an extra service we agreed to was not completed despite arrangements that it would be paid for outside of insurance. But I let that roll because it was extra but finally got car back and the wheel in the repaired area literally falls off on the highway. So dangerous. I had my wife and several work colleagues in the car so it was simply negligent and put all of them at risk. I can not stress enough that this location seems willing to disregard standards and good service for your insurance company s dime. You can charge them for the laser scan alignment all you want but if you don t properly tighten the bolts on a tire after 5 weeks of process, you re missing something. Again I would recommend staying as far away as possible from this shop for you and your loved ones safety and well-being.

I cannot thank enough for the service they provided.I had a leased car with scratch on the passenger door.Chris took very well care of it and painted it.All the work done was flawless and they returned a car in a week.All I can say is solid work, highly technical people, they know what they are doing.Definitely recommend.

Super helpful team, great service and although my car was a write off if I need any future work done I d be happy to bring my next car to Gerber. My insurance quote was ready within a few days even though they let me know they were pretty backed up and getting my my to them was nice and easy.

WARNING!!Two years ago we trusted Gerber Collision & Glass (w Huron location) to repair our Jeep Wrangler. We were rear-ended and our back bumper needed to be replaced. Two years later, the rear bumper began to change color from black to gray, and is now almost completely gray!! We contacted our insurance who said this should be replaced by Gerber... after many phone conversations, we learned that they used an INFERIOR after-market product instead of a comparable quality spare part. Finally we were told to email the manager of the West Huron Gerber location where the repair was done. The MANAGER of the location, JUAN D, has not responded or even acknowledged my request. This is unprofessional and unacceptable... I am completely outraged at this point that Gerber (West Huron location in Chicago) used insurance financing to replace my bumper with an inferior CHEAP product which completely changed the appearance of my vehicle!! It seems like all they care about is making profit, not at all about customer service or fixing their mistakes!Please be warned about this service location and do not believe any of their positive reviews... the products they use look shiny at first but their work is deceiving - STAY AWAY from THIS LOCATION in Chicago!!

Gerber came recommended through my insurance after my car was broken into, stolen, and taken on a joy ride through the streets of Chicago. Getting your car stolen is not fun, and Chris and his team did a wonderful job in the repair process and greatly reduced the stress involved by providing great customer service and regular updates. They deserve way more than 5 stars. I had a 2021 Kia Forte that fell victim to the Kia boys trend, in January ANDJune 2023. Both times Chris got the car in and got the repairs done in under 4 weeks. Despite the nationwide parts shortage because every single Kia is getting broken into and damaged in exactly same way. Despite the fact the every other shop I called gave a best case estimate of at least 3 months for repairs. Add to that an amazingly seamless experience with insurance. Oh, and did I mention I got the car back fully detailed and with an extra half tank of gas !!! What !!?? Couldn't recommend this place more. Chris, if you're reading this, I'm the guy with the stick shift Kia and I managed to trade it in for a fair price. Thanks so much for your help.Service: Auto glass repair

I cannot say enough about this shop! Jeff, the Production Manager, and the whole team worked a miracle for me! I was struggling to find a good time to drop off and pick up my car because of work. Insurance won't pay for your rental if you take an extra day to pick up your car. The Production Manager and Jeff had a quick discussion and decided they could get my car in and out in 1 day! 1 day! Wow! Dropped my car off in the morning, got it back in the evening. The work is gorgeous, the car was nicely cleaned, and the staff was superb.This went so far above and beyond! Other shops were telling me a week or more, these guys got it done in a day and for far less money. I will point all my friends and family to this shop in the future. I am truly impressed!Edit: Took my car here again 3 years later and was equally as impressed. Chris and his team did amazing work and kept me updated the entire time. These guys are absolute pros.

I am so happy with the quality of service as well as the customer service I received at Gerber on 1060 W Huron Street in Chicago. My car got shot and the frame, door, and windshield had to be replaced. All three employees I worked with (Bob, Jennifer and Chris, I believe) were kind, sympathetic, and did a heck of a job on my car. They said it would take two weeks - they fixed it up in THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS! I dropped it off Friday and they let me pick it up Tuesday. It was so fast I thought it was a mistake at first. When I got it, they let me know they washed it, and also detailed the inside of the car. They absolutely did not need to do that and I am so grateful that they did because having your car get shot isn't fun - they made a stressful situation so easy to navigate. My claim was covered by insurance so they billed AmFam and I only paid the deductible for my plan. I will never go anywhere else for car repairs! For starters this place lost my key to my auto start car then all of a sudden found it. Maybe to prolong the stay of my car or whatever but My accident happened Memorial Day weekend and my car is still at their shop not being worked on they still haven t gave me an estimate. They try to get the most of out your insurance. That s for sure. and although I m not paying for repairs or the storage of it being there I ve been car less for about a month.( How aggravating)They ve been giving me the run around about my car and been telling me the same thing over and over again. A month is way to long to work on a car that had very little damage. I do not recommend very unprofessional. Maybe after they see this I ll finally get word on my car who knows.Service: Tires

I would highly recommend this location of Gerber to any of my friends! I am so glad I switched here from another body shop when I was still in the very beginning of the insurance claim process, and had to decide which one I wanted to go with. The other body shop wasn t efficient at all, and that they were not as organized/flexible as Gerber. From making an appointment to picking up my fixed car, Gerber made things go smoothly and can accommodate my busy schedule! Big shout out to Chris for his attention to details & excellent customer care. Jennifer at the front desk is so wonderful at answering my questions, too! Thank you for making this an easy and great experience for me!

Great establishment. They are kind of pricey but it's a get what you pay for thing and you pay a bit more but you get amazing quality and very well worth it. They give lifetime Warranty'S on Thier work. So hey I'll pay more for that. Gerber deserves more then 5 stars but that all the system is set up to give.

Everyone at Gerber Collision & Glass are the best at what they do. I'm glad I was recommended to go there. The whole crew, from start to finish, exemplify what customer service truly should be... But Mr. Raul Rodriguez, he's the best! I was having problems getting my car fixed and he went above and beyond to make sure that car was within budget. It's an older car but understood right away what that car meant me. Raul, along which his crew of expert mechanics and body guys, did everything humanly possible to get my car back better than it went in. To top it, you think I would be grateful, but not me... I took it back because I felt a shake coming off the front tire. They couldn't feel it and they probably thought I was crazy, but again, they got it fixed. I know this is their job but everything that Raul did to get my car fixed... no other body shop would've done it. THANK YOU for taking care of my car and giving me peace of mind!

Great staff! They always do a good job. Ive had my car hit a few times and have a always brought it here. Owning in the city has been a challenge. But, knowing Gerber has my back is awesome. Raul is the man, he is friendly and professional and makes the process easy! I trust Gerber.

I brought my car to this place at the beginning of the year. Their prices are outrageous compared to other shops, and the estimators say and do anything to get your money and make sure you re out the door.The repair was delayed, but the estimator, Raul, told me that the shop would cover the rental for the extra time I needed to keep it. When I got my car back from them, I brought up the still-cracked headlamp seen under my hood, and Raul assured me that everything was fixed even after I pulled on something that was obviously loose and not supposed to be there. It was a remnant of the absorber that was replaced. I received a bill from the rental company, and asked them about reimbursement. They told me that that company is difficult and never paid for the extra time on the rental.My car was sandwiched between two others on the expressway, so I brought my car to them again. This was a different estimator who was rude and condescending. He wasn t interested in listening to my concerns from the previous repair and gave an estimate that was twice as expensive as other places. I decided to go somewhere else.After having my car repaired with even better quality than what this company could offer, I returned to them to express my concerns. The assistant told me that the general manager was away and would be back at a later date. I was fine with talking to him later, so I left. The assistant called me soon after to tell me that I could speak with the production manager instead. I agreed and was greeted by the production manager along with the rude estimator I saw before deciding to go with another shop. I let them know that the work they did was not indicative of a 5-star body shop that they claim to be. The estimator asked if I was looking for some kind of reimbursement. When I told him I wasn t, he said ok and walked away from the conversation.The production manager stayed to let me know that I am always welcome to return and have small damage fixed for free, but I don t think I ll take that offer after my experience.

Raul and his team are great people and great at what they do. Someone hit our new (<1 week old) Audi while parked. We brought it into Gerber this morning for an estimate and already drove it home today. Fast turnaround. Fair prices. Car looks incredible. Couldn't be happier!

Chris from Gerber has always taken good care of me and my old Lincoln MKZ. I worked with him at their Lakeview/Boystown location and at their W Huron location. Each visit is a pleasure and Chris and his team go above and beyond in every way possible and the quality of their work is spot on. I highly recommend Gerber Collision.

I was happy with the service that I received with my car when I picked it up. I had stored two snow shovels in my trunk for the Chicago winters. I went to get the snow shovel out today and realized that they were no longer in my trunk. I called Gerber, and spoke with Raul. He claimed that they were not responsible for personal items. Very dissatisfied with the service now.Edit:I still have no problems with the repair itself. My issue is with the customer service. I had left two snow shovels, a bike rack, and an assortment of other items in my trunk when it was towed over to Gerber. When I picked it up, I trusted that this was all there still. When the first big snow came, I realized that my snow shovels were not there. I called Gerber to explain and they told me that they were not responsible for personal items. I also contacted my insurance company to let them know and they reached out as well. About a week later, Gerber called me to let me know that they had found the shovels. I had to go pick them up. After that I realized that my bike rack was also missing. I called and asked if they had found that as well, and they said they would call me back. They did not. I called again and they told me that they had found it in the parking lot and that I could pick it up anytime after tomorrow. I called around 10 am. I think it's suspicious that I can't pick it up until tomorrow, and obviously I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but it feels an awful lot like employees too my things, and once I called them out on it they were returned back to me. My concern is that this is happening to others. Completely unprofessional.

I had scratches and scuffs removed from my vehichle last week and the entire experience working with the Gerber Collision team was excellent. From quote to booking to completion, the staff was courteous, professional, and punctual. I would use them again!

The repairs were very quick, actually finishing the work two days earlier than they had estimated. Gerber also sent me text messages keeping me informed throughout the process. And the mechanic led me through the repairs, answering all my questions. I would definitely come back in the future.

I took my car to this geber location on 1060 W Huron and they did an excellent job on my car, I got the car back in about 3 days, they kept me informed on everything that was going on with my repairs. I was upset that in the process my mats were messed up from them stepping inside the car with nothing on their feet but when I tell you that the manager Aaron went over and beyond to acknowledge my concern, to come all the way to my house to pick my mats up, he cleaned them to where they look brand new again and he was so kind to even offer to replace them if I was not happy. He delivered them back to me on a day that was convient for me. His customer satisfaction and service goes beyond anything I would have imagined or expected. Yes Aaron honestly you have a customer for life. Thank you so much for making me feel special and taking my concerns serious. you are Awesome.

I have had three accidents over the last 5 years (none of them my fault) and Gerber has been great. They run a car repair shop like a business rather than your typical mechanic. The reception area is clean, the staff is friendly and empathetic about your accident. I've referred 2 friends to this location and both thanked me after they got their car back. As an example; their was a problem with a part (a mirror installed) and I took it back recently - - they replaced it at no charge.

Had my car involved in an accident and took it to Gerber . The staff was exceptional. Raul is the main person I dealt with and he was on top of everything. Made sure my car was perfect when he gave it back to me . Highly recommend.
