Gateway Auto & Collision helped me resolve two separate insurance claims (State Farm Claim for a Rear End Accident, Geico Claim for comprehensive front bumper damage) on my BMW 4 Series. This required extensive work from their Team to communicate with multiple insurance companies all while providing good Customer Service to make sure I didn't have to do any extra work. They were great at listening to what I wanted fixed and when I noticed anything out of the usual after the repairs, they were on top of it to make sure the car was repaired perfectly.On top of this, they did an excellent job mounting and balancing a new set of Tires I ordered directly from Tire Rack. I would highly recommend them for any collision or servicing work on your vehicle.

Great customer service and a job well done. Our vehicle was involved in an accident that damaged the wheels, brake pads, and alignment. Gateway was very helpful in fixing all problems all the while providing great customer service. I came to Gateway Auto service just pass their normal working hours with one of my tires completely flat from a screw that had damaged it. I had tried with several friends of mine to get the tire off to replace it with my spare tire but could not get it off. They gracious helped me past their normal hours and had me on my way in no time. I would gladly use their services again and I am so thankful they were there and willing to help.Service: Tires

Watch out for their guard dogs that patrol the fencing. Their dogs don't help with the burglaries in the area, even though they will claim that. Their dogs just bark at other dogs and people they just don't like. For your own safety, avoid this place.

In April of 2021 I had $3200 Dollars of work on my Nissan Rogue.it consisted of axle assembly, suspension arms tire rods, alignment etc. three months later it needed an alignment but Mike at Gateway said Chicago streets are too rough and it would not be covered. So I brought it to pep boys and had the alignment done and got a year warrantyTo day I brought the car back to Pep boys they said they could redo an alignment but it needed other work like axle and suspension arm etc. I showed them the bill from Gateway and was told bring it to them because the parts were purchased from AdvancedAuto and have a life time warranty.Mike from Gateway told me the parts and labor were only covered for 12 months and 12,000 miles ( I had 13,000). I went to Advanced Auto and they confirmed I had a lifetime warranty, but could not give me the parts because I was not the original buyer.We are talking over $ 800.00 dollars of parts. So Gateways plan is to get the parts for free and charge me $800 again plus labor.The last time I wrote a bad review was 20 years ago so believe me these guys are bad news. I've gone here a few times for oil changes, and they installed a new set of rims and winter tires. So far so good! They are pretty flexible with scheduling and they have done quality work. Gateway Auto has exceeded my expectations numerous times. Their service rates are substantially lower than competitors and they offer the best customer service. My AC compressor had to be replaced and not only did they complete that job, they also interior/exterior detailed my car and put air in the tires for no additional charge. They go above and beyond what the customer expects. I highly recommend their services. Thank you Gateway Auto!

High recommend Gateway on Elizabeth Street! I called when my power steering went out. Not only did they fix the problem (and even allowed me to purchase the part and have it shipped to them), but they also identified another problem and fixed it. They completely degreased my engine, all within a few hours! The price was EXTREMELY reasonable and they were incredibly professional and responsive to my phone calls - even the one after hours. A big Thanks to Mike and the team there!

I went to two other places over the last year due to brake/engine noise on my 120k miles Toyota and it kept recurring. *Mike* was concerned about the brake noise and assured me they would 'take care of me and keep me safe', as soon as I got my car back I was ASTOUNDED by the difference in how the brakes felt. I didn't realize in all these months that my brakes were actually not functioning as well as they should have, and I WAS unsafe. Thank God for Mike and the Gateway Auto Team. Quick, cheap, fabulous people. I felt "taken care of" and so thrilled this is finally fixed, an my family is safe.

Whether it s auto repairs or detailing, the team at gateway has been amazing. They came highly recommended from a friend of mine and I ve never been disappointed. There have even been instances where I brought my car in for what I perceived to be an issue, they took a look, then let me know there wasn t really any problem. That s the type of service you ll get here- honest, extremely competent, and respectful. I can t recommend a place higher.

Bought a used Corvette that runs great but needed some detailing to make it one of a kind and stand out. My buddy Phil said I should take it to Gateway and have Martin do it. AWESOME DETAILING JOB!

Took my car in because they're close to my office and needed to figure out what was causing my steering wheel to wobble. They were able to get it in same day and get back to me quickly, but told me I needed $2,000 worth of suspension work & tires for another $800. After taking it to a couple other shops they all said the same thing: there's nothing wrong with my suspension at all and all I needed was the tires. Glad I got a second opinion and saved myself $2,000+.

I would never and I repeat never take my car to Gateway repair shop due to their inabilities to fix my 2010 BMW X3. To begin with gateway repair shop held my x3 two months to repair a radiator and gasket leaks in the truck. I was charged 6500.00 to correct these problems Less then a month later my truck starting to have Misfire which would allow my truck not to exceed over twenty miles. Again I took the truck back to Gateway repair shop. For almost two Gateway repair shop made attempts after attempts to correct the problem. I would call trying to find the status of my truck. I was told we are replacing cylinders I never given a clear response to exactly what was wrong with my vehicle While attempting to repair my i was told I need a new engine I finally told Gateway repair shop to get my truck running so I could remove from their shop. When I pick up my truck the motor covering was left off. I am extremely disappointed in Gateway repair shop if they was unable to correctly repair my x3 then I should have been informed. I felt I was ripped off by this shop. I have pictures of it not put back in place on my x3. Stay away from this shop

great experience! From beginning to end the customer service was great. Unlike other repair shops where you may not feel comfortable, they are honest and recommend services that are needed. Shadi (the owner) is a very friendly person. They are very reasonable with pricing. Also must add while you wait (if you choose to do so) they have a cafe with complementary coffee,expresso,fountain drink,etc.

See first posting at the Division Street locationEven worse....Owner looks at me like I have 2 heads...(read...no way there is a problem with their work) The owner does check out the breaks and shows me how great they are, drives it, and assures me there is no problem. Then he says, "if you hear any noises or have any problems, let me know". HELLO? .Dude, isn't that what I came here for???? .deaf....dumb....what? Oh, I'm a girl...could that be it????Now I have to go someplace else and have them tell me why my breaks are grinding and they feel low. And then go and get my money back.
